Good morning,

I will go to the gym this afternoon! Hope the roads clear up by then:confused: I am so sick of snow:confused:

Have a great day and eat clean! BBL to report my workout!

Today was cardio and I'm on a Tracey kicks so I chose StrikeZone. Had a good workout although my oblique area and IT band were tight this morning. It was hard to do twisting moves. Need to get that stretched out later tonight. Everything else on me feels great. No more hamstring tightness or glute tightness. Those were the most painful ones I had, so now those seem to be good again.

HR STATS:
60 minutes total
5 minutes below zone
20 minutes in zone
36 minutes above zone
471 calories burned

Hi ladies. Yesterday I managed to do the weights at home. Just couldn't get myself to the gym. Same set up as Debbie and I was able to increase at least 1.5 #.

SS #1
Dumbbell Military Press - 21.5
ss w/
Leg Press Station - 60# (did step ups onto high step)

SS #2
Incline Dumbbell Press - 31.5 (If I'd had DH, I would have done 35)
ss w/
Chinups - used heavy band and did 12 x 3

SS #3
Barbell Preacher Curls - 15 # dumbbells (much better than the measly 12 last week)
ss w/
Lying Barbell Tricep Extensions - 16.5 # dumbbells.

Roxie - good job on the water intake. Now if we can just guilt you into lowering the soda more! LOL

Debbie - glad you're hams are better and that you're enjoying your cardio!!

Belinda - I've just been taking some sinus medicine. I think the meds may be making me feel crummier than the sinus issue.

Chris
- what do you have going???

Wendy - what day of STS are you on? Aren't you about to be done?

Nora - awesome workout last night

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Good Morning,Everyone!

I'm beat today. What day this week have I not said that? What's wrong with me? My cold symptoms have disappeared, so it's not that. Who knows...

DH was off last night, so we're going to head out to Sears to see what we can find for a dishwasher. They have 15% off Kenmores this week. And we're hoping if he opens a Sears charge we'll get some good deals too.

Planned workout is MMA: Boxing! Yay! Plus I'll do some abs, maybe SJP abs (you girls have me wanting to do it from yesterday's report!). Won't do it until after our shopping though.

Belinda: I'm sorry to hear about all your snow. We've been really lucky so far (*knock on wood*). I see bear ground right now, with little patches of white , only. ... I have a feeling your back will take a while to heal. Like MONTHS. What does the PT and Doctor say? I just think these kind of injuries are long healing and strengthening, and it is hard to be patient.

Debbie: You have me very curious about those kickboxing workouts! I do have a amazon GC on it's way, and I think I will definitely order one. Thanks for the recommendation. Glad your legs/hips are feeling better. What have you done differently? do you think it's the extra stretching or laying off the TM?

Roxie & Nora: GREAT job on your workouts last night!!!!

Good Morning,

Tonite I am going to do Ellen Barretts Slo-Robics and maybe the other one I didn't get done last nite.

Has anyone done Step Moves yet? I was curious how it compared to Athletic Step or any other step DVDs in terms of HR. I read some reviews that it was not really advanced?

Checking in -

I'm DONE!!!! I did disc 36 this morning before work and I'm done! What a ride!
I'm so looking forward to trying all of the new SC workouts. And, no, Heather...I haven't done either of the step ones so I don't have any info about them. Let me know what you think. I have only done 40/20, 30/30, CCC, and MMA Kickboxing.
Chris - hope you found a good deal at Sears. Did you end up doing MMA Boxing? I haven't tried it yet.
Roxie - good job on the one soda! Are you drinking water at work? Enjoy your slo-robics tonight and whatever else you might do!
Belinda - I grew up in Alaska and I actually miss the snow sometimes! Here in the northwest it's just gray and rainy. Much more depressing!
Nora - what's on tap for you tonight? So do you only have another week or two of P90X?
Debbie - I got my husband one of those foam rollers for Christmas. I ripped out some roller exercises I think from Oxygen a few months ago. I need to give that a try. Hope you feel looser tomorrow!
Have a great night all!

Hi girls!;)

I guess I'll start off with checking in then go to personals.

Here's today's workout:

STS Cardio: HiiT-30/30=30 minutes
Calories burned= 369

This was my first try at HiiT since its supposed to be the easiest of the three. I really loved it and felt so invigorated afterwards. Now,that's not to say I wasn't sweatting like crazy and struggling to catch my breath because I definitely was. This was very intense but was short for a workout. I was so glad of that at the end thinking no way I could do that for 40 minutes to an hour, I'd need paramedics and oxygen if that were the case LOL!!! I really loved this workout and can't wait to try 40/20 HiiT but I recall Cathe said not to do them two days back to back. So, maybe this weekend or next week. Good stuff once again from our Cathe!!

and

P90X Yoga= 60 of 90 min
Calories burned= 246

Still not loving YogaX but trying. I can't struggle with twisting and balancing poses now that I have MS. In my case MS has effected my balance and coordination on the right side of my body and my vision in my right eye. I used to have a dancer's type balance and flexibility even though I'm not. I was able to prior to MS to do all the balancing poses and twisting poses and even the advanced versions of those, not now so its so tough and I fall a lot if I try because of my now iffy balance. So, I do what I can but I feel that Yoga X doesn't modify nearly enough and is way too long I mean come on 90 minutes for all levels, not possible at least not for me. Now, I will say I really love the StretchX dvd from P90X, its great. I like to switch doing YogaX with one of my other yoga workouts that does stress lots of modifications and is shorter in length time wise or just do StretchX.
Total calories burned= 615

Debbie- I love StrikeZone and I agree with you I think its a blast and Josef is awesome as a real martial artist and demonstrates great form. The Cardio Kickbox Challenge is great too, I've previewed it all and hope to do it this weekend. It looks like so much fun and intense, I love that! I'm so glad your not having anymore pain in your hamstrings or glutes, that's so awesome!:)

Heather- Great job on your workout at home. WTG, that you were able to increase on your weights. You should give yourself a big pat on the back. I know that increasing the weights even a pound makes a big difference to me and I can feel it, so 1.5 pound increase is very impressive. Great job!!!

Chris- MMA Boxing is awesome and I know SJP abs are great too. I hope you have fun with your workout today, it does sound like a really fun one. Ooh, on finding a dishwasher at sears and a nice discounts, I hope you get a great deal. FYI, I just replaced my dishwasher recently and I found it at Home Depot, it was a lot cheaper and they had free delivery. Not sure if that's the case where you are but though I'd pass that along.

Roxie- I haven't tried any of Ellen Barrett's new workouts. I really like her older ones for pilates, she's great on those. Have a fun workout Roxie!

Heather- No, I haven't gotten around to trying Step Moves yet, but I've heard that it will remind you of Rhythmic Step, which I love but need more pratice with. I did try Athletic step and loved that, we've done the steps from this one before but not put together this way, that sort of threw me off a bit. My muscles have memory and kept wanting to do it differently. Nice to know something of mine has a great memory!:p It does look like a lot of fun from the preview but will probably take me a half dozen times to get it down, unless I surprise myself but I wouldn't bet on that. LOL!! Have fun with that one Heather!;):) I did my first HiiT workout today 30/30 and loved it! Now I'm chomping at the bit to try 40/20 HiiT. I like really tough workouts that challenge you and make you sweat and feel like OMG, will I survive this!!! Yes, I'm crazy that way!:p

Wendy- Waves hello!! I can tell you're enjoying Shock Cardio workouts, awesome! They are fun and lots of great variety definitely plateau and boredom busters for sure. I'm currently on day 4 of week 7 of P90X, so far so good and I even bought P90X Plus to do after and to rotate in with P90X but only after I've completed round 1 of it as it is first.

Ok girls, that's it for me today. I hope you all had a great workout today and are feeling great. Seeya at tomorrow's check in.;)

Hugs!!;):)
