Good morning,

I am done with D5:p

I am back from the PT appointment. I am getting 4 more weeks of PT, I am also getting anther MRI done. My back is getting much better, but I still can't turn or do twisting moves:confused: This is going on for to long!

Nora, wtg on P90X PlyometricsX yesterday. Trust me, my form got ugly by the 5th push up:p Great workout today.

Heather, wow on your squats, girl!

Roxie, yeah! I totally noticed it too:p I read an intersting artical about coke, need to find it for you!

Wendy, LOL, thank goodness I don't have mirrow in my workout room, I am sure my form isn't always the best:eek: Glad your DH spotted you the other day, makes a big difference! Congrats on finshing STS! What are you results? That's fantastic!

Debbie, your rotation looks like a lot of fun! As soon as my back is getting better. I will do your rotation. I will check out TS Cardio Kickbox Challenge after I am done posting. Glad you like it! Keep stretching! Something I need to do? BTW, how do you do the Abs Triset?

Chris, how are you feeling today? Glad you enjoyed 40/20 yesterday, still haven't open my DVD's!

Today was the same workout I did last Wednesday, only in superset format and I upped my weights a bit.

90 second rest between each superset. Each superset was 3 sets/8 reps each.

SS #1
Dumbbell Military Press - 22's (up 2#)
ss w/
Leg Press Station - 160# (up 5#)
***Good superset, could have gone heavier with the leg press, but my right knee is really bothering me.

SS #2
Incline Dumbbell Press - 37's (up 2#)
ss w/
Chinups - 8/8/8 (last week was 8/5/5)
***I could not believe I was able to do 8 reps with each of these supersets with chins. I felt really strong today.

SS #3
Barbell Preacher Curls - 57# (up 2#)
ss w/
Lying Barbell Tricep Extensions - 57# (up 2#)
***Each of these exercises were tough. I went to complete failure with both exercises on all three sets.

ABS
Step Jump & Pump Ab Work
***Love this one, got a good workout and concentrated on all the movements.
 
Happy Hump Day! My quads are actually a little sore this morning. I still think I took more of the chest press in my shoulder than I should have. I am trying not to get sick today (this started yesterday) so I may end up having to take today as a rest day. We'll see how the day progresses. Took a Claritin D last night and didn't sleep for squat. Sometimes I don't know if taking meds is better or worse than being sick :confused:

Belinda - good job with D5! I was going to ask about your back this morning.

Roxie - there are some fizzy waters (cost more of course). Try adding lemon juice to your water. I seriously don't like water myself. I have just made it a habit though. That's absolutely all I drink all day at work. I'll have tea at lunch or with dinner. Once you get used to being truly hydrated, you notice immediately when you've missed a glass or two of water.

Nora - awesome workout yesterday!

Debbie - can't wait to hear how you did this morning. I'm sure it was awesome!

I forgot to say that last night I did Hardcore Extreme hi/low premix and SJP abs. I love those abs too Debbie!

Debbie - you must have been posting at the same time I was! Good job with those weights.

Didn't get a workout in last night DH came home and he is leaving again today and won't be home until Friday so I spent some time with him. Tonite will be KCMs KB and another Ellen Barrett that has pilates and wts.

Heather-the fizzy waters have the same thing that pop has that makes it bad for you. I will drink more water and less pop today.

Debbie-good job on the wts today. Good girl getting those abs in today.

Belinda-I hope you get some answers on your back soon.
 
Roxie - once you wean yourself off of them, you really won't want them anymore. I was never a big soda drinker by any means, maybe 2 a week. So it's def. easier for me to say this, but once you stop with them completely, you really won't want them anymore. I haven't had one (and that was only 1/2 a can) since Dec. 27 at my dad's. It'll get easier. Just keep at it!

Heather - When doing a chest press heavy, you will definitely get sore in the shoulders. I do every time. I try to concentrate on contracting my chest muscles while doing the movement but I always end up with sorer shoulders then chest. You are doing everything right.

Roxie - I'm gonna start getting on you about pop as you are with me about abs. Pop is PURE sugar, even the "low calorie" pops have sugar in them. They are addicting like nicotine is. Just think about how hard it is for your husband to quit smoking. You can quit the pop. It's the same type of addiction. Think about him every time you take a sip of that dreaded fizz, and remember how mad you got at him when he faultered. :eek: ;)

Nora - Wow, week 7 already. I can't believe it. You are really doing good with this rotation! I am so proud of you. And I also loved PlyoX, it never dragged for me and I never looked at the clock to see if it was almost over. I just got sick of it after a while. I need different cardio here and there. Glad you are following the diet plan, I'm sure you will see excellent results being as disciplined as you have been.

Wendy - Hi girl! Missed you! I don't know if Strikezone is at Netflix, I don't believe I've ever seen it there. I'm so fed up with Netflix. I have a TON of movies on short and long waits. It's BS! I have one of Tracey's workouts that has been on long wait for at least 2 months now. WTH??? I'm very disappointed with them. Nice job on almost completing STS! Woo hoo!

Belinda - For the ab tri-sets you just do all three of the exercises in a row with 15 reps each, rest one minute, do it again with 12 reps each exercise, rest 1 minute, then do it a 3rd time with 10 reps. It's a burner. Sorry to hear your back is still giving you problems, I heard that it could take up to a year for back injuries to heal.

Hope I didn't miss anyone.
 
Hey All..

Checking in quick with my workout today: GS, Legs. Haven't done that one in forEVER! Killer ball and band work at the end, how could I forget??? my legs are sore now, I can only imagine tomorrow :eek:

I was a diet soda drinker too. I gave it up as well. I drink tons of water. It's just habits you have to get used to. I do drink a diet coke once a week on Sundays, though, with our dinner. Not so bad, compared to what I used to drink. You can add a TON of stuff to your water. Or even get those fizzy soda waters and maybe add a little juice for flavor.

Got to get going with my errands here...

Debbie - Re: Netflix, I don't know if I've ever had a movie on the Long Wait...but on the Short Wait, they've always sent me the next movie (workout!) on my list with a msg saying my first choice is being sent from another area and to expect it shortly. Then I end up with 2 at the same time! Yeah, I'm guessing Strikezone is too new for Netflix..? Great workout, today BTW!
Roxie, yep, to agree with Debbie, your soda habit is probably a lot like your DH smoking. Good to think of it that way. And to agree with Heather, it's AMAZING how you get used to drinking water and how THIRSTY you become for it! Keep up the good work!

Chris, looking forward to revisiting some of Cathe's other weight work. I have only 1 disc of STS left! I am considering doing and undulating STS rotation, though. Are you doing a particular rotation?
Nora, how is Tony? Which P90X disc will you do today? I really like Plyo X, also. Always a good one. Windy and rainy here - ugh!
I did 30/30 this morning before Bible Study - because I literally had only 30 minutes to spare and that was only if I rolled out of bed and got straight into my workout clothes! These new Hiits are perfect for that! I did Disc 35 yesterday - plyo. And my lower body was actually a little sore before my workout. I'm feeling some nice DOMS setting in. Hoping to get in Disc 36 tonight or first thing in the morning before work. Yeah!

Wendy - I'm fighting it. I think I may win! It's mainly sinus drainage and then the Claritin D has a tendency to make me feel kind of icky, but I have to keep it from getting into my chest or I'll really be sick fast (have asthma & any chest cold ends up bronchitis or pneumonia).

Yep, I've done all of the HiiT workouts. 40/20 is my favorite. I've only done the 30/30 once. Time just flies by with those! You almost don't have time to realize you're being tortured.

Belinda: So glad to hear your back is better. But I'm sure it will take a long time to get back to normal. You have to be patient! Just do what they tell you and keep up your PT, right? ... I did feel better today, but found out I think I'm fighting off a cold. Just a few sniffles and sneezing. Maybe that's why I didn't feel myself?

Heather: Hope you feel better today, did you rest? Probably a good idea. Hardcore Extreme Hi/Low premix sounds fun, and I guess SJP abs were the ones to do this week!!... yes, workout amnesia! Definitely!!

Debbie: Great weight workout today, and you even enjoyed abs!! ;)

Roxie: Hope the soda thing is going ok today. did you see my idea about sparkling water and juice?

Wendy: ALMOST done with STS!!! wooHOO!!! doesn't it feel good? Although both times I felt kind of "lost" when I was done, didn't know what to do next. The Shock Cardios are EXCELLENT for short days, and they're kickin!! Good job on 30/30 today. Do you see any results from STS? New definition? Both times I got VERY nice upper body definition. And it seemed last time when I went with circuit workouts afterwards , I kind of lost it. So this time I wanted to stay with 3 day splits and heavier weights. I decided to do Cathe's JAN 10 Rotation, but with Gym Styles and 4DS weightwork , instead of STS again. I need a break from STS. I think I may start it up again in April though. Basically, I'm doing Shock cardio workouts, with GS and 4DS. I'm stealing the 4DS weight work from Debbie's DEC 08 Rotation. I'll alternate weeks...

*waves* to Nora! Ya, the girl in the video from Beach body seemed to have more symptoms than you , being confined to a wheelchair, and all. But it totally AMAZES me that you (and her) are beating the symptoms of MS by exercising! I'm in awe of that!! I love it!! ... GREAT job with Plyometrics yesterday! ... I'm still debating on whether I will do P90X. Debbie kind of turned me off saying how the same workouts got boring. I like variety, esp in cardio. I'm afraid I'll feel the same way...

Just finished KCMs 30 Min KBxing. Went to the eye dr. tonite for new contacts and they cut up my left eye real bad and my right is irritated. I have to use eye drops all night. I want to do Ellens Burn and Firm Pilates after I get done talking to DH tonite if its not to late an my eye doesn't hurt to much.

I am doing everything they tell me to do about my back, I stretch, do my PT exercises, do on top abs (nothing to crazy) and do my regular workouts everyday! All this stretching you would think, I am all stretched out:eek: Nice going on GS legs, that's a tough one!

Heather, sorry to hear about your sinus acting up! Do you use a sinus rinse? I use NeiMed sinus risne every day twice a day, it really keeps my sinus under control. I bought mine in Walgreens, DH needs to get the

I tried to oder it today from her webside, but they don't ship to an APO address! They ask em to select International shipping at checkout, which would cost me an arm and a leg:confused: she did offer to set up a coupon code so that I will receive $4 off -- the difference in US and International shipping.
