Hi girls!
It looks like you've all been hittin' the workouts hard today, bravo!!!
here' today's workout for me:
P90X PlyometricsX= 58 min
Calories burned= 594
I love Plyometrics X, its so much fun and always makes me sweat. I like workouts that I don't find myself watching the clock with major dreadfactor waiting for it to be over. It was fun and as usual P90X Plyometrics X rocks!!!
I know someone asked what week I'm in P90X, I just started week 7 and this is week 2 with the nutrition plan it comes with. I have to say the food is great and there is no starving with this diet its balanced, clean, and healthy.
Belinda- You did 6 pushups on your toes!!!
WOW!!! That's awesome, great job! Ugh, I here you about Pikes on the ball, its a work in progress. I hope to get it one of these days. Great job on doing iTread Set 24 on the TC, I like those also. I've never tried the treadclimber but I'm in awe of your workout, awesome job keep up the great work.
Debbie- Thanks for sharing your rave reviews on Cardio Kickbox Challenge. I got mine in the mail yesterday but haven't tried it yet. I did preview it and it looks like a great one. I liked her Strikezone too and this is even better. I hope to fit it in and maybe add a sunday workout just so I can do that one. Normally, that's my rest day, but hey its kickboxing and I love those kinds of workouts. Yes, I'm still doing P90X, I'm in week 7 of that one. I'm still liking it and working hard at pushups and chinups. Those are not easy for me but I'm slowly improving, so that's good. I'm glad you enjoyed your workout so much and stretching is helping, but I have to say you are making anxious to do it too! Great job on the workout today!
Heather- Great workout, I'm so glad you took it easy at the gym since your were lifting without a spotter. It does sound like you did really well, I'd probably skip tomorrow from working out if you have DOMS in strange places i'd had for you to get injured. I get DOMS on all Cathe's GS workout except for Legs, that one never gives me DOMS, not sure why. Take care and maybe have a nice warm bath with epsom salts for those sore muscles, it would really help.
Roxie- Have fun with whatever workout you choose. I like to do the ones I have fun with and find myself smiling or laughing at some of the moves. I truly have fun working out. I never used to like working out when I was a teen or in my 20's and I hated PE in school. Its funny because I'm the opposite of that now in my 40's. The main thing is to have fun with the workout and enjoy yourself, find what you like and then it makes being consistent with your workouts a lot easier. Good luck and happy workout to you!
Chris- You are braver than me I haven't tried 40/20. I plan to do HiTT 30/30 on Thursday followed by P90X Yoga probably more like 60 minutes worth on the yoga. You are one brave lady, I noticed some other ladies on the boards in the Shock Cardio Forum have tried it and lived to tell the tale.
I agree P90X Ab Ripper X is the toughest I've ever tried. I get DOMS with that one, but its all good. Please get some rest, I know how tough fatigue is to function with and the only thing that helps is sleep. Thanks for the link to the girl on the Beachbody video, I watched it. I was touched and so proud of how she's made such monumental progress. I can truly appreciate and understand how hard a struggle that is even though my MS has not put me in a wheel chair, but I've had major issues at first with not being able to walk with any balance or coordination. I'm sure people thought I was a total lush and drunk because it was that bad. I know some days I can't write with my right hand because of my MS and days I'm feeling very tired and fatigued I need help walking to steady me and can't write those days. There are good days and bad. Just gotta roll with it and figure this is just for today, tomorrow I will be better and do better. I think fighting my way through MS is through fitness and exercise it helps mentally, physically, and medically and that's powerful stuff so I make myself do it, because the alternative is unacceptable. Enough about that stuff, you need to rest and get some sleep take care of yourself and feel better.
Wendy- I definitely recommend Tracey Staehle's StrikeZone and her new one "Cardio Kickbox Challenge," you'll have a blast! I'm in week 7 of P90X and liking it. My knees are something I sometimes have to modify for and I wear knee braces when I workout to help with that but I'm still plugging along and getting it done. Its still doable and if I can do it anyone can. I can't do pull ups and chin ups unless I use the bands as shown in P90X or I now can do chair assisted Pullups and chin ups. So, I'm feeling pretty darn good about that progress. Take care!
That's it for me girls, I'm off to make a late clean dinner and watch the Biggest Loser!
Hugs!
