Crazy Strong and Loving It for Dec 4, 2009

Good morning ,

I am done with CCV5! Had a great sweaty workout!

Off to the shower! BBL for more personals!

Hi ladies. Today will be a rest day for me. Although I'm itching to do weights! Since I do my weights over the weekend, I feel like there is a LONG time between lifting. I have been adding pushups after abs though. Kind of liking that little extra something.

Yesterday I did the hi/low from Hardcore Extreme, no drills, but did add calf raises with weights. Then I did the weight part only from STS weights/plates abs and pushups. I stretched for a bit as well. Tomorrow is Disc 30 (shoulders, triceps, biceps I think).

TGIF!

Good Morning,

From the way my legs feel after last nights workout I will be doing SM tonite, my thighs are screaming.

Another rest day. I'm almost 100% back to normal. I am going to take the rest of the weekend off and start the recovery workouts on Monday. This will give my body extra time to heal and then the recovery workouts will be a bit easier on me until the 2nd phase of this workout begins. I'm happy with this decision.

I probably won't check in now until Monday. So you all have a great Friday and weekend!

Hey Everyone!

GREAT workouts so far!!! (or great planned workouts!)

I ended up doing KCM Plyo from Cardio Blast! It's soooo weird, because she reminds me sooo much of the nurse practioner at the boys pediatrician. The way she looks, and the way she speaks. It's a bit eery, but I like her, so it's all good! LOL!. As for the workout, I liked it! Great 30 minute sweat, right? My HR didn't get WAY up there , like with Cathe's Plyo, but it was up there enough! It amazes me that you do these Sloooooow jumps and then when you stop it's like WOAH! I can't breathe right now! ... I thought about standing legs , but thought I needed more cardio (ate crap yesterday), so I did an add-on from Step Blast, the first 2 combos. Ended up with 50+ minutes. Not bad!

Off to grocery shop, cook, clean , help at Jake's class, and then to see Santa for 5pm!

Hi girls!;)

Debbie, I'm glad to hear that your feeling so much better. That's so awesome!! I know that back pain totally sucks, years ago I sprained my lower back, so not fun. I can sympathsize with you. Definitely take the weekend off and rest up.

My right side of my body is very effected by my MS, and the part of the brain that controls balance also suffered lesions making my balance sometimes questionable doing things (especially when fatigued), other times its not noticeable to others. I can always tell but one of the things doctors have told me is to stay active with my workouts keep doing them and add yoga, weights, or even tai chi to the mix. Yoga is great for balance and gentle on joints, weights strengthens arms and legs and just overall strenght. All great stuff for people with MS because Strenth, Balance, and mobility are a constant issues for people like me. I'm not as bad off as many others that have MS since there are more progressive forms of MS. I don't mention this to gain sympathy, not at all. Its just something I have to work around and not give into. I only mention this to let other know that yoga and weights and cardio are very important to your health both mental and physical. Those of us with physical challenges can't phone in workouts, its vital to do them wether is an issue of arthritis or other things. There is more to fitness than trying valiantly to look like a model, I'm still working on that one, LOL!!! So girls, I'm just saying its good if you move it, and keep moving it!! ;):) Keep up the always awesome job or working out, its a gift you can give yourself that reaps many benefits.

Here's today's workout:

Cardio Fusion premix #1 All Step Cardio (48 min) add 30 push ups and 200 sit ups/crunches= 48 Min plus time for cruches and pushups
Calories burned= 426
this was fun but my knees and wrists were hurting a little.

P90 YogaX= Length its entirety=92 Minutes
completed= 34 Min
Calories burned= 139

I completed 34 minutes before my wrists were hurting me too much and my balance was wavering to much to be safe. So, I called it a day on this one. It was good, what I did complete of it was a little boring compared to other Yoga DVD's I have. To be fair though those are with Rodney Yee, Sara Ivanhoe, Baron Baptiste, and Brian Kest. Those people I mentioned are yoga instructors solely so maybe its not fair to compare Tony to them. After the yoga X part I did complete with Tony I did feel more stretched out and loose, so that's all good.:)

Ok, sorry to go in the above statement. Just wanted to share that everyone can workout within their own limitations whatever they maybe, as Cathe says modify where needed.

I wish you all a great Friday evening and see ya all at tomorrow's check in. ;)

Hugs!;):)

Good morning, girls!

That was a nice post, Nora. Good reminder that we are so far ahead of the game because we are working out taking care of ourselves. Hey - did you watch the Civil War? I didn't, but sounds like it was a great game and both teams should be proud!
Let's see, I have a couple of days to account for...um, I did Mindy's Awesome Intervals 2 days ago. This was a really good workout. I have done a couple of hers and have enjoyed them all. Yesterday I did disc 22. My husband and I were finally home at the same time so he could spot me. Yowza! This was HEAVY! What's Meso 3 going to bring? I also tacked on the blast only premix from Imax 2.
We're headed up to the company Children's Christmas party today. Need to get moving!
Debbie, Heather, Chris, Belinda, Roxie and Nora, I hope you all have a lovely day!
