Good morning,

Never got my workout in yesterday:mad: So today, I am playing catch up:rolleyes:

Chris, glad you enjoyed SC yesterday. I am still waiting for mine. We had a lot snow, now it’s raining. We picked DD up Sunday.

Debbie, glad you getting all checked out.

Rockie, love that premix. Hope you had fun.

Heather, love the pic. You look so pretty.;)

Nora, wtg on your wor.out yesterday.

Wendy, hope you had a great workout.

I will be back later!

Today was P90X Back & Biceps. Had a pretty good workout. Pullups were good on some sets and bad on other sets. I upped my weights on some exercises and that made a huge difference.

Wide Front Pullups - 5 unassisted; 5 assisted; 5 assisted

Lawnmowers (One arm rows) - 35#/10 reps (upped these 5#)

Twenty-Ones - 20's/21 reps
***These were hard and my form sucked. I think I'll need to go down a bit next week.

Cross-Body Curls - 15's/10 reps
***I should have went heavier here, made a note to do that next time.

Switch Grip Pullups - 5 sets assisted
***Here you do two reps with overhand grip, two reps underhand grip. These are hard, I doubt I'll ever be able to do them unassisted.

Elbows-Out Lawnmowers - 30#/8 reps (upped this 5#)

Standing Biceps Curls - 20's/12 reps

One-Arm Concentration Curls - 20#/8 reps
***I did better with this and the way Tony does these, but I still don't like them.

Corn Cob Pullups - 7 assisted
***These are pullups, you move right, left, middle and then down - that's 1 rep. I like these. Even assisted these were hard.

Reverse Grip Bent-Over Row - 20's/12 reps
***Made a note to go heavier here.

Open Arm Curls - 17's/10-4 reps (upped this 2#)
***These burn like a mother.

Static Arm Curls - 12's/16 reps
***Could have gone heavier here, made a note to do that next time.

1 minute rest

Towel Pullups - 15 reps total assisted
***I liked this one. You place a towel over one side of the pullup bar, grap it and you hold the other side with your other hand with an underhand grip and pull up. did 3 reps each side for a total of 15 reps. This was a cool exercise.

Congdon Locomotives - 20's/30 reps (upped this 5#)
***These are bent over alternating rows. You just keep alternating rows for 40 reps. I only made 30, they burned like hell.

Stability Ball Incline Curls - 20's/12 reps
***These were suppose to be those Crouching Cohen Curls, those hurt my back so I subbed this exercise. Need to go a bit heavier here.

One-Arm Corkscrew Curls - 20's/10 reps (up 5#)
***These are alternating dumbbell curls but you start with your palms behind you, then you corkscrew the curl up. I liked these.

Chinups - 3 unassisted/7 assisted
***This was sad, I usually can do way more unassisted.

Seated Bent-Over Back Flyes - 17's/15 reps (up 2#)
***Need to go up here.

Curl-up/Hammer Downs - 17's/10 reps (up 2#)

Hammer Curls - 17's/8 reps
***Lowered weights here because I was fried.

Max Rep Pullups - 12 assisted
***He said to pick whatever pullup/chinups we wanted to do. I chose the Towel Pullups.

Supermans - 5 - 10 second holds

In-Out Hammer Curls - 17's/8 reps (up 2#)
***Really felt these. You do a standard hammer, then one out to the side. Great burn here.

Strip-Set Curls - 25's/20's/17's/15's - 8 reps each
***Excellent weights here. Really worked for each set.

Morning,

I am done with CCV7:) Getting ready for Regensburg, we never made it yesterday. We all took a 3 hour nap:confused:

I will be back later!

Good Morning!

Hey Belinda: Nice job on ME!, Enjoy the gym! ...Good to hear you have some snow there, and your DD is there too!

I'm going to follow my plan of yesterday: early shopping, home to do Week #3 of Plyo Legs, and then bake some more. Oh, and wrapping and laundry thrown in there too!!

Roxie: It's funny, I read some reviews of Athletic Step, and of course people had issues with it. And complained about it. I did it yesterday, and found their complaints to be minor to me and LOVED the workout. Just like in 4DS, people went on and on about that difficult combo, but to me, it was something I worked on for a bit, and ended up enjoying! Another gal from the other check in I post at did Step Moves and had no issues with the cueing, though she did say it will take her a few more tries to get it down. Don't be put off by others reviews, you really have to do it yourself!

Nora: You continue to blow me away with your workouts!! I read your post as saying you weren't feeling well and having a bad day, I fully expected you to say you skipped your workout!..but you didn't!! Good for you!! hope you feel better today...

*waves* to Debbie, Heather and Wendy!!!

Hi ladies. Last night I did Cardio Fusion and C&W abs. I did skip drills 1 (uses the weight for line taps, quads plenty sore already) and 3 (uses stability ball and upper body already plenty sore). It was still over 50 mins long.

Not sure if I'll do anything today or not. I have my gym bag packed for spin, but I'm going to play it by ear and just see how I feel today rather than push it.

Belinda - good job with ME. Hope your gym workout was good too.

Nora - kudos to you for getting in the workout even when you weren't feeling so swell. Take care!

Debbie - those alternating rows sound kind of cool actually. I may try those.

Chris - have fun shopping and with plyo legs (can fun and plyo legs be in one sentence??? LOL).

Hi Roxie and Wendy!!

Good Morning,

I unlike Nora didn't get my workout done because I have managed to pickup another cold and my stomach hurts. Tonite is suppose to be Imax 2 blast mania but DD turns 22 today and we are going out for her b-day so I plan on doing something with a little less impact, I did do my 30 pushups this morning and I have 200 situps to do some time today.

Chris-thanks for the review on Athletic Step alot of people at VF are not Cathe fans so they are always complaining over there.

Debbie-love the names on some of those exercises.

Belinda-have fun with DD we are suppose to get rain here turning to snow.

Hi girls -

Looks like everyone is keeping busy. Great job on your workouts. Like you, Belinda, I feel I need to play catch up. I need to get week 2 Meso 3 started, but need my DH for spotting. So I may do cardio then do...probably nothing else - there's NO time! Geesh!
I promise to get at least cardio in today. Then I'm off to work..
You guys have a GREAT day! And Chris - lucky you! My STS Cardio won't be here until next week - apparently I slow-boated it. Drat! I'll need that kick in the pants next week, that's for sure!
Good times.....

Debbie - I got them. I think I may try the 8 week rotation first. There are a couple of exercises and abbreviations from the superset/straight set workout I'm not familiar with so I'll PM you on those I'm sure. What is SS Grip Pullup? And does SLDL = single leg dead lift. I'm so excited! Thank you again!

Wendy - I won't get mine until next week either b/c mine is being delivered to DH's office tomorrow :( and he's off of course.

Hmmm, I think SS Grip pullups means supinated grip. Not sure. I just did different types of pullups and chinups. SLDL - Still Legged Deadlift. Both legs together.

Just so none of you think I was saying anything bad about Nora in my post I wasn't. I feel horrible because I let a little thing like a cold to stop me from working out and she is fighting something much bigger and she does hers, I am in awe and humbled and inspired by her.

Roxie - I didn't think you were saying anything bad! I doubt she'll think that either.

Hi girls -

Got CC #3 done this morning and Ab Circuits no equip abs. I think I've got the rest of my ducks in a row for today, so, whew!....off to work.
Hope everyone stays warm and safe today! Eat clean! (Wendy!!)

bye...

Hi ladies. I decided to take an unscheduled, necessary rest day for myself. I'm actually not feeling guilty about it either (at least not yet). I had to be realistic and honest, I have to take a break. DH and I are planning on a noon spin class tomorrow though. I'm hoping that taking today off will help me feel a bit more rejuvenated. I will then take Christmas Day off. So 2 rest days in 1 week  trying not to panic about it. Why is it so hard to be good to yourself?

I guess I feel like I'm somehow copping out. Just making excuses. I can't let it become an easy habit to skip out on workouts....

Roxie: I didn't think you were saying anything negative about Nora either..No worries!!

Wendy: Hey! I did no equip abs yesterday ! that was tough, wasnt' it? I swear, I can NOT do those side scissor moves where you're supposed to sit on the "soft" part of your butt. I can never find a soft enough part! I feel my bone digging into the mat, and it hurts to bad to do the exercise! Kind of makes me mad, because CATHE doesn't have any "soft" parts either, so how does she do it?

Heather: OMG, you will NEVER make it a habit to skip workouts!!!! I know you! You won't , ever, ever. But I know how you can feel a little guilty or something about taking an extra rest day. We're a strange bunch here! LOL
!

Hi girls!;)

Wow, its almost Christmas~ I can't even believe it. I think I'm in shock or denial, LOL!! I'm still not feeling great so I'm chalking it up to MS fatigue either way I'm still making myself workout.

Here's today's workout:

P90X KenpoX=56 Min
Calories burned= 535
I wore llb weighted gloves on each hand. I kept in the zone for most all of the workout which is 75 to 80% of my max heart rate definitely in my zone, so that's cool.

Belinda- Great job on ME, I know that's a toughie! Have fun at the gym;) Geez, and Cardio Coach Volume 7:eek: You rock! Great job!!!:)

Debbie- P90X Back & Biceps looks like that will be a seriously tough and killer workout. You did a awesome job, as usual. I know I can only hope to lift what you do. I'm working on it though.:)

Chris- Thanks for compliments;) I love Plyo Legs from STS its fun and fast and definitely a very good workout, nice choice! I hope your Plyo Legs workout was a good one. I know this holiday time has everyone busy and exhausted more than usual, at least that's my story and I'm sticking to it!:D

Heather- Great workout the other day! Its understandable if you don't feel like a workout today. Its okay to take a day off during the holidays. Even Cathe realizes this and came up with shortened timesaver workouts for December 2009 rotation, plus Cathe always says to listen to your body. So, that seems like good advice to me. ;)

Roxie- No worries I knew what you meant. ;) Great job on doing the push ups and crunches! I know that its hard with the holidays and family around to workout so do what you can when you can. Your doing a great job with your workouts.:)

Wendy- Hello and waves to you! I know its that crazy time of year that can sometimes makes working out tough to fit in ones schedule so do what you can and don't beat yourself up about the rest. I hope your enjoying STS, its a keeper. Once the holidays are over its always easier to settle in to a regular workout schedule that fits for you. I see that you posted you did CCV3, and Ab Circuits No equipment abs, that's a tough one. Bravo on your workouts!!!:):D:eek: Have a great evening and take care! ;)

Take care girls, and have a great evening. Seeya at tomorrow's check in. If I don't see ya then Merry Christmas!!!:D

Hugs!:):D
