I did KCM Muscle Up Shoulders Bis and Tris this morning. It's going to be another hot day but that's OK Do and I will be inside watching GS.

Belinda-welcome back glad you had a good trip but coming home is always nice.

Today I did Burn Sets Chest, Back and Shoulders and had a great workout.

This is what I did:

CHEST
Dumbbell Chest Press - 30's - 2 sets 10 reps; 3rd set 12 reps
Dumbbell Chest Fly - 25's - 2 sets 10 reps; 3rd set 12 reps
Incline Dumbbell Chest Press - 30's - 3 sets 10 reps
Pushups - 16 reps (8 on toes, 8 on knees)

BACK
One Arm Row - 35# - 2 sets 10 reps; 3rd set 8 reps
Double Arm Row - 20's - 2 sets 10 reps; 3rd set 10 reps
Rear Delt Fly - 15's - 2 sets 10 reps; 3rd set 10 reps
Supermans - Skipped

SHOULDERS
Dumbbell Overhead Press - 12's - 2 sets 10 reps; 1 set 12 reps
Single Arm Lateral Raise - 8# - 2 sets 10 reps; 3rd set 10 reps
Single Arm Rear Delt Raise - 10# - 2 sets 10 reps; 3rd set 12 reps
Scarecrows - Skipped due to running out of time.

Nora - Good girl, do that program the way it's laid out. You'll be fine with it!

Roxie - Dang, I didn't realize it was that hot where you are. And bummer on them possibly closing the place. I hope not for your sake. What a pain it is to look for another job.

Hi girls;)

I finished today's workout a few hours ago and have been trying to figure out according to the BB guidelines and book how many calories I am supposed to consume. They say 2200, that seems like a lot. I'll try but I so want to get rid of the fat and gain lean ripped muscle that is attractive. Anyways, I will now check in. I can say that I don't go as heavy on the weights as they do because I can't lift as heavy with good form so I lift weights that do challenge me with good form. I used #10's, #12's, #15's, and #20'S db's.


Here's today's workout:

This is BB Build Block #1 week #1

Body Beast- Build Block 1- Chest & Tri's= 49 Min
MV= 6.0
CB= 401

I have a couple more days left to finish the Daily HiiT- Summer Body Transformation 30 Day Challenge so I sprinkled them in the workouts for this week there is a total of three then I'm done with that. So that's why you will see those in there this week. I have to confess that I will probably do a short Cardio Coach mix tomorrow before I do BB Legs. It will warm the legs up really well before BB, so that will be fun. I really am missing Cardio Coach TM workouts and trying to curb the urge to do them every day. So for me this is a huge deal, I love my cardio but I have to say love the heavy weights too!

That's it for me today girls. I am enjoying BB so far and love how great form is stressed and used and how modifications are shown. Sagi even says if the weight is too heavy to do all the reps then go down in weight do what you can do. I love that! I don't feel there is a decline in quality instruction from what I have learned from Cathe. I think Cathe and Sagi are on the same page with weight training instruction and I really appreciate that.

Debbie- great workout today with Burn Sets Chest, Back and Shoulders today and love the weights you used. Nicely done with XTrain today girlfriend. I was wondering what do you think about BB recommending 2200 calories for me a day? I think my head is spinning from that and the limit on cardio per week. I'd be happy to learn what your thoughts are on all of that, so please share.

I haven't felt well all day my throat is scratchy so all I did was my planks tonite.

Debbie-it was 100 here today and suppose to be 104 tomorrow. Its ok I knew they were running out of money I just don't like the way its being handled. I am applying for a job at the library here where I live and then try some other jobs. Good job today.

Today I did my version of Cardio Coach #2 and had a really good workout. My knee is feeling much better, thank God! My right one still hurts but it's not bad. I can at least deal with it. I just need to be careful with what I do.

Workout was 38 minutes total, ran 2.25 miles and burned about 337 calories.

Nora - I personally think 2200 calories for women is way too high, no matter how much weight you are lifting. The highest I ever went in my hay days with lifting was probably 1800-2000 and 2000 was on a weekend when I'd eat more junk than normal. 2200 is more what men would eat I would think. Keep it at 1800 and you should be good.

Belinda - I'd see excellent results if I'd quit eating like a pig. Good god, I'm not sure what is wrong with me. All I want to do is eat and I'm not making good choices. I have been better the last couple weeks, though. I need to lose 10# and I'd be a happy camper. It seems so hard to do that anymore.

Roxie - That's too bad. Working in a library would be awesome! I'd love a job like that. Good luck to you!

I feel so awesome after even a short cardio coach session I've so been longing to do Cardio Coach again, of course I crave that when starting a strength program like BB, LOL!!

Body Beast Build Block#1- Legs= 38 Min
MV= 6.0
CB= 311

Total calories burned= 581

I used High step, #15,#20,#25 db's and #5, #25, #30 on BB. I really loved the BB Legs workout today that was fun! I really am having fun with this so far and love the great cues and use of proper form demonstrated by all.

Debbie- Thank you so much for getting back to me on that. Yes, I thought 2200 was way too many calories for me. I know I need to eat more clean healthy stuff especially if I want to achieve weight loss and build lean ripped muscle. I will definitely work diligently to improve the eating to get the results I want. Thanks for your knowledgeable input.:) Great job on your mix of Cardio Coach Vol. 2. Debbie - I hear you on the eating:confused: That's my problem too. Ate like a pig on vacation. Lot's of Bison Burger:eek: At was so bad I told my husband I can't look at another Bison Burger and I only had 3 total:p:eek: At doesn't matter what workout I do or how long I work out. I can't lose those 10 pounds. I gained them since we moved to the US:eek: Or maybe it has something to do with age:eek: That's why I lighten up on my workouts, working out an 1.5 hour backfired on me:( I preordered Cathe's new series….not sure if those workouts give me the results I am looking for. If STS didn't do it, I doubt her new ones will? And of course, diet plays a big roll.

Today I did Burn Sets Bi's & Tri's and had a great workout. I went a bit lower from last time because my left elbow has been bothering me again. What is up with the left side of my body? I don't get it. Now it's my elbow. :rolleyes:

This is what I did:

BICEPS
Dumbbell Curls - 15's - 2 sets 10 reps; 1 set 14 reps
Simultaneous Rotational Curls - 15's - 2 sets 10 reps; 3rd set 12 reps
Concentration Curls - 20# - 2 sets 10 reps; 3rd set 10 reps
Hammer Curl Double Arm Crazy 8's - 12's - 24 reps

TRICEPS
Tricep Pushups - 3 sets
Lying Tricep Extensions - 12's - 2 sets 10 reps; 3rd set 11 reps
One Arm Kickbacks - 10# - 2 sets 10 reps; 3rd set 10 reps
Dumbbell Overhead Tricep Extension w/Tube - Did about 10 reps, these burn

ETA: I forgot, I also did Core 1. Love that ab workout!

Belinda - Eating has been my barrier lately. Not sure where my will-power went. There are days I do excellent and then days I do terrible. Not sure why? But just so you know, Bison Burgers is the best type of ground beef you can eat. When I was trying to get a lot of protein in, I would buy these and eat one daily. So don't sweat that.

Roxie - I love to read, too. My Nook goes with me everywhere I go! :)

Debbie- Nice workout today with XTrain Burn Sets Bi's & Tri's great weights too! Xtrain has some super awesome weight workouts and I love the premixes and workout lengths so you can truly accommodate your workout time that works for you. I did BB Back and Bi's today and feel amazing, love it no complaints whatsoever. Thanks again for the advice,.

Debbie- through August Body Beast is at a reduced price. You can order it at Beach Body or through Mary at totalfitness.net Body Beast. The price at Mary's is $ 39.90 plus shipping. I think the regular price is $89 so this is an awesome price. I do think you'd love Body Beast. I wanted it for a long time but when I found out the Price reduction I had to order. Its not often Beach Body will sell there stuff at a lower price Plus its through beach body so no issues of it being a fake or copy of their product. So if your are thinking you want it I'd get it while the price is still reduced through August so just a few days left to get in on this. I'm sure the price will go back up after that time. I hope the info helps. Oh and the link for Mary's site FYI she is a BB coach so its legit too!

Wow, I gotta say Beast Cardio, is awesome and so is Beast Abs. They really give you a lot of workout it a short time. Beast Cardio is 30 Minutes and Beast Abs is 12 Min. I am so happy with my BB purchase so far. This is day 4 for me and I just started week 1 block 1 of build, I'm loving it. Debbie you would so love BB. I recommend this to anyone who loves lifting heavy, appreciated great form, and wants a time efficient workout that really works. Even though this is only Day 4 for me I am feeling it work and starting to see my shoulders, bi's and tri's starting to get the cut look. This is so thrilling to begin to see a hint of results already. Yes, I do have DOMS but not like Cathe DOMS where I hurt so much I can't sit or lift my arms. This is much more tolerable. I feel that I have been working out and got DOMS but still able to move so that is great, GO BEAST!!

Debbie- Girlfriend you really should get Beast, you will love it and the price through August is a steal at $39.90 + Plus shipping VS regular price of $89.90 + Plus Shipping. I didn't get Temp that is a separate purchase of $29.00 I think. I felt that it was too expensive but I do have Cathe's Slow and Heavy (or GS sections) so I can substitute that one and just do the parts as I would for Tempo or I could use the Build workout they suggest as a substitute that is included. Cookie - nothing wrong having a little fun I believe I have that DVD I love Barre workouts, they are so much fun. And like you, I feel my legs all day long.

Debbie - great job with your workout this morning. Do you have any iTrain workouts? Beachbody is selling Body Beast at Amazon for the same price you would with a Beachbody coach. BTW, the reason you think you get a good deal is because they took Tempo out the original Base kit;) If you want Tempo which I believe , you end up paying the original price which was I think like $56:eek: You really not saving anything, IMO:eek:
