Crazy Strong and Loving It for Aug 4, 2009

Chris - I am glad you had a great run!!! I'm jealous especially today. I was really hoping my ankle might loosen up throughout the day. That's just not happening. There is no way I am going to do anything other than abs today. :( I wish I had an ankle bandage, all I ever needed were knee wraps/braces/etc.

I must say that I am feeling extremely down today b/c I know I can't exercise. I think exercise has to be addicting - the endorphins. I'm sure it's just a strain. I can't imagine a broken toe!

I had an AWESOME endorphin flying run at the park! So glad I did it! Something about running puts me in the best mood... I thought it might be too hot, but it was great, cool in the shaded areas, with a nice breeze in between the sunny hot spots. I did a few hills and the duck pond steps a few times. Good stuff! ..

Heather: You really should rest your ankle today. I do know how hard it is. I broke my toe last Fall and went bezerk trying to find workouts I could do. I was desperate! But if it's not swollen or red , it's probably just sprained/strained. You should RICE it (Rest, Ice, Compress or wrap it, and Elevate it).
 
Patti: That story is funny. She "can't hang with them"... too cute! Yes, you are taller, but I know Cathe is short, so the difference is big....

Heather: Sorry about your ankle. I TOTALLY understand how you feel depressed. I felt the same way, I really did. You should have seen me stealing my boys' Wii Boxing for my cardio. that thing KILLED me too, got SOOo sore from all that punching. i also did the KPC and KM workouts with JUST upper body. I was kind of pathetic. Until I found my DH's bike and found out I could ride it without my toe hurting bad... I do think we get addicted to the endorphins.

Going to go start some grilling so we can have time after to go to the "Summer House" and get some ice cream. It's the perfect evening for it!!

Here's what I did today:

Cardio Coach Volume 3=45 minutes
Calories burned=553

in the zone for about 35 minutes of 45. I stayed in 145 up to 156 BPM Range. It felt great too! I've missed Cardio coach but can't do it as often as I want because of knee problems. I really love Cardio Coach and feel so awesome everytime I do them great stuff!;)

Hi girls,

I was going to post earlier, talked to my son for a few hours on the phone.

I chose one of my Cardio Coach mixes. It has 3 challenges on it, Challenge #2 from CC #8 (the 2 - 8 minute intervals), Challenge #1 from CC #7 (the 10 - alternating hill climb/sprints) and a challenge from CC #6S (5 - 1 minute sprints). Had an excellent workout. I felt VERY accomplished when I got this done.


Chris, hope you like your new rotation. That one sounds like fun. How nice of your dh checking on your son, glad you getting plenty of rest. Glad you had an awesome run go at the park.

Bev, for some reason I thought you went to the RT too. Great job with your DOMS.

Debbie, your cardio coach mix, sounds like crazy fun. I will copy it and try to figure out how to mix it on my ipod. WTG on your run today. You need to see a doctor with your knees, they need to figure out what is causing it. Sending healing vibes!

Heather, how is your ankle doing? Glad you seeing a doctor tomorrow. I haven’t done an iTread in month, I mostly do cardio coach. I do need to switch things up, keeps me from getting bored. (((HUGS))) for feeling down today.
