^^^^ Crazy Cheetah Land Thursday^^^^^

carole- HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!

linda- thanks, received your card (i feel like such a slacker).

christine- have you tried any of the snow angel workouts from spinervals.com? i just received flexible warrior 3!

ttyl..:)

I'm back. :)

Wendi: Oooh that gym membership deal is AWESOME! I'd come and personally smack ya one if ya didn't go for it!}( LOL You didn't miss anything. I am still doing the X but I'm doing a rotation that I created myself and I've left leg day open instead of forcing myself to do the same work out every week for so many weeks in a row. Sorry about work. If you don't want to talk about it then they should respect that. Letting you know they are there when/if you ever DO feel like talking is sometimes just enough.

Kristi: If you go here: http://www.annecollins.com/calories/calorie-needs-women.htm and scroll down to the bottom where is says "calorie needs for women 18+", you can just plug in your stats and it will calculate your base calorie needs or the higher end cals if you are zig zagging via the harris benedict formula which is what I used when I zigzagged. It's been so long since I did it that I can't remember how you arrive at the deficit # but that should help you to start with. :)

Christine: Sorry you suffered a hangover at the hands of your younger co-workers. Isn't it amazing what we were able to do in our 20's and can't do now in our 30's+!? I used to go out during the week dancing and drinking and stay out late and get up early for work the next day. YIKES! Not any more!:p Yes, I started the X this week. I'm using the bands. I am enjoying the no weights thing though I have just decided to tweak my rotation a bit. I've decided to use weights for every other leg work out and go heavy so that I don't lose strength in my legs during the X. The other leg work outs will be endurance work outs of choice w/o weights.

Carole: HAPPY ANNIVERSARY to you and your DH! Tell him I said he'd better know how lucky he is or I'll come kick his you know what!}( Nice pics! Thanks for sharing. :)

Sunny: My goodness, you are getting as bad as me! It seems you have a new work out coming every week these days! You go girl!}(

Jackie: Great work out. Did you pick your new ITreads yet?

Wendy - Thanks for the website. I filled in the requested info and it said 2000 calories is what I need. Wow that is alot of calories. I think I will readjust my zigzagging caloric intake, but I can't imagine eating 2000 calories on my high calorie days. I will probably shoot for 1700 or 1800 instead.

Cathy & Linda - Thanks for the Christmas cards! :) :)

Jackie - I'm glad the box got to you safely. :) :)

Kristi,

When I would eat my upper end cals for that one day, I felt like I was gonna pop by the time the day is done! When you are eating right, it is amazing how much food fits into 2000 calories! HOLY COW! And yet at 1500 I was left wanting just one last snack at the end of the day most times. Oh well, it worked like I charm and I see it's worked for you too! Good luck with it this time round. :)

Wendy - Nice little mish mosh for you. Sorry it wasn't the best but as long as you felt it, that's what matters. Great job on the run. Guess I have downloaded this month's itreads. Must have forgotten. But, I thought #24 was for November. I did miss the Armed and Dangerous one though.

Christine - No, we can't keep up with the 20 year olds but I'll bet there are some things we can do much better. I finally warmed up. Looking forward to going home in a few minutes.

Kristi - I can eat 2000 calories on Saturday sometimes especially after a long run. That's the time to eat some good ol' pizza. You know I've been shaking that box. :) But, I will wait until Christmas or until everyone else is ready.

Carole - What are the anniversary plans? Hope you have a good one!

Bye for now.

Jackie

Jackie - You are too funny! I can picture you shaking the box. LOL No peeking! :p :) Do you think everyone is going to wait that long? Yummy pizza! Yeah I could hit the 2000 calorie mark with pizza. Actually eating 2000 calories on the day of my long run isn't a bad idea. Thanks!

Hey Chetahs It is a post and run day.

All day was 'errand max' and card writing! But now it is done.

And my wonderful DH suggested we go out to dinner after we pick up the kids and then get our tree. I did not leave time to cook so I am thrilled!

Based on the Cheetah suggestions I chose a circuit today BM@ Cario & weights sans abs. Pilates class took care of working my abs nicely today. Well it is off to the post office and then to pick yp Dsfrom practice.

Howdy Cha cha Cheetahs!!

Got in B&G last night and I have to say I could swear I saw Cathe with little red horns }( matching the red/black outfits several times when I glanced at the screen…LOL That workout is a killer…..and today I’ve got “you’ve gotta EARN it” stuck in my head…hard to believe that sweet little Cathe can be so brutal!! LOL

Lori – Mr. Pickfingers is very handsome….I’m not able to eat much before an evening workout either. The problem for me is then after the workout I feel like I’m eating too late….what to do, what to do?

Cathy- Sometimes we all need to allow a doze or two. I’m planning on a nice cardio run this evening on the treadmill. I have a couple of Itrains but I’ve mostly been using Podfitness mixes instead since I can have my own music but an instructor’s cue. I guess I can try one of my Grace runs again it is just sometimes the music annoys me.

Lorie – Awe shucks, the youtube of Linus brings up the page like it is going to start the movie but instead the little things in the middle just turn round and round…darn…I wanted to see Linus swingin’…He really is ADORABLE…. Good idea about the medals! I should try that since I have Sooooo many of them and don’t know what to do with them.

Wendi – Very cool about the gym! Dreadmill is better than no run at all…Hope things at work get better for you…hang in there!

Wendy. – youz guys are really making me want to drag out my Grace Lazenby Itrains and get a krackin’ on them! I really like how she pushes, but I just can’t stand her music sometimes!

Kristi - I love Bunko! I used to play as a sub in a group when I worked at another campus. Awe, you can avoid the food tonight, just do what I’ve been doing today whilst walking past all of the hoards of See’s candies; I just say “you gotta EARN it!”…LOL
Aren’t your new DVD’s some BOSU workouts? Let me know how they go if so...

Christine…poor Christine…Yes, I know the feeling you had. A few years ago at a very posh wedding, I erroneously overdosed on Cakebread Chardonnay and let me tell you, I never want to see the black marble tile in the bathroom of the Downtown Sacramento Hyatt ever again….baaaahhad experience…this was the time I set a perfect example to my children of the dangers of too much alcohol! Geesh, they STILL remind me of “that time I was sick on the couch all weekend”… Hope your workout will be good enough to “cleanse” out the toxins….lol

Carole – Nice photos! I’ll have to check on the Avenue of the Giants. Are there any other half marathons you were considering next year? Oh yeah, and HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!

Hi Sunny – WOWZA on your workouts! I think I’d drop dead if I tried to keep up with all you cheetahs! LOL

Jackie – LOL – DH will give the bosu to the kids and have them put the pretty lil’ bow on it; he’s not a wrapper. Um, the wall color? Weeeeaaalll, I wanted to do color but DH threw a hissy and said since the wall in there had not been painted in years, he wanted a good white coat that has the mildew resistant yada, yada yada. SOooo, for now the walls are butt-ugly white, and my plan is that when I’m on my break over Christmas, I’ll go select the colors I want and do like a sponge wash type thingey on them…DH can’t say nuthin’ about it because he’ll be at work! LOL I’m thinking a pretty blue hue that won’t be too dark as blue is my favorite color.

Judy – Awe have a wonderful evening with your family! I love when my DH suggests we all go out, and you get to get a tree to boot! NICE!!

Ok friends, I better get back to work…dang, it is only 2:40 pm here and it seems so much later because it is dark and rainy today….

Ta Ta for now,

Thomasina

Good evening gals!

I actually have a couple of minutes to catch up on personals before I head off to bowling (without SO who is in Maine on business). I have to be to work early tomorrow morning so I probably won't "see" you guys until tomorrow night ;(.

Carole - Awww, Happy Anniversary!!! Thanks for the vibes...work was bearable today. Thanks for sharing the pics...that coaster looked like fun! How was your ITB pain today after your run?

Lorie - Great run this morning! I hope I get a little down time soon so I can watch Linus' video.

Sunny - Wow, I'd definitely say you made up for yesterday...WTG!

Jackie - I can't wait to take advantage of that PF deal! I'm 5'1" on a *tall* day...heehee ;). We were on the same page today with the cold. I had a big bowl of butternut squash soup while at work today. I needed the warm-up! Nice workout today.

Wendy - Wow, great workout today!!! I'd certainly deserve a good wollop if I let that one slip by me!! Thanks for the clarification on your X rotation. I think you've got a great idea going there! I need variety...short attention span I guess ;). I do appreciate the support from my SO and mother but it becomes more of a "you should be doing this, stop doing this, when are you going to quit" type of conversation...if you know what I mean.

Judy - Great job with Errand Max! I always feel so accomplished when I finish that one ;)! Have fun tree hunting...I can't wait to have time to get mine.

Thomasina - You were not hallucinating there, girl! I've seen those horns, too }(! Great job! Sorry about the dark, dreary weather today. Thanks for the well wishes.

Christine - So, how did HSC go? That one will certainly clear away the cobwebs!

I've gotta motor! I hope everyone has a wonderful evening.

Hello again, cheetahs! :7

PM workout done: 200 walking lunges followed by 2 sets of wall squats (1 min. both legs, 15 seconds single legs) – might not sound like much but after S&H this morning and the lunges, my legs were shaaaaakin’ something fierce. Finished off with 30 min. steady state on the EXT @ 30-20-10 inclines. Feelin’ good!

Lorie :: yes, this is a super-busy time…between meetings, observations, assemblies, etc. the days rush past in a blur…I found out I now have to miss two days of class next week to sit in on the interviews for a maternity leave position on my team…I can imagine the referrals would really start to kick in once the 1st marking period is over…As a regular ed teacher, I must admit, I don’t know all that much about RTI and haven’t yet seen its impact, but I have heard some in the special ed department grumbling about it…does it make the classification process more complicated?…thanks for the warm fuzzies today…good idea to put up your medals as motivation.

Lori :: hate when you lose posts!

Wendi :: great progress getting your weight back down to where you want it…no small feat at this time of year, for sure!…The Planet Fitness deal is unbelievable!!!…Sorry work is workin’ your nerves. Deep breaths and give yourself a mental break from it.

Kristi :: have looked at the Copeland DVD…looking forward to hearing your thoughts on it…I am the same – put a spread out in front of me, and I’m toast…I will definitely wait til the 25th. My family’s tradition (German) is to celebrate mainly on Christmas Eve, and we exchange gifts then, so this’ll be different for me to wait until the 25th.

Christine :: Airports and hangovers do not a friendly pair make. Glad you’re feeling better…I don’t think you really need to ship your Secret Santa via two-day air…I think you still have plenty of time.

Carole :: HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!! Any special plans?…27 years sure is an accomplishment nowadays…Love the pics…You and your sisters have such beautiful smiles…How was the run in the rain?…My room was up to 62 today…downright balmy *lol*…I am told all the heating valves in my hallway are due for replacement…let’s hope soon! I know I’m not the only one with a cold classroom and I hate to complain – I love my school and my principals and co-workers, but was getting tired of sucking it up! And I think it's a disgrace to the kids. But for some reason, it just hadn’t dawned on me until this week that these germies I keep fighting off could be associated with the constant chill and draft.

Sunny :: heckuva workout! I was with you on y'day's unplanned rest.

Jackie :: thanks for keeping me in line! I’m feeling nice and pumped now post-workout, so there’s no danger of me falling asleep before Grey’s. Not a show I typically watch, but I got completely sucked in the other night…Would you say the iYogas you’ve done are more power yoga?…Smiling at you shaking the box.

Wendy :: I am definitely going to do the yearly iTrain membership but will probably wait til after the holidays. I, uh, have to put the kibosh on the self-indulgences...great workout!

Judy :: hope you enjoyed your dinner out.

Thomasina :: crackin’ up at your example of the dangers of alcohol…you are too funny!

OK, gotta get cleaned up here. Have a great night, all! :)
