Counting our blessings!!!

MAYNARDSMOM

I'll try to make this short. My DH works in a factory & normally does not work weekends. This is the end of the 1/4 & they had a job that needed to get out & we need the extra $$ with the holidays coming. So he was working Sun at 5am, called me at church & said he didn't know how long he would be there probably most of the day as they needed to get the job done. About 5:45 my oldest son & I were on our way back to church & went to drop him off dinner, on our way when we saw all these ambulences, fire trucks, police cars etc going into the plant. Called DH & he said there had just been an explosion in his dept to stay away. He thinks one guy may have been killed (still unsure of how he is). DH is fine!!! Shook up, but otherwise ok. He said another 30 seconds & he would have been right over there. We are so thankful & praising God for watching over him!!

tami how awful to hear about the accident but glad your dh is okay. i hope things are okay and everybody survived.

Wow, that is incredibly scary. I bet you are extremely grateful this morning! I will be keeping the families of the other workers in my prayers, especially the one that seems to have been killed. :(

Glad to hear that your DH is doing fine but sad to hear about the explosion.

It is important for us to count our blessings.

Tami, I'm so glad your DH is okay! How scary!!! My thoughts and prayers go out to those who were injured or killed and their families.

Update on the injured workers.

The one had surgery is in critical cond. The other worker was released.
DH is on his way home, wore out & drained.

Thanks for all your care & concern - it means so much to know there is so much support.

update

DH came home from work yesterday, went back today. Osha wants to talk with him tomorrow. Word is the company is talking with employees first. Can only imagine what they are saying. Not exactly a great company if you know what I mean. Out for the mighty dollar not the man who makes it for them.
Please continue to pray for DH & the worker in ICU

Thanks
