Could someone please kick my butt?

I've been working out consistently for a few years now but the past three weeks have been terrible. I've barely gotten my cardio in and my lifting was negligible. I'm juggling quite a bit right now, so I am trying to be gentle with myself, but losing my workout habit would be very bad. Main excuse was taking a class m-f for previous two weeks, but I am done w/ that and should be getting back on track.
Scale this morning showed wt loss w/ increased body fat percent! Just slight, but still...

OK, had to do a confessional, thanks for listening. Off to jump start the beginning of my week.

Jody, I have been there... and often feel like I am still there, LOL! Sometimes I try to manage it by asking myself which option I prefer for the week: weights or cardio, and then try to manage however long of a weights-only workout I can fit in. Sometimes that helps. All the best!

Here ya go:

Now, that's done, but I think you're probably being too hard on yourself. Take a deep breath, start fresh, and get back up on that horse. I have been struggling with not being able to work out as much lately, but in my case it's a sprained ankle (ugh, so tired of it). Still, we gotta keep doing what we can when we can. You can do it!

p.s. sorry that i kicked you so hard--it was the best butt-kicking smiley I had.

Hey we could kick each others butt. On your mark get set go!:D

I'll race you to the weights.... Going to workout now no more writing or complaining.

Take Care,

Sometimes I find that if I pick out a rotation with a specific focus in mind I'm more likely to stick to it. That way, I don't have to figure out what w/o to do when I get home...it's already figured out for me.

Somehow if my workout is on paper and staring me in the face, I have a hard time NOT doing it. With all the rotations Cathe has posted, the toughest part is picking one out.

Hope this helps and kick butt!

Angie

Thanks, y'all for the butt kicking and support. I mowed my lawn, which took at least hour and half, and then did BM2 circs and about 12 minutes of the step which took about 30 min. I am fried, but plan to do the upper body part yet today after a break, we'll see. Hey, its only about 20 min long, right? So that would be a really strong start to my week. Throw a few more cardios in there and hit one body part a day and I am back on the horse. woo hoo! Thank you again. I've missed reading the forums as avidly as normal these past few weeks.

I'm pretty sure we burn some calories mowing the lawn. I did it last week and I was wiped out!!! Your workout looks good too. I was like that in the beginning of July. I felt very tired and I was getting bored of doing the same things every single day. I did something that hurt me though. For two weeks I was exercising maybe 2 days a week tops, then the next week I tried to give it 300%, tons of high impact cardio, I was lifting heavy with no modifications, doing tons of core exercises like a maniac and by the end of July I hurt my lower back. I definitely learned my lesson. Now my back feels a lot better after being on meds and doing low impact cardio, but I learned that I'm not 18 anymore and if I take a long break from exercise I have to take it slow when I start again. I'm glad that you're back on your feet and that you're exercising again. Maybe you need new workouts...:p
