"Core Secrets"

Yesterday, I saw an infomercial with Brooke Burke on "Core Secrets". Basically, it looks like workouts on the stability ball. I really LOVE Cathe's workouts on the stability ball in the Body Blast series, and would love more of that. Has anyone ever tried this workout? Any information? I tried Video Fitness, but didn't see anything about it (or I just missed it!!) Thanks, all!

Hi,
I bought the Add ons instead of the infomercial set and love them. They aren't as tough as Cathe's stability ball routines but I don't mind that. I can't say I can do pikes that well anyway. The Full Body Challenge was fun. The AB Assault is nice to tack on after a cardio ... it's not a tough ab workout but it's decent. I used the Give Me 20 after PS BB and it worked well. I haven't tried Bun Battle. The production is good and Gunnar is very professional. I liked working out with him. These are not tough workouts...aside from FBC, they are not stand alone ones either. Infact I'm pretty sure I did cardio after FBC. But they are feel good workouts...and my core has improved considerably despite them being easy. I don't know if intensity junkies would like them. But I love doing them after running.

RE: Core Secrets

I have Core Secrets. I thought it was real easy to do.I get more from doing Cathe's Workout. If i had it to do over again i wouldn't have wasted my money on it. That's just my opinion though. I'm hooked on Cathe. Thanks for listening.

RE: Core Secrets

I guess that I just want to find more exercise videos using the stability ball, but some that are intermediate or advanced. I have one with Kathy Smith, but it is way too easy, and talk about a waste of time!! I think that she giggles more than she exercises. The one with Karen Voight didn't do anything for me either. Any suggestions anyone??

RE: Core Secrets

The AB Assault is harder than Kathy Smith for sure. But why not try Stott Pilates on the ball? I have Core Balance which is level 1 and the preview for level 2 looks good. I believe as you go up the levels the instructions are not as detailed and it flows faster. So far I'm happy with Level 1 though.

RE: Core Secrets

There are two DVD's at amazon.com by Adam FOrd. A total body stability ball workout (beginner to high intermediate) and an abs workout (low intermediate to advanced). As a bonus, he does the workout shirtless (so you can see those abs), wearing only some stretch shorts with some boxers over the top.

RE: Core Secrets

Cathe will be coming out with Core Max pretty soon. It might be worth the wait (and money). Susan C.M.:D

RE: Core Secrets

I pre-ordered Cathe's new series a while ago. I need to get back into shape after an accident, and like the stability ball for balance. I'll look into Core foundations. Is the quality of the videos ok? I've heard that it was really pretty poor, but that the exercises are awesome. Thanks.
