Morning all on another dreary, wet wet day. Will the sun ever stick around:(

Yesterday we put the boat and dock in the water and opened the cottage. Starting next weekend I guess we'll start going up. Forced myself to do Athletic Step last night and glad I did. My legs were dragging though. Not sure if it was b/c I was tired. They felt heavy from some of the running I did on Saturday.

Kim - I know for me, I'm better at avoiding ackward conversations rather then addressing them head on - maybe your friends didn't think you would want to talk about the trial. Now back to your workout! 4 days - talk about lazy:D:D

We had a snow storm yesterday but it's pretty much melted now. This morning I went to work it was -5C and coming home it was +11.
Strange weather, hope you get some sun soon, Patricia!

I decided to start the May rotation instead of going back and finishing up the last few workouts of the April rotation. So did LIC today and now watching the election results. My guess is Harper with a minority government same as before.

I guess cottage season is on!

Whatever happened to your coworker that was doing jury duty??
 
Disc 35 - plyo legs done. Just one more to go and this rotation is done. I can't believe I lasted 3 months when I can barely stick to 3 weeks with a rotation.:)

I'm thinking of doing Supreme 90 next but not commit to a 3 mo rotation. Plus I have to figure out how to get Jillian in there to entice DH to w/o with me. I also looked at FitnessFreaks summer rotation and really like the look of that one too!

Kim - yikes on the snow:confused: I'm surprised Harper got a majority. I didn't realize how well NDP were doing until my Mom pointed it out to me on Sunday. The jury-duty was only 1 week - never followed up with him as to what it was about. Thanks for the reminder as I'd forgotten all about it.

Tonight is DS's soccer night so will get my w/o in after that.
 
Afternoon Coolers

After taking DS to soccer I got in Michelle Dozois's cardio blast from her Ultimate W/O video and then I did Slim n 6 Cardio Core for some ab work. Tonight will be the final disc for STS - Bi/Tri/Sh

Finally its Hump day - will be glad when the weekend is here.

Sorry didn't post yesterday. I had the interior designer out again to look at window coverings for the dining room and basement. Thinking of some funky shears for the dining room to give it some colour and Roman shades for the basement. Then there was swimming lessons and just didn't feel like working out when I got home, seems like a lot of rest days for me lately.

I was very surprised with the election results should be interesting to see what happens over the next couple of years.

CONGRATS on finishing STS!!!! It would be nice over the cottage season to have a more relaxed workout schedule.

I got an university intern with me for the next 8 weeks sure has made the last few days go quickly with doing lots of teaching!

Are you heading back to the cottage this weekend?
 
Forgot to say I did get KPC done tonight. This workout seems to be in almost every month's rotation. I used to really like it, kind of boring now as I almost have it memorized after doing it so often.
 
Yeah, STS done!

Just some cardio tomorrow night and this week is done!

Kim - I never really got into KPC. I had it in VHS and it got eaten the last time I used it. I haven't felt like buying it on DVD. I think I like STS KB better. I do have Kickmax which I never do. It never comes up in a rotation....
 
Just finished LowMax. They started the outside work on the house today! I have tomorrow off and have lots of errands but with all the workmen here, I'm not sure what I'll get done.

I got my kindle cover today, it looks okay.
 
Morning Coolers

Last night was such a beautiful night I went for a good walk around the neighbourhood. I think there were only 2-3 sunny days in April so it felt good to get out.

Tonight is my rest night and then off to the cottage for the weekend. Might take a video with me - not sure which one though.
 
Yesterday was crazy here. Tons of guys here working on the stucco, replacing a window. I needed to be here for the window guy to be able to come inside. The house got real clean as it's limiting what you can do with lots of workers around.

One time I looked outside and saw one of the workers peeing.:(:eek: It's just field behind us and they are building a road there, he was behind some building materials so I guess he thought he couldn't be seen.

After they left I did get a 40 min run done on the tm.

We went to watch the MB Moose play the Hamilton Bulldogs in the evening and I took my Kindle. It fits in my purse and was perfect for reading between periods!

Quiet rainy weekend! Today my sisters and mom are going out for a mother's day lunch. Will try and get my wo in but it's LIS (the beginner workout that Cathe put out) so easy and shorter. Also going to take ds for an interview at the hospital where I work as he wants to start volunteering. No plans for tomorrow except Muscle Max!

Have fun at the cottage!!!! Do you have lots of work to do there this summer?? Have you decided on what to do after STS??
 
Morning Coolers

No w/o for me this weekend, except I did play Baseball yesterday. I'm a spare for a slo-pitch league and got called yesterday afternoon to play. So not a complete rest weekend:p

Had a relaxing weekend at the cottage. Just sat and read and played with DS. We took him to see Rio yesterday too.

Kim - I don't feel so bad taking my Kindle with me everywhere if you're doing it too! Pretty soon your DH is going to say the same thing about you that mine does. Once I got mine he complains I never have it out of my hands:) Don't send the rain this way. It was sunny all weekend here. We need to build a stair to our deck and finish the railings at the cottage and then some pesky painting that still needs to be done.

I've asked DH to get on to having my gym flooring installed as I've emptied out the room. Hopefully he'll have good news today for me as to when he can arrange for that to be done. Then of course I'll have to paint that room too!

I'm going to do some of the Supreme 90 w/os - not sure if I'll do a rotation though. Plus I want to try and get DH to do some Jillians and I'm going to try and incorporate some some outdoor activities even if it only walking. I like to bike but its lonely doing that by myself.
 
Sounds like a nice relaxing weekend at the cottage. I had a real relaxing Mother's Day, super lazy, read lots of books. DS let me win at Scrabble since it was mother's day:p DH did Muscle Max with me. Last night I could not sleep for some reason and so am super tired tonight. Therefore no workout happening, going to head to bed early.
So are you not on a regular baseball team this year?? Just sparing?

Raining lots here, yesterday and today. Flooding is getting worse outside the city. The have the military out to the west of the city.Dreaming of a hot, dry summer. There is no way the farmers are planting this spring.
 
I was just watching The National - terrible flooding out your way Kim, and even in the South. I'd be so devasted were it to happen to me. I'm on our company BB team this year. Just got that figured out Monday as someone from work can drive me to the games. I have to figure out how to get from the games to my car seeing as I'm on transit. Sounds like you had a good Mothers Day.

Yesterday I started one of the S90 dvds and probably 5 minutes into I hit eject. Just was not feeling the love. Instead I did Cindy Whitmarsh 10 days Results DVD. It's 30min interval circuits, one day concentrating on UB, the next LB. So UB yesterday and tonight was LB. I think I'll stick with that this week.

Took DS to soccer tonight. Now I have to tidy up the house b/4 the cleaner comes tomorrow.
 
Oh thank goodness for all the flood protection in place. If it wasn't for the floodway a good part of Winnipeg would be underwater. Unfortunately the areas outside the city don't have the same protection. It is terrible, I feel so bad for the people losing their homes. Many years it happens, different areas, in different years. I guess there is no way to flood proof the whole province.

The rotation called for Muscle Endurance but for some reason neither my dvd or my VHS copy would work so did High Reps instead.

Any update on the gym floor??
