~~~~ Coolers in May ~~~~
Morning Coolers
Had a nice dinner out last night and took it as a rest day too:p This cold has really settled in so taking it easy.:( With regard to the house, we're still waiting them out to get them to come down. We seem to be doing all the giving.
Laurie - are you just doing random STS workouts now? What is your plan next?
Morning Coolers,
Today I got in the workout I had intended to do last night. Just didn't have the energy to complete a workout, way to much running around for me yesterday. :rolleyes: I do want to get in Hiit Double Wave Pyramid tonight, but again I have to run youngest DD to her dance class.
Patricia, I should have said BFFM instead of that dang Jillian workout. LOL :eek: I am doing the STS workouts in an Undulating rotation. So I do the first week of each Meso then move onto the 2nd, etc. Sorry to hear about the house and you having to do all the giving. :( Take care of yourself with that cold.
Have a great day!
Did something weird in my foot. It's painful and swollen on the top, I think it's muscular:confused: So no workout yesterday or today. Icing and resting this evening as I was on my feet all day at work.
Hope your feeling better soon Patricia!
DD is getting a car?! She must be so excited!! So are you going to do the whole 3 months of STS?
Morning Coolers
My cold is still hanging in there, but I didn't manage to get in Lean #2 last night. It took out the rest of my energy though. I barely managed to stay awak for Lost, however, I slept through the whole night with out waking up. That is a record for me as I usually wake up every few hours. I'm going to do a light cardio tonight I think.
Laurie - fun fun fun on looking at cars. I say that with tongue in cheek b/c it can be just as stressful as buying a house:eek: Exciting but scary I'm sure for you to have your DD driving her own car. Just think though, less car pooling.:D
Kim - don't you hate when you injure yourself but don't know how you did it? Hope it gets better quick.
The Seller doesn't seem to want to come down $5 - $10k that we want to we will wait them out some more. I can't believe they would walk away over what really isn't a great deal of $$ in the long run. Especially since we know how much they paid for it originally. In 2 years they stand to make alot of $$ and to lose $10k of profit isn't much in the long run:rolleyes:
Afternoon Coolers,
Well I didn't get in the Hiit workout last night, so this morning was Hiit Double Wave Pyramid, and Tony's 1:1 Killer Abs. I absolutely LOVED the Hiit Pyramid workout, probably because she didn't use a step. LOL :eek: Of the three Hiit workouts, this one was my favorite.
Kim, Sorry to hear about your foot, I know you will take good care of yourself. Yes we are looking at a used car for the DD, and of course she wants it now. :rolleyes:
Patricia, Good thing that you can do the wait and see on the seller. Wonder if they are in a lot of debt, and need to get as much as they can. I will really enjoy not having to go to the school to pick up the girls, that is the best part about her getting her drivers liscense.
Have a great day!
Morning Coolers,
Workout this morning was Insanity Plyo Cardio Circuit, and it really did feel great. Not much going on around here except for a lot of rain. :( Both girls are suppose to have track meets tonight, but we will see. Usually the HS meet doesn't get cancelled unless there is lightening. :rolleyes:
Have a great day!
Funny, Laurie, my ds had his track meet today (I guess it's the time of year) and it was overcast all day but didn't rain. They did have it and goodness does he looked tired tonight! I enjoy the Double Wave workout as well, it's similar style to Insanity (no step) but not as hard.:)
Not much exciting here. Super busy work days and super lazy evenings this week:eek: My foot is feeling better and I've enjoyed the break but 4 days of not working out is enough. Tomorrow I'll get going on the last 5 workouts of the March rotation. Haven't decided what to do after that.
Patricia Maybe one more weekend of not selling will bring down the price on the house. Let's hope! Hope you're feeling better soon! When does baseball start?
DS has his annual appointment at the Children's Hospital eye clinic tomorrow, often takes half a day. :( Be glad to have that over. At least it was a good excuse to say no to work as they were bugging me to work Friday. Tomorrow is supposed to go to 20Celsius! This weekend will be gardening, trying to get the backyard looking nice for putting on the market.
MY TWO FAVOURITE THINGS CATHE AND DISNEY!!!!
Under the Ask Cathe forum, Feedback on the Texas roadtrip, they mention they are looking at a family Cathe roadtrip in the summer of 2011 to Disney!!!!!
Just when I thought I wouldn't be back to Florida for a while! This might get me back there:D:D
My cold is still hanging in there but I did a light step w/o on Wed. night - Cathe's LIS and last night Lean Circuit #3. Will try another light cardio tonight I think.
Tomorrow is our 1st BB practice - weather looks promising, plus we have a showing booked during that period so good timing!
Kim - I was hoping to have the house sold b/4 they could see how terrible our lawn is!:eek: Oh well it is what it is. I DO NOT have a green thumb!
Laurie - I've been too scared to try the pryamid Hiit.
I've started reading BFFM and it looks like I should be doing cardio 4-5 days / week. With doing splits it's hard to get that much cardio in I find. I'm feeling stronger from CLX but no lost inches and this could be because I've been doing less cardio. I do not feel ready for summer at all and am terrified to try on my summer clothes:eek: I want to finish up the next 3 weeks of CLX though but try and get more intense cardio in.
Morning Coolers,
This morning was Barry's Bootcamp 5 Day Academy treadmill cardio with Nadia, and Ab Circuit No Equipment Abs. The tm cardio on this one was the easiest so far. I still have not tried the one with Barry yet, it has been to long for me to remember what that one was like. :rolleyes:
Neither girl had a meet last night. They tried to shorten her meet, so they didn't select her. :confused: The oldests meet was postponed until today, which is probably better, because it is suppose to be very nice today. DH is going out of town until tomorrow evening, so I really have my own time tonight. The youngest will probably be watching TV or playing with her I-Touch (she bought herself :D).
Kim, Hope all goes well with you DS's appointment. Glad that foot of yours if feeling better. So while our family is having fun at Disney, are we working out? LOL :D
Patricia, I don't have a green thumb either, so our landscaping can get to be a little neglected at times. :eek: I really have more important things to do than make my yard look as perfect as our neighbors. :rolleyes: I think that the Pyramid one is on par with all the others as far as intensity. It really is fun! LOL :D Have a great time at BB practice, have you been getting that arm limbered up? That was always the part of my body that hurt the most after practice. Never got my arm used to all the throwing. LOL
Have a great day!
SNM replied to my question about where the Disney trip would be. They said the summer of 2011 most likely will be Florida although there is a Disney resort opening in Hawaii soon that they are also looking at. There are thinking about Disney California as a later possiblity.
So I guess it's back to Florida!:):D I would be more willing to spend money on Florida as we can make it more of a family trip. Cheaper flights down than to New Jersey. We wanted to go back to Universal sometime to see Harry Potter which opens this summer. I wouldn't usually chose to go to Florida in the summer but I guess they're thinking of kids being on summer holidays.
I spent 2.5 hours digging up the garden. I figure that's my exercise for today because I was exhausted after. I got a sunburn on my lower back as I guess I was bent over most of the time:rolleyes:
So does BFFM suggest that much cardio for everyone? Maybe you should get Insanity and we can do it together after you finish CLX;);) Any house hunting for you this week?
YEAH, we bought a house:p The Seller's Agent contacted us this afternoon asking if we would put in another offer, that her homeowners were willing to talk. So we submitted one a little lower then what I was willing to go up to earlier this week and they ACCEPTED just right now. So waiting on the paperwork to come back that we have to sign tonight and fax back. Means I'll be running down to work in my p.j.'s to use the fax machine! But I'm on cloud nine:D This is the one that I really wanted.
We had intended to go down on Sunday to look at more houses, but now we will go down and do the house inspection instead.
Hopefully then the good news will keep flowing. We had a showing this evening and another one tomorrow so maybe this is the weekend it all comes together:)
No, no, no Kim - no desire to try Insanity:eek::eek::p:p BBC is on board after this as it should work in well with Baseball plus I'm away now on weekends at the cottage. But I was thinking about getting up early (I know groan) and do some light cardio.
My Moms contacting me - we're just getting set-up on web cams this week so gotta go.
Oh Patricia, I hope it all works out. This is the last house that you shared pictures of??!! Let us know!!
Busy weekend for us. The weekends go by so fast! Friday I spent the morning at Children's Hospital with ds and the afternoon doing the garden. By the evening I was so tired that I just read/watch tv while DH and ds went to the opening game of baseball.
Saturday was tons more yardwork. I got the whole garden in! I planted beets, carrots, peas, lettuce, and onion. Just waiting for the tomato and cucumber plants that I ordered from a fundraiser. We took up the whole patio and relevelled it. Replaced the shed door as a baseball had gone though it:rolleyes::rolleyes:. Got the camper ready to go the cottage next weekend. Then came in and cleaned out dd's closet and took stuff to charity.
Then it was off to piano lessons. Saturday night we went to a dinner theatre production of Grease for my niece's 11th birthday. Then afterwards my sister was having the birthday girl, and my dd and 2 friends spend the night at the hotel where the dinner theatre is located. They got the suite done up as the Titanic:rolleyes: The hotel also has waterslides. I was going to stay overnight and help my sister but she seem to have the 4 girls under control so came home at 11 pm. Had a hard time sleeping because of my sunburn from gardening.:rolleyes: Got up early this morning and took my ds to do a 5k race with his grandma. I should have run with them but I hadn't signed up because I thought I would stay at the birthday party. DS finished 3.1 miles/5 km in 25:11 and his grandma (my mom) finished one minute later. I'm glad I didn't run with them because they're fast.:cool: We're waiting for the race results but I'm thinking that they both came in first in their age categories. DS in the under 14 and my mom in the 65-69 category.:D:D:D I'm very proud of them both.
After lunch ds and I decided to go for a 1.5 hour bike ride and now I"m recovering. DH is going on a business trip this week so I'm a single parent for a few days.
Exercise wise, I confess that I have not done a structured workout in a week!! First my foot was sore and then the last 3 days I've been cycling, gardening etc. I had a few days left in the March rotation but workouts that I'm not super crazy about so don't know if I'll finish it off. I'm thinking of starting up with Insanity again as I never finished that rotation. I'll start something tomorrow.
I'm wearing open-toed shoes. FINALLY the warm weather has arrived:D:D Sent DS to JK in shorts today too! Considering I was shovelling snow last weekend this is a big deal for me:p:D
Busy day yesterday. Up and on the road by 7am to inspect our new house and it passed!:):) So just need to finalize the banking this week. Yep - this is the house you like Kim.
We also visited with my BIL who just got home from Afganistan (sp??). He is an electrician and worked for the last 4 mos there as a civilian so quite an experience for him. He gave DS an official army ball cap but he doesn't want it so I'm wearing it! Maybe it'll help me go through Customs quicker do you think?:D
I was able to get in Lean Circuit #1 last night - bis/tris. Some sort of cardio tonight. My cold is almost over with thankfully.
Kim - Wow that was a jam packed weekend. The hotel stay sounds like fun for the kids too. LOL about the sunburn. When we visited with BIL, he was in the backyard in the hot tub to DH and DS got in. DH is paying for it now with a major sunburn. Don't ask me why DS didn't get one??? My fastest time at 5K I think was around the 27-28min mark. I can't believe the time your Mom got!!! I want to be her when I'm her age:p:D
I was telling DH I wanted to put in a sports flooring in the new house for my workout room. The basement is completely unfinished. At the project we're at, he built a gym so today he went to the subtrade who installed the gym floor and he has extra material so sounds like we can get a good gym floor at cost. It's a rolled out vinyl of some fashion, that was imported from England. Between this and the homeowners left out some refreshments and treats for us to eat while we inspected the house and I saw they have the exact same dishes as me, I feel this house was just meant to be:D
Morning Coolers,
First of all Congrats Patricia on getting the home that you wanted. :cool:
We had such wonderful weather this weekend, so spent a lot of time outdoors. No sunburn thought, because it still was a bit chilly. ;) Anyway on Friday I had my evening free, so I did 10 Min. Solutions Knockout Body. On Saturday was 4DS Kickboxing,Tae Bo Focus: Abs & Glutes, and in the evening did the W1M3 Shoulders, Biceps & Triceps workout. Sunday was a 30 min run (probably not as fast as Kim's mom. :D), and Kathy Smith's Functionally Fit Lower Body Firming. This morning was MTV Power Yoga with Kristin McGee. Sounds like a lot of workouts, but most of it was under 30 min. each. :eek:
Kim, I don't know about Florida in the summer, I can't stand Wisconsin in the summer somtimes. LOL Sorry to hear that your back was exposed to those sun rays! OUCH! Busy weekend for you, and sure sounds like your DD had a great time at the b'day party. Congrats to your Mom and DS on the run times they had.
BFFM suggest the cardio doesn't have to be any longer than 30-45 min, so doing a that amount of cardio isn't so bad. He also says that your weight workout shouldn't be long and drawn out. In other words nothing longer than 60 min. If I was to suggest workouts for the splits that he suggest, I would go for some of the Gym Style premixes. That is what I will be doing after this STS round. That way your weight workouts are around 30 min., and then you can get in a 30 min. cardio workout.
Patricia, So glad that the inspection went well, so now you just need to sell your house. LOL about using the hat to go through customs. Probably would work. LOL :D Oh now I'm totally envious about the flooring you will get for the basement. You will be jumping like Cathe before you know it. :eek:
Have a great day!
CONGRATS!!!:D:D:D
I'm going to go back and have another look at those pictures! When is your possession date??
So Laurie, I did the Insanity Fit Test last night and Cardio Circuit tonight. I'm not committing to the whole 8 weeks but we'll see. Enjoyed those two workouts. Also did a long bike ride with ds yesterday afternoon. Those are quite mish-mashes of workouts you did over the weekend. Lots of variety so no boredom!
What a change in weather Patricia! It's beautiful here! Hot and sunny, hopefully it lasts through the holiday weekend! Will you go to the cottage for the holiday?
My mom has always been a fast runner, I keep waiting for the day that she slows down and I can keep up:rolleyes: Don't know if it will ever happen but I gave a grandson that can keep up with her.
Pictures of my two runners.
Great Pics Kim and I see that your temps are in the high 20's - I think winter is finally over:p:p Lets see, closing date is July 23rd. They wouldn't go any earlier but since we haven't sold yet I don't mind. I just didn't want to move over any longweekend (plus Cathe's RT is the following weekend) DS's 5yr b.d. is July 5th and I want to have his 1st b.d. party with his friends b/4 we move.
Signed DS up for t-ball as it starts next week and he should get in 3/4 of a season. He has been asking about it and practicing. I did your favourite step w/o last night Kim - Imax 2 - and COMPLETED it:D I've only done that a few times:p Lean Circuit 2 on board tonight. I have a physical tomorrow and donating blood so not sure what I can fit in tomorrow.
Laurie - I like your recommendations of the GS premixes and 1/2hr cardio. I'm going to keep that in mind after BBC. Maybe we all do a rotation like this together???
