~~~~ Coolers in January 2011 ~~~
Thinking of you this a.m. Kim. Take a book b/c I think there is lots of down time!:( That's great you'll have 2 weeks to make the move. Will you do it all yourselves then and not need movers?
Home with DS as he still has a cold. He seems better today. If no fever then I'll send him to school tomorrow.
Off to get in Disc 6 - legs.
Morning Ladies,
Kim, Hope your day goes well. ;) Will take a peak at the pics after I'm done posting, bet they look great. That is wonderful that you have a couple of weeks between the two closings.
Patricia, Glad that your ds is getting better. I don't enjoy CCC either, and I think it has a lot to do with the core portions. I'm just not coordinated enough for some of those moves. :eek: Overall it is a lot like Insanity as far as intensity, and maybe a little more impact. I don't have a foam roller, I'm thinking this has something to do with the cold weather and old age. My mom has arthritis, so that may be part of it to.
Last night I got in Disc 10 Chest, Shoulders and Biceps. That one really moves along. :eek: This morning I did Insanity Core Cardio & Balance. Still need to get in an ab workout, and was thinking of doing Insanity Cardio Recovery also. May change my mind when I get home. ;)
Have a wonderful day!
Survived the first day! It actually was very interesting although somewhat emotional. It really is a lot like Law & Order. The other jurors all seem really nice and good to work with. Now that I'm over the first day jitters, I think it might be a unique experience.
Got home much later than usual and really didn't feel like working out! DH and I did do LBB but I don't think the 30 min tm run is happening.
Patricia, we did hire movers just do all the big stuff especially since we're taking the appliances and of course the tm and dining room table, stuff like that. DH has 10 days off so he plans to rent a u-haul and do all the small stuff himself.
Morning Coolers,
Yesterday was Insanity Cardio Recovery and Ab Circuit Med Ball Abs. This morning was Kenpo Cardio+, the knee was a little stiff this morning, this cold weather is probably the culprit! Dog got a really short walk this morning! :D
Kim, So glad that you had a good first day. You probably will find that you are more tired after these type of days that you usually are.
Have a great day!
Good to hear your 1st day went OK Kim:) I wonder if you will have lots of down time during the day? I just ask b/c I know the laws of justice turn REALLY slow:eek:
I had laser hair removal done on my underarms last night. Just a bit PAINFUL but looking forward to the results. I may not get my cardio in tonight as I have a tentative appt to go back this evening for the bikini line. If not I'll be having it done Sunday. Trying to get ready for the summer and cottage living where I should be spending more time in my bathing suit instead of in work clothes:p;):D
Laurie - I keep forgetting to sub in P90x for cardio but you've reminded me I should try Kenpo on my next KB day. I think I forget about those DVDs b/c they're not lined up in cases the way all the others are.
Anyhow, busy at work after missing 1.5days this week so gotta go.
Quite the emotional rollercoaster in the courtroom today:( I'm glad it's the weekend, I think it's going to be a long (but interesting) few weeks.
We do have quite a bit of downtime Patricia, but except for lunch we are locked in a small jury room. Not that we have presented with a fair amount of evidence we are starting to use that time to go over things.
Patricia, is laser hair removal permanent??
Workouts for today included
Athletic Step
30 mins on tm (catching up from yesterday)
MMA Kickboxing
Okay maybe a bit of stress relief happening here:p
The court days are longer than my work days and then I have to go over to MIL's to get the kids so the days have been long. Still super cold here (-40's with wc) and I just never seem to feel warm except when working out.
Evening Coolers
Lets see, after a nice lie in today, got in Step Moves after breakfast. A light workout, especially when you stand there trying to figure out what to do with your feet:D Then spent the day looking at flooring, lighting and painting. Have a hard time choosing a paint colour. Just back from dinner at BIL's.
Not sure what's on the agenda for tomorrow.
Didn't work out Friday as I got my bikini area lasered. Not nearly as painful as the underarms:)
Kim - Yes, its permanent but you need several treatements inorder to get at all the growth cycles. But the 1st treatment apparently is the "worst" as it has the most hair. My aesthetician says it's addictive and I can see why. To never have to shave or wax again! Its a bit pricey though but worth it I think. Yikes, thats a lot of cardio in one day but good for you for having a stress releaser. I'm surprised with the longer days. Don't wear your self out keeping up.:(
Sure enjoyed my rest day yesterday! Today is the start of week 4 (jan rotation), the plan is for Intensity. I've lost a few lbs with all this cardio in the Jan rotation.
Lazy day here. Went to Lowes as I've never been. Looked at bathroom vanities and more paint chips. Had to buy a b.day gift for a 8yr old girl. The one I picked out was a "boy" toy according to DS so had to put it back on the shelf. I have no idea what girls play with. I never played with dolls. Did you know the LEGO is all geared towards boys:confused: DH had a better idea what to buy her then I did:cool:
Just did Disc 7 - Ch/Bi/Sh.
Kim - great on the weight loss. I thought just getting back to normal I would lose those holiday pounds BUT I've still been indulging:p
LOL on the girl toy, what did you end up with?
Lazy day for me yesterday. WHen it's so cold it's easy to hibernate, went and watched ds's hockey game last night, did INtensity besides that just lots of reading/tv/napping.
Have to be at the court early this morning so going to drop kids' off at MIL's and then she will take them to school. Then they'll take the bus to my sister's after so will be lots of driving today.
The plan is for LLB and 4DS KB cardio only tonight.
Morning Coolers,
Busy weekend, we had 6 teenage girls in the house Saturday evening, and I didn't sleep very well that night. Those girls are very noisy. :D I had to get up for church on Sunday, and was watching the football games on Sunday so no nap for this girl. Friday I did get my STS workout done, and Saturday was Ilaria's Bodystrike. Sunday was One on One Fountain of Youth. This morning I didn't workout, decided to get a little more sleep in. Will do my Disc 33 Shoulder, Bicep, Tricep workout when I get home. Do have some errands before I get home also.
Patricia, LOL about having to choose a girl gift. So have you decided what paint color you will get from all the paint chips that you have? I have not tried Step Moves yet, I know that I would be standing there just looking at the tv.
Kim, WTG on the weight you have lost, that is so great. Guess the additional cardio is what you needed.
Have a great day!
Evening Coolers
Well, the dreaded w/o is done - Hiit Pyramid:p Glad tonight was only a 1/2hr as I got a late start. DS has really been enjoying raisin bread for breakfast lately so I figured I should get the ole breadmake out and make it myself. DS had fun measuring and helping. Only one egg dropped broken on the counter:p and I didn't even get upset - good thing I still had 2 to spare:D
Laurie - well, we still can't decide on the paint colour. DH can't decide if he is just doing trim or if he'll add wainscotting (sp?). If he does then we'll go a darker colour on the top 1/2 of the wall. He doesn't have long to decide.... Sounds like you needed the Fountain of Youth after Sat. evening:D
Kim - busy day for for sure. DH picked out beads and such for making jewellery. Its scary he had a better idea then I did:D
Yesterday my brother went to the Skins Curling Tournament that I got him tickets for for Xmas. Its held at a casino. Did you know they don't make the ice??? They ship it in from out West. How the heck would they do that? All I could figure is a refrigerated tractor trailer and the sheets of ice are put on a rack like a bakers rack. Maybe my prairie girl might know the answer???
I told ds about the curling ice (he was watching the skins game) and we both think that's weird??? When there is a big bonspiel here, it's at the hockey rink. A casino, weird?
I can't believe that Ontario's weather has been the top story on the national new the last 2 nights, it's the same weather that the prairies has had for weeks but Toronto gets it and it's national news:rolleyes: Lots of eye rolling over that around here.
What a tiring weekend for you Laurie! Good for you for still getting your workouts in.
No court tomorrow, they didn't tell us why so I'm going in to work for the day. I probably could have stayed home and noone would have known but I'll go in and then if it happens again when I really need the day off for moving I won't feel so guilty. Going to be kind of hard to readjustment my thinking.
Lower Body Blast and 4DS kb cardio only done tonight.
Morning Coolers,
To many errands last night, so didn't have time for the weight workout. Will get that done tonight. This morning was Insanity Plyo Cardio Circuit.
Patricia, That is very strange on the ice, is curling ice that special. :D I always had fun with the girls helping me cook, and now they make things (mostly cookies). ;)
Kim, We go through that also with the New York area. One would think that NY only has bad weather, but then all the national news comes out of there. :rolleyes: Nice that you got a day off from the trial.
Have a great day!
Hey Coolers
Disc 8 - Back/Tris done. Spent more time tonight looking at paint chips and finally narrowed a few done to get samples of. We're starting a 6mo fitness weight loss challenge at work so I created a Check-in Forum on the net. Its free so we will see how it goes if people participate or not. I've set it up that you have to be a member to read anything.
Laurie - I guess when there is $$ involved the ice is important!:p
Kim - I hear ya on the news. It really wasn't that cold. Geez -20 is a regular day in North Bay:p and thats probably warm for you! Good for you going into work. I'm sure they will appreciate it.
IMAX 2 done which if of course my favourite workout of all time! It's fun because I don't have to concentrate on the choreography and my mind is free to think about other things. Only 3 more workouts in this rotation and in this house!
The house looks pretty much ready except for the downstairs bathroom vanity/sink, kitchen sink/garbureater (sp?) and a little painting touchup in the basement. I talked to the builders today and they are going to do the walk through early Monday am so I can go :D
Court doesn't start until after lunch tomorrow but I'm going to run some errands in the morning instead of going into work. Work knows and they're okay with it as my days at court are often really long and they're not very busy.
Laurie, I heard on the radio yesterday that Joe Biden was attending jury selection:) They also said the Obama had been called last year but was excused but that Biden was going to attend.
Patricia SO what colours are you thinking?? I was noticing that our new house looks very "neutral". Most things we picked were fairly conservative choices and neutral colours, will definitely have to do some painting once we're moved in. It'll be interesting to see how the weight loss challenge goes at work.
Morning Ladies,
Got my weight workout done last night. This morning was Jessica Smith's Look Better Naked :rolleyes: Metobolic workout. It was a 30 min. workout with a 5 min. warm-up and cool down, so the cardio portion is 20 min. I compare it to Insanity/Jillian's BFBM, but not as intense. It might even be like the cardio of Peak 10 as far as concept. I don't have Peak 10 so I can't compare. I liked the workout, so will keep it on my rotation schedule.
Patricia, Cool that you are doing that check-in. Hope you get a lot of people that are on the bandwagon. ;) They have group weight reduction programs here that started in January. The weight watcher's one didn't seem to be getting the attention that they needed. :(
Kim, I think Imax2 is a great workout too. Wonderful news on the house, and of course the amount of workouts that you have left to do in your current home. :D I'm doubtful that Joe is going to get picked! :eek: What a distraction that would be. :D
Have a great day!
Well finished 30 mins on the tm and High Reps. Had lots of time to workout as court was cancelled at the last minute. I'm sure curious as to what they are up too. I don't like this not knowing my schedule from hour to hour:rolleyes:, it's difficult for a obsessive planning type person. The plan is to be there tomorrow morning.
Well, got home early today so MMA KB is done in its entirely. (psst, sometimes I skip the abs):D
Kim - you're sounding chipper:D Great news that you can go on the inspection too! I think we've finally settled on maple flooring so DH is doing all white wainscotting and we're painting a soft yellow on top. The play room/toy room will have a natural cork floor. We're still choosing that colour. The powder room is going to have white marble floor, white vanity so I'm thinking a soft mauve. What did I tell you? I knew you would have time on your hands:D Way to go on the count down to w/os.
Laurie - that sounds like a nice less intense w/o if you can get past the name:D What's the music like? I've never heard of her.
I guess I better go and p/u DS from next door.
Sounds nice Patricia! I'll love to see pics when you're done.
Psst, I never skip the abs;)
Yes, the downtime has started after a very intense 2.5 days so we're been adjourned since Monday lunch, I wonder what is up?
Stopped by the house, and there was a lady cleaning, unfortunately she doesn't come with the house:(
DH is off work now for the rest of this week and next week so I don't have to stress about kid pick up anymore:D:D:D:D:D
