Cathlete
Hello Ladies.
So today was a total rest day. I considered running or doing yoga after dinner but then I remember that I had something else I had to do so that went out the window...probably all the better though! Now tmrw I can start a fresh week of work outs! What to do, what to do!?
Thank you all so much for listening to my PT blather and chiming in where you can. I really appreciate any and all input you can give.
I actually also just picked the brain of a fellow Cathlete (well she's probably more of a former Cathelete now but that's ok...) who has been a certed PT for 3 years and started right off with her own business! I was asking her opinnion on this WITS vs other certs issue I have. After hearing her opinnion on the issue I am even more convinced that I just need to go with the cert that I feel comfortable with initially and if that means obtaining an additional cert in the future for my job then so be it. If I don't get a cert I am comfortable with then there will be no job at all so I suppose it's kind of a no-brainer!!!
Diana:: Glad your back is on the mend. Maybe skip the back work in tmrw's work out just to be safe? ITA with you on the cost of that Lulu crap!
LOL Way too rich for my blood! Ofcourse, if I can get this PT thing off the ground I just might be able to justify a purchase of high end fitness wear at some point!
I buy cute work out wear but it's not expensive. I mainly shop at Target and Kohl's and sometimes TJ Maxx or Marshalls and even those places want too much $$ for some of their stuff in my opinnion! I usually buy with a coupon at Kohls but at Target, etc. I just stay away from the pricier items. Group fitness is a great part time job to have! If you are really interested, I say go for it!
ACE is a very well respected cert and perhaps I would need to get it one day but again, it's home study w/no hands on so it's fine as an added cert for me but it won't give the experience/confidence I need by itself. Ultimately I hope to make fitness a f/t job even if I have to work at a couple different places to do it and/or get the group cert as well. DH is the breadwinner in our house so for me it's not about bringing home big bucks but as a successful PT you can do pretty darned well from what I hear! Especially if it's your own business with minimal overhead costs! Having a f/t job for me is pretty much just about having a job (hopefully one I enjoy this time!) that brings in a little extra $$ simply b/c there is no reason for me to be at home all day and I don't wanna be! I'm starting to go stir crazy in this house!
I hated my last job but I was so grossly overpaid for what I did that I just couldn't leave!
In the future when we get outta this tiny house I would hope to be able to start up in business for myself at home. It's what my SIL does now and she loves it!
From what I gather the Cathlete I spoke to love it as well!
Lori:: There are lots of people like that-who can't sit still. I have the opposite problem in needing the butt glue remover all to often!
Between you and your mom your house must be spotless 24/7...even with 3 kids in it!!!!
Yes, we must look at the changes to come in our lives as exciting and a chance at new beginnings with new opportunities. A part of me is scared to death but I'm trying to ignore that part as much as possible! LOL
Laura:: Thank you so much for the encouragement and vote of confidence!!!!
See you all in the morning!
