Connecting IPOD to TV to play work outs...question

Hey.

Anyone know what the name of the cable is that I need to buy in order to play Cathe's downloaded work outs that are on my IPOD TOUCH through myTV?

Depends on your tv. There are two cables that you can get through Apple. The component (video is green, blue & red) or the composite (video is yellow).

Ok then I guess I need to check my tv for what color the inputs are before I buy? Sorry if this a stupid question but I tend to be technically challenged.

No problem. I have an older tv so I was pretty sure it would work. I bought without looking and lucked out that it worked. I have also used the cables when traveling. So far it has been wonderful to watch the downloads on tv.

We are going away next weekend and I want to bring my w/o's via my IPOD instead of dragging along my portable CD player or my LAPTOP. I just hope that my home tv and the tv in the hotel use the same cable. I don't want to have to buy 2.

Thank you SNM. I will definitely go through APPLE themselves. Lesson already learned as I bought one from another company and it did not work though I am not sure I even bought the right one. From what you say it probably would not have mattered anyway though. Anyway, then they tried giving me a hard time about returning it!
