Concert question...

I really loooove those "convenience" charges (per ticket) that cost twice as much as the gas to get to the box office (175 miles away) and back. :D :p

For ticketmaster I always just choose the e-tickets that don't have an extra charge for delivery.

I have also used www.stubhub.com to sell tickets that we could no longer use, but also to purchase tickets for an event.

Sometimes they are overpriced, but closer to the event you can usually find cheap tickets, since people want to sell them for any price, rather than eat the whole cost.

I don't really like ticketmaster either. I remember the days of waiting in line overnight to get tickets...that is a part of the whole experience!!!

Hilary Duff? Your fine! She will love it.

We have taken our son to two concerts. First one was Paul McCartney when he was 10 and the The Who when he was 12. He has been through the D.A.R.E. program at school so he knows all about the drug issues. There wasn't much. Actually someone did light up a pretty hefty joint in the box below our seats. Our son leaned back and made this hilarious face - like he had just had his face stuffed into dog poop. We told him that was pot and he said "Ick-Gross"!

Enjoy!!

Hilary Duff --- heck....no problem......from another "without kids" person. If I did have a 9 year old, I'd let them go to whatever concert they wanted to!! as long as I was with them. I used to hate when my parents thought I was into Devil worship cuz I listened to Black Sabbath and Led Zeppelin back in the day! I still like rock music today!

............and thus the reason I don't have kids!! LOL!

LOL brings back memories. My dad thought I was listening to satanic music once, you know...Vincent Price's narration from "Thriller" doesn't get any more satanic than that!

Shelley, I vote for Tool but only if you take me too. :)

Shelley - we actually took Michael to see Slipknot a couple of years ago. I figured what "language" they do use, it's not like you can make out ANY of the words anyway. Plus, we took him more recently to Beyonce but he was just so impatient about the long wait.

If you do take her to see Hillary Duff, take a picture of yourself in front of the billboard. The thought of YOU at a Hillary Duff concert is funny to me. Kind of like me at Beyonce. ;-) I did actually enjoy it, though.

Heck ....if we're voting....I vote for Buckcherry!! and I'll take her...cuz I love them!

I took my niece to her very first concert when she was about 13. She has an absentee Mom and I've been very close with my nieces. We like the same kind of music and the DH doesn't like to go to concerts any more, so my niece and I go to a lot of them together. We've seen the Chili Peppers a few times together and Buckcherry a few times. She's 21 now....but I'll never forget how excited she was the first concert I took her to! I'll never forget it.

and yes, my parents thought I was into Satan cuz of my music choices. I never knew that back then, but my Mom tells me that now! LOL!

I think it's cute she wants to see Hilary Duff. You should be "happy"! I think Hilary portrays a very "wholesome" image.

I don't know you well enough to comment on you being out of place at a Hilary Duff concert....but if that's what others say....must be true. I hope you can sit thru it relatively pain free! I guess your daughter's enjoyment will be enough to get you thru!!
