Cathlete
I am at the office now and I need help, please.
1) how do I connect Outlook Express. I did all the instructions but still can't email out.
2) Access. How do you ascend the dates so that the months come first? For example, I type in between 03/01/03 and 03/01/05. I'll get the dates for 03 and then the day but the year dates are not all group in the same year. I hope that make sense.

Sorry I am so tech challenenged

3) How do you get aol to "sent" mail without taking so long to do so?

Thanks, Annette

Annette,

#1 no clue, I think outlook express is junk and wouldn't use it. Try Mozilla's Thunderbird, it's made by the same people that make Firefox.

#2 I think the problem might be in the data entry. Is it possible to type the whole year instead of the 2 digit substitute. I tried to play with one of my databases and couldn't get it to not relate to the year in sorting. Maybe the database is confusing month and year. Access will use whatever format you enter the data in ie 2008-01-01 or 01-01-2008, so if you type in 01-05-08, it's going to have to guess.

#3 I don't understand the question. Are you asking about the time it takes a draft to show up in the sent mail folder after you send it? If you are using AOL'e email client, why do you need outlook express? AOLs web based email eliminates the need for outlook express, thunderbird or other email program.

Hi Dave,

1.We have Outlook Express at work.
2.AOL/Netscape takes for ever and a day to me to reply to someone, is a glitch or something. This is for my system at home. I can not cut/paste from one site to Hotmail account. I have 2 different accounts at home which drive me batty.

3. About Assess or Access, for example try to type in April 6, 2008? We have been playing around with different dates. We are using 2000. So this database was already in place.

Thanks, Annette

WE have Outlook Express Mircosoft.

How do I import/export my boss files from his computer to mine. Just two his calendar and address book.

Outlook express connection --- my best guess is if someone else's is working you'll need to copy all of their settings, I use a piece of paper and write them down. Windows is notoriously unfriendly trying to copy settings or registry items from one computer to another.

Access---Have you tried re-entering dates with whole year? I am running 2000 as well and found no quick way to express the format of dates

Actually you can cut and paste from AOL to Hotmail, you can have two sessions of internet explorer open (File > New Tab or New Window) you can be in AOL in one session and Hotmail in the other. Select the text you wish to copy, copy it, toggle to the other session and paste it, the "clipboard" that you are copying to is on YOUR computer.

Doesn't Outlook express have an Import and Export wizard under the file tab?
