Compressed rawhides in bulk?

I'm trying to find a good source for compressed rawhides for my dogs that I can buy in bulk. I did find a source, but they're made in China.... no thanks. I'd like some that are American made so I don't have to worry that I'll find out they baste them with lead paint after they've eaten several of them.

I order bulk rawhide from i-pets.com. you can get a 10lb box of rawhide for 22.50 plus shipping/handeling.

My vet does not recommend rawhide nor did my dog trainer. They both claim it is indigestible and can clog up the intestines. Both suggested beefhide which is digestible. Just passing on the information. My vet referred to how many dogs have had operations due to the ingestion of too much rawhide.

It's hard to find something for the dogs to chew on.

Deer and Elk antlers are a wonderful alternative! My dogs chew them in their natural state, but I know some dog owners who soak them in hot broth to add flavor.

My dogs are fed a raw diet so I feed raw edible bones- lamb femur, beef necks, lamb necks and marrow bones. They are messy, but you can train your dog to stay on a mat while chewing. It's not hard to train them to do.

My dogs got pretty bored with the antlers. Compressed rawhides are what they really love. I've never had a problem with them, other than the dogs stealing them from each other.
