Hello everybody!
I recently discovered my newest favorite Cathe workout. Surprisingly enough, it's just a very slight modification of Viper, which is on the first Cathe DVD I ever bought, Terminator. Here it is: do the whole workout, but skip the Cardio and Weights segments! I had avoided doing Viper for so long because of its length (something like 80 minutes, I think). I think the modified workout is still approximately one hour long, but I haven't timed it exactly. After doing the shortened Viper, I still feel like I've finished an extremely challenging workout in every way (high intensity cardio as well as weights). I know - it's not a very creative modification, but it's one of the best workout-related discoveries I've made in quite a while!
The completely unrelated thought I had is really a question: does anybody have any good yoga DVD recommendations? I'm asking this a little late, because I already ordered something from Amazon.com, but I guess I'd just like to find out if I made a good choice. I picked Bryan Kest's Power Yoga Complete Collection (3 workouts). I am somewhat of a beginner to yoga, but I used to do some Pilates a couple of years ago. I want to incorporate one yoga workout per week for stress relief and a completely different type of workout, since I currently only have Cathe's DVDs. I will be going back to college soon and will have much less time every day to work out, not to mention the added stress of school plus two jobs. I'm hoping to do yoga on Mondays and various Cathe workouts the rest of the week. Unfortunately, I will only be able to work out on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, so I will have to figure out a super-challenging Cathe rotation for the other days.
Anyway, thanks to all of you for your help/ideas, and I hope my Viper suggestion will be useful, too!
