Commit to get fit & lean for September!!

Hey girls,

I just finished Cardio Axe = 30 min, Tummy Tuck = 20min and 10 min Foam Roller.

Amelia - Oh no:( Take it easy!

I will be back later. Need to shower.

'Evening!
Belinda, those titles are amusing - bum bum! How is it different than some other workouts. Your son is cracking the whip. Around here it is always me trying to get rid of things.
Amelia, how is your back now? Doesn't it bug you that such a little thing can cause it pain? My friend says she uses inserts from the drug store - the least expensive brand. Did you work off your aggravation?
Kristin, it is hard to believe it is eleven years already. Amazing how it has changed our lives in so many ways. How was the concert? I'm so envious.
Lori, do you ever take a rest day? Hope things went well for your dh today. It is good to switch things around.
Deb, were you singing Bon Jovi like Kristin? Hope you get a good night's rest before tomorrow. Thinking of visiting ds in a couple of weeks. I like to go to the city then visit him 'cause he'll pay for dinner! Pay back.
Have a wicked cold. Worked out yesterday - a total body barre wo, but nothing today. I'm in need of a plunger for my head. A friend passed away and tomorrow is the service, so I hope I'm better to go.

Hi,

Our flight was delayed further didn't get to bed until 1AM but slept alittle late so not feeling too bad. I did standing part of LBB. Tomorrow I have the start of a big set-up for Fuzzy Nation (doggies) slippers in Jersey City.

My younger son had the flu when we were away & was surprised that my older son was worried about him & came home to see if he needed anything (that is big for him:eek:).

Lori - I hope DH did well on the test. I'm sure when DH graduates you'll be partying big time:) I guess I'm so used to NY/NJ airports TG I pack some snacks . . . you must need to all the time.

Belinda - BBL is fun & effective too! I bought a foam roller & still haven't used it. I'm guessing I can find some info on you-tube.

Amelia - Why does it seem we always get hurt doing housework & not workouts. DS is doing well keeping my fingers crossed. He calls an awful lot.

Kristin - I wonder if 9/11 has so much meaning/impact for us because we lived through it. I always remember the stories my Aunts would tell of the Great Depression & dancing on the tables when they knew their brother was coming home from the war.

Cookie - No singing;) I hope you feel better seems like lots of people are getting sick. Sorry about your friend. I like the paying for dinner part!

Goodnight:)

Cookie -

Good Morning:)

Maybe I shouldn't have complained about the baby waking at 6:48....cause today it was 5:44 and then I couldn't get back to sleep. Normally I will nurse him back to sleep but I just lay there with my eyes open. I was thinking we would go for a run this afternoon but a nap might be in order!

Yesterday's workout was 20 min on the tm,30/30, crossfire fitness blast and tabata, GS standing leg work and GS back. I'm not sure what I will do today. I was thinking a run outside but the baby is up early enough for me to get my cardio in here. I may do shoulders, bics and abs again. I also received three workouts in the mail yesterday....maybe I will try one of those.

DH called last night (while I was out for a walk with his mother!) to tell me that he was two marks away from passing his exam. He was upset, I wasnt thrilled and here I am trying not to let her know that something is wrong. There were six of them who have to take it over. He kept telling me to not worry about it and that the support is there for him. His instructors have set up study classes for him/them and they said they will make sure he passes. But I still can't relax. I won't until he does the re write and passes it. I know he was only one question away...but still. It just seems like I always have crap on my mind. I hate that I have turned this into something about "me" but I can't help it. I should feel bad for him b/c he's under a lot of pressure/stress and he's also away from us and I do. But when things happen I guess I just think about the what ifs. All of our eggs are in the one basket here.He tells me not to worry and that everything will be ok but I think I've just heard it to many times over the years. Unless someone can look into their glass ball and see the future, then I can't relax.

Belinda** sounds like you guys have been tackling some stuff! I love that feeling. I meant to get at DS's room yesterday but that didn't get done. His room is pretty tidy actually. I just need to straighten up a few things.

Cookie** Saturday was a rest day actually. Or was it Sunday.....yeah, Sunday. I don't take planned rest days b/c something will usually get in the way somewhere along the way so i just wait for one. Hope you make it to your friends service.

Ameila** how are you feeling today? That sucks!

Kristin** looking at me starting rumors about you being pregnant...I had a little chuckle...hehehehe! :p I would imagine everything is an adjustment but I'm sure it won't take you long. I think getting up at 5 would be the biggest adjustment for me. I need to start going to bed earlier but it's hard with the time difference between DH and I. If I want to talk to him I have to stay up late.

Deb** glad you made it home safe and sound!

I think that's about it. Almost time for coffee #2!

Lori:)

'Morning!
Still have cold and didn't work out. Would have stayed home but folks haven't submitted paperwork on one of my grants, so I have to go get it from them. Getting ready to go into a school and thought I'd see if Lori had done a couple of her workouts yet, so I could claim one.
Lori, your poor dh! He must feel really bad. I'm sure you're frustrated with it, especially since you're dealing with his decision and don't have control of the outcome.
Deb, glad you made it home. Hope you get to have an early evening today. How sweet your elder ds was concerned about the younger one. Sometimes they just surprise us.
Okay, I parked at the far end of the lot, so at least I will get in more steps. Will have lots of walking today, so that may end up being my wo.
Cookie

Quick check in:

Butt Bible L1 W2 and Brazil Butt lift Bum Bum is done! I have DOMS in my butt/legs since Monday:eek:

I will be back later.

Hi everyone. I just finished Cardio and Weights tonight. I had to take a rest day yesterday because last night was Meet the Teacher Night for DS school. His teacher seems really nice and he really likes her. However, I am disheartened by the fact that he had to take "baseline" tests already and she had to teach them how to "bubble" their answers. He is in second grade. I don't want him to learn how to bubble in and take tests. I want him to learn how to think and read without worrying what the best answer is for a passage. Ugh. . .

Belinda- the titles of your workouts crack me up lately, lol. I'm impressed you pushed through those butt workouts with existing DOMs. Nice job!

Amelia- I've never done that premix. How is it?

Lori- It took me a minute to realize what caused Amelia to think I was pregnant, lol. After reading our past comments to each other, it was pretty clear, lol.

Cookie- the concert was so amazing. I've been listening to nothing but Madonna since, lol.

Deb- it seems like when the day comes every year, I get the same sick feeling in my stomach. My principal reads a poem over the speakers during homeroom, and I always get teary-eyed.

Okay, I am beat! BB tomorrow!

Kristin

Hi,

Today wasn't too bad for the set-up except made me very anxious to see Christmas trees:rolleyes: I couldn't workout because I have a colonoscopy set-up for tomorrow morning. The prep is awful & I am so hungry. The Dr. said I should have had this test 10 years ago because of a family history of polps but I thought since they were benign it didn't matter:confused:

Lori - I can see your frustration you are a big part of it because there is a lot on you with handling all the home stuff. It looks like your working off the stress with your workouts though:)

Belinda - I like your mix of Butt bible & BBL:)

Amelia - Great job getting your workout in.

Kristin - What does "bubble" in your answers mean? I thought about you when I saw those Christmas trees today. Not sure why they can't do the set-up & add the Christmas decorations in November:confused:

Goodnight:)

Good Morning

I feel better today then I did yesterday morning. Actually I felt better after I ran yesterday. Running always helps me with whatever is in my mind. And when I take the baby I don't play music so I really get to think. I feel bad for the way I acted...I wasn't mean to him but I didn't say much of anything and that doesn't help him at all. As long as I know he is giving it his all that's all I can really do. Whatever wil be, will be.

I'm not sure what today's workout will be. Yesterday I did Amy bentos drop sets, shoul, bics, tris and abs. The ab work wasnt hard at all. And then I ran outside in the afternoon for 10k. I don't know what I will do today. It's going to be another sunny day so another run outside would be nice but I am invited to a friends house for dinner and I offered to make dessert, which I need to ingredients for. I also thought about taking the baby to get weighed again....can't believe it's Thursday again!

Ameila** nice workout

Belinda** who comes up with these names? Lol. Bum,bum. :)

Kristin** DS's teacher took his toy away yesterday....I'm not surprised and she didn't give it back. I have a feeling she forgot. From what I can gather he was playing with it on the mat, which was probably story time. There's no doubt in my mind that she had every right to take it from him! I'm hoping he will settle in soon.

Deb** oh my....hopefully I willbe packing up when it's time to put up the tree:eek: We usually have our tree up the first part of dec, not this year if all goes as planned and I hope it does!

Ok...I will bbl to report my workout...whatever it may be!

Lori:)

'Morning!
Belinda, your poor bum bum! Are you stretching a lot with all those workouts?
Lori, working out always clears my mind also. If you don't eat some of that dessert, your dh won't be able to recognize you. You must be burning off so many calories, soon you'll be invisible.
Amelia, is your back doing better? I keep forgetting about that wo, but remember liking it.
Kristin, test-taking is like a major subject area! I was at work til 8 last evening with teachers who are trying to figure out how to fit in everything. Plus some classes have over 32 children in them - in kindergarten and other elementary grades. They're worried about trying to meet the needs of so many.
Deb, bubbling is the term for filling in circles on multiple-choice tests. Yes, all grades and ages now have to do it, plus they have to learn how to take assessments on line as well. It is so different than it was just three years ago. Are you saying they are already setting up Christmas displays?!!! In September?
Decided to just try to ignore my cold. Did a light dance workout and my sinuses vibrated along.

Morning girls,

I went for a walk this morning. Today is a rest day, since there isn't any weight workout this week on the BBL rotation, I will do some UB:eek: I also will not do any high impact cardio for a few days/weeks. My PF is still bordering me, I can't hardly walk in the evening:confused: I think I need to lighten up a little.

I have my DD/DS go through every box in the garage(that we been storing for a few years!!). I am tired moving those boxes around. I am trying to down size. We are going through EVERY BOX in the garage. I already went through all mine a few month ago. Cleaned out my clothet yesterday, still have way to much??? I need to stop buying cloth, lol.

Cookie - my poor bum bum are crying, lol! Those kinda workouts get my legs good, in a good way. He guy does a lot of stretching. Sorry you are not feeling better ((HUGS)) The BBL and Butt Bible, are really not different than some other workouts, they just target those areas a little more. Lots of lunges, squats and floor work. Lots of Butts and gutts without weights. Lots of leg lifts. Tummy Tuck (ab workout) got me good, I usually don't get DOmS in my lower abs. Have some for the last 2 days.

Lori - working out always makes me feel better too. Glad it helped you yesterday. You didn't like AB Drop Sets? It's getting cooler here too, love the nice breeze in the mornings. I didn't come up with the name bum bum. Leanardo (the guy in the dvds said it's the Brazilian name for butt. Bum Bum is his signature workout, works your legs. Your poor DH! Sorry you guys have to go through so much. Hang in there!

Debbie - since I started the Butt Bible a wekl agp, I didn't wanted to stop doing them. I need to work my Bum Bum, loll. Chrismas trees, really? Yes, you can find workouts on the foam roller on youtube. I heard instead laying the roller on the floor, you can use it on the wall instead. Takes some of the pressure of when lay on it. I will try that next time.

Kirstin - I really like Brazil Butt Lift and the Butt Bible. Those workouts are diffrent from anything I have ever done. I usually do heavy weights, all I am doing is using my bodyweight. Change is good, right?

Amelia - still keeping up with your workouts, good for you. How is your PF? Any better? What's going on at work?

I need to mop my floor today and work a little more on the garage. I will be back later.

Hey everyone. I just finished LICh. I am feeling very tired these days. I know I will get sued to working out at night in a few weeks. DH has to go away for work at the end of the month. He is going for five days. It will be hard to get my workouts in then, so I am aiming to do longer workouts and then that week keep them all under an hour until he comes back.

Belinda- I am a clothes-hoarder myself, lol. Sorry to hear about your PF. Are these workouts dance-like? I cannot do dance-like workouts. Remember zumba? Lol.

Cookie- we had a meeting on APPR again today. The Superintendent told us that the presentation she was showing us could be found on engageny and someone asked, what is that? Seriously. . . some people have their heads so far up the wazoo.. . they have no clue what is coming.

Lori- I meant to say this yesterday and forgot as I was typing about the preggo comments, if he missed by two then he is almost there. A little extra studying and staying calm will get him there. Keep the faith!

Deb- Cookie answered the bubbling in question. It just doesn't sit right with me that my 2nd grader has to learn this and waste time on this. I think education is clearly headed in the wrong direction in this country. The test obsession is out of hand.

Waving hello to Amelia!

Kristin

Hi,

Well I was down 5lbs. from prepping for the test but that is not the way I want to lose weight plus I'm sure after I ate it's all back. They did find a polp & sent it to the lab bummed about that since I eat pretty healthy. On the positive I can workout tomorrow.

Lori - Will you be selling your house or is there a chance you'll be back in a few years?

Belinda - I would have never thought about using the roller on the wall sounds like a great idea.

Cookie - Do you think the testing is across the US?

Kristin - I personally think the testing just makes kids so nervous about test taking. I can still remember the tension even at home around standard test time.

Amelia - Are you busy at work? DS brought his gf's dog over when we were on vacation & I'm finding toys all around.

Goodnight:)

'Morning!
Belinda, cleaning out is a constant battle over here. When the older boys moved out, they left so much stuff behind! I'm trying to get rid of some of it but really would like them to come home and assist so I don't offend them. But then again, they probably don't care if they left it. I've gotten rid of so much now my dh has more clothes than me! Glad you have lots of stretches in your workouts.
Lori, I hadn't thought of you possibly having to pack up. How is ds's adjustment to school coming along?
Amelia, how your pf doing? When I was in a drugstore last night, I saw there were a lot of inserts - must be many folks are having problems.
Kristin, you're right - so many folks have no idea. This summer I did a weeklong workshop 75 people many different districts and many were confusing Common Core with Teaching Standards. I think part of it is just too many things at one time. Hope you don't push yourself to get in all your wo your body is probably tired from the stress of school starting. You wouldn't want to get sick with your dh going away.
Deb, bubbling is now across the country. Yes, and weeks of it since it is not just for standardized testing, but for pre and post-assessing. Have you recovered from your traveling?
Did a barre wo again this morning. An order of bulbs arrived yesterday, and boy does it look like I have my work cut out for me the next few weekends!

Good Morning:)

The baby didn't get up until just after 7. I know that doesn't seem like much of a sleep in but it sure beats before 6 or 7!

Yesterday I did the chest and back work of drop sets. I didn't think it was that hard. I was hoping I'd love it. She did drop sets of pushups, the most being 12 and she had to drop to her toes for it:confused:. I thought she was doing a modification cause it was going to be tougher...but nope. Thought that was odd! Then I ran in the afternoon, 10.5 k. I also did a lot of abs before chest and back. I'm not sure what I will do today. It's pretty windy out there so I don't think I'm gonns push the stroller in that again!

Belinda** I have to much crap too. I'm thinking about gathering it all up and having a yard sale. But that's a lot of work for a couple hundred bucks! My mom wants me to have one. I should set it up and let her run the show:eek:. My plan is to get at the garage this weekend. DH had it straightened away before he left but I keep poking things in there! Shouldn't take to long to reorganize it s bit.

Kristin** I would imagine by the time Saturday rolls around you are ready for a nice sleep in! Getting up that early 5 days in a row isnt fun. Thanks for being so positive. He feels good about the retake. He figures he got it in the bag but it will be nerve wrecking waiting for his results! Then he has his drive the same day. Hoping Monday will be a great day!

Cookie** lol...I'm not invisible yet! Ha! I did have some dessert and then I picked at it again before I went to bed:eek:. Trust me I eat my cals but I don't stop moving either. We will probably see a difference in each other cause he's working out like a mad man...he has too

Deb** we will def be selling our house. We have no idea where we will be! It's kind of exciting!

Alright...I should get up and do something productive!

Lori:)

Morning ladies,

Today is Cardio Axe and High & Tight.

Lori - we having a garage sale in 2 weeks. Sent your mom over here, lol. Hate doing garage sales.

Cookie - we getting rid of a lot of stuff in the garage:eek: I been trying to do it for years, now they both here. It's much easier for them to tell me if they like to keep it or not. I am suprised at how much, they get rid off, which is good.

Debbie - I usually use the roller on the floors, but sometimes it hurts since you use your entire body weight.

Kirstin - I am a clothes-hoarder myself:eek: Aleisa makes me get rid of clothes:p One of the workouts are dance-like, but easy to follow. Not like Zumba.

Hi Amelia!

I will be back later.

TGIF!!!!! I just finished HSC. My eating really needs to clean up here. I had two slices of pizza for lunch and boneless buffalo wings for dinner, lol. Then I did HSC. Kind of defeats the purpose, huh?

I am soooooo tired. I want to watch a movie tonight, but I know I am passing out around 9:30, lol.

Belinda- I hate doing garage sales, but you make an easy buck, that's for sure :).

Lori- I just read what you said to Belinda about yard sales after I called it an easy buck, lol. I guess it can be a pain.

Cookie- I think the confusion lies with the state throwing everything but the kitchen sink at us all at once. It is absurd. They should have implemented one thing at a time. I am overwhelmed with memorizing all the acronyms, lol. SLO, NYSCCLS, APPR, WTF, lol.

Deb- I'm sure the results will be fine.

BB tomorrow!

Kristin

Hi,

It was a long day at work today (4 malls:(). I don't want to see another store for at least 2 days;) I wanted to take yoga class but didn't have the time so did Yogamax when I came home.

Cookie - Every year I think about planting bulbs but never get around to it. I love the way they pop in the spring.

Lori - So today when I was setting a display some woman comes up behind me to show me what's in her jogging stroller well it wasn't babies it was 2 fluffy white dogs:eek: Actually I really think the stroller is designed for dogs! Well when the baby gets to old you could always put the dogs in the stroller LOL.

Belinda - My dream would be to clean out my clothes closet & put outfits together so I can grab & go . . . someday. So were you good & only window shop?

Kristin - Your eating wasn't bad with all the workouts & stress you easily burn it off. I overheard someone today saying they are going to see Madonna at Atlantic City this weekend. I heard she's coming out with dance DVDs.

Amelia - What have you been up to?

Goodnight:)
