Well, we still have power. We made it through the night. It was very scary though. The winds were so strong, they were howling, as if in a horror movie. We heard things banging and limbs falling all night it seemed. We all slept in the living room together because we have two big old trees by our bedrooms, and DH and I were afraid they might come down on that side of the house. Luckily, they stayed up. My stockade fence is a different story. We actually put stockade fence over our chainlink fence for privacy in our backyard. Well, the storm took the stockade and the chainlink down together, no joke. I called the insurance company, but not sure how much they will give us. We have a $500 deductible . At least we are all safe, right.

I did do my workout today, on my tv, no need for the laptop with the power on. I did MM. Cannot remember the last time I did this workout. I felt it all over, lol. Maybe I will sub in MM one time instead of STS TB next month. . . not sure. It went pretty fast for a longer workout. My legs and arms are still quivering, lol.

Also got the calls DS and I both do not have school tomorrow. I am glad that school is closed tomorrow. Middle school kids are out of control on Halloween. Better to have their parents deal with them, lol. Now we can go trick-or-treating without having to rush around after work. That's a relief.

The South shore of the island is destroyed right now. Water up to Montauk Highway. Fires from gas that the firemen could not get to because of the water levels. . . it was crazy over there. I haven't heard anything from my friends on that side. I hope they made it out okay.

Anyway. . .

Lori- where is the warehouse from which you ordered from? If it is from the East coast, that could be the problem. There is devastation from Maryland on up. . . NYC is still not up- and running. A lot of bridges and roadways are still closed to the public.

Deb- glad you made it out okay too. Is your power still out. 85% of Long Island is without power right now. I don't know how I lucked out. My parents might be coming over later. they don't have power and are waiting for a generator that my dad bought online to get delivered.

I did Kickmax at my in- laws today. We are still without power. My SILs family who had no power were also there. She went to the foodstore & brought a ton of junk food, which I managed to avoid. They are sleeping over we are staying home tonight one DS is staying with them so he can watch TV. I brought over about 10 bags of food to put in their freezer & refrigerator.

I can't believe how many trees were pulled out by their roots. We were lucky the trees fell down in the woods. My in-laws lost a bunch of trees, one on their pool & one took part of a fence down. My Mom's good too just no power too! At Seaside Heights (where The Jersey Shore is filmed) all the rides was washed in the ocean. Most of the shores boardwalks are gone too. It is so sad.

Waiting to see which roads/stores are open tomorrow before I head to work.

Lori - I heard lots of shipments are delayed because of weather but maybe you should check to make sure it's no backordered. So were you wearing your Lulu with your heels LOL. Your dress is going to be too big with all the w/o's you are doing

Belinda - my nephew goes to West Virginia university and is getting lots of snow tonight, hopefully you will be spared.

Kristen - Damn your lucky, off from work & electric. Those new workouts came in handy! Sorry about your fence. Looks like the beaches were destroyed in NY/NJ

Morning girls,

I am glad everyone is fine! Kirstin and I had the same weather, it sounds like lots of wind/rain. Glad we didn't had to eat all that can food feel bad for everyone that got hit bad by the storm.

This week is my recovery week, I decited to take it easy. Not feeling so hot the last few days...my nose is stuffed, headaches and my food is still bodering me

Today is Aleisa's Birthday, she is 27 years old we will take off to DC this afternoon to pick up her Sprinkels cup cakes and do some shopping and get some lunch. Busy day.

Happy Halloween!

So, it's Halloween and I am off. We are going to go trick-or-treating later. I have to say I am happy not to have to run around today. Normally, I would have raced to DS school after work to catch him in the "parade" at school and then raced to pick up my other DS and get everything done to go trick-or-treating. It is nice to just take it easy.

Found out that my district is closed for the rest of the week. I know you will all think I am crazy, but I am not happy about it. For one, we will probably have to make up the days, which means Easter break. I was hoping to go away then, but that is not going to be a possibility. Oh well, it'll save us money, I guess. I know I shouldn't complain. So many people lost their homes and have so much damge to deal with. It is very sad. We were lucky. Found out my insurance does not cover the fence. My deductible is $8900 for damage done by hurricanes. . . no joke. I was 26 when I bought this house. I'm sure I agreed to it to get a cheaper rate. At the time, I was not thinking about hurricanes . It won't cost all that much to replace though.

Anyway. .. I had scheduled today as a rest day due to it being Halloween. Now that I am off though, I might do Yoga or a TTM premix. . . we shall see. It might just remain a rest day, lol.

Belinda- Happy birthday to Alesia. Sprinle cupcakes sound delicious! I am thinking there will be a lot of peanut butter cups in my future, lol. Have fun!

Deb- four Costcos in DH's area are closed today. He has very little work to do and he is doing it at home. No point going out when everyone is closed. Some locations do not have power and do not expect to get power until the weekend.

Belinda, hope yesterday's birthday celebration went well and that you are feeling better. Is it a cold? My nose is stuffy today.
Kristin, the whole week off?!! The damage all around you is incredible. In the late 80s we had an ice storm in October and schools were closed for at least a week due to all the downed lines, and that meant no spring break. Oh, people were not happy. That's a high deductible!
Amelia, how are you doing?
Lori, did you find your dress yet? Was it hiding out down here?
Deb, glad to hear you and yours are alright. My youngest son called last night. I was getting rather concerned about him. He's the type who thinks nothing is a big deal, so i figured he didn't get any food, flashlights or batteries in, and I was right. He and his roommates have some candles and junk food so it's like camping he says. Except for the fact that he has to try to find a way to work.
Did CF yesterday - what a great workout. Makes me more excited for her new ones.
Ok, taking my tissues with me to do lower body.

Good Morning

I am hiding in the bathroom where no one can find me!

Yesterday's workout was ctx shoul,bics,tris and abs. Then I took the baby for a 10 k run. Tuesdays workout was GS back, GS standing leg work and another 10 k run. Today I'm thinking about doing a spin DVD instead of running. My parents are here and I like to run when they are but if I run to much my knee feels funny.

My dress was shipped yesterday. I think they ship from stores b/c I've placed two orders and they have all been shipped from different locations. One order is coming in 3 different shipments. Delivery guy is gonna think I have issues....which I do!

Kristin** glad to hear you a ok. We just get snow storms around here. They can be pretty nasty but there is never damage to be fixed....just lots of snow to be cleaned up. That's crappy about having to make up for lost days..and your probably right! But whatever will be, will be!

Deb** good girl staying away from the junk! I can't say I would have done the same.

Belinda** enjoy your mother daughter time! And your rest week!

Cookie** I love cf too. It's one of my favs. I also really enjoy AB. I've done that one a lot.

Ok....I will bbl to report my workout. I don't have any plans today. My parents are here for the night because my sister leaves tomorrow. Hey! I get to see my husband this month!!!!! Nov 29th we leave!!!!
