Commit to get FIT & LEAN for October!!

'Morning!
Belinda, I learned so much from dog training. Honestly, I tell folks that I think it is beneficial not only to dog owners, but to anyone who wants to be a parent or work with students! Not that I'm advocating putting choke collars on people but more the meaning what you say part. Alesia must have had some great birthday parties growing up.
Amelia, how is your foot doing?
Lori, my dh used to travel a lot when the kids were younger and we would live in a motel if it was less than 3 months. Definitely not easy but you do what you have to.
Kristin, yes Halloween sounds like it will be a mess this year. Driving Monday and Tuesday does not sound like fun. Enjoy the museum and good luck on the subway.
Deb, yes it is the ds who lives in Florida who is moving. I was hoping he would have a chance to come home before going but no. Perhaps I should suggest it due to my mom. Well, last weekend I broke down and stopped at the shelter and came home with a dog. They told me he was 8 but when got home opened up his vet records and he's ten. Yesterday the my vet said he's probably older and told me she has an old horse who is need of a home, can she bring him by? We're going to put a sign up saying The Leftovers. All the pets here now have been left by someone else! Oh well, he's a sweet dog, but old, and I spent $$$ on pills for them all so they better be healthy for a while.

Good morning,

I will do D12 legs today. My foot is feeling it from yesterday's workout:confused:

Cookie - we been lerning a lot from dog training, should have gone a long time ago.Aww....that's wonderful you got a new dog from the selter. He found a good home. Yes, Aleisa had some great birthday parties growing up and as an adult. LOL!

Debbie - where did you find a leg workout on the internet? Sounds interresting. LOL, no the doc/nurses didn't dress up that day. Alesia was born in a military hospital.

Lori - we must posted at the same time, lol.. Hope you sell your house soon. Fingers crossed:) Good job keeping up with your workouts, girl. ROFLMAO, on lulu instead of the hair do! You are right about that one!!! I don't think I ever spent that much on my hair...?

Kirstin - I guess even CSS was a little to much for my foot. What's up with that? Stay safe with that hurricane heading your way. Glad you like TTM, that one is a lot of fun.

What are your plans this weekend? I have no plans yet:D

I will be back later. Have a great day/workout.

Good Morning:)

I went to bed earlier last night and I needed the sleep. I'm not sure what time the baby woke during the night...maybe 3'ish and I just rocked him back to sleep. I've stopped nursing for the most part. I think I only nursed him once yesterday.

I have training soon and after that I will get my own workout in. Im thinking UB and cardio. I hope my dress arrives today! Then I'll know if I need to kick my workouts up a knotch:rolleyes::p...just kidding! If its to small, it will be going back and then I'll be faced with trying to find something else to wear!

Belinda** well your lulu would have lasted a lot longer then your hair do:eek:...hehe! I ordered some cloths yesterday...and not lulu either. I have another outfit for DH's graduation cause it's broken up through out the day. The dinner is the dressy part, the graduation, not so much. I also ordered a couple of coats and some tops. :)

Cookie** you want my dog too?! I will ship him to you for free:p. He's a good dog, he just barks to much and it's usually at nothing. Drives me nuts! I swear he sees ghost.

I have no plans for this weekend really. A friend and her fam were suppose to be coming over for dinner tonight but she remembered that her girls have a Halloween party at 6 so we rescheduled for tomorrow night.

Bbl!
Lori:)

Hi,

I took a yoga class today, ran to the store (seemed like most of NJ was there) LOL hurricane Sandy is on the way & worked for a few hours. They are saying this storm is really serious one report said if your power goes out it could be for 7 to 10 days:eek: I was caught up with the frenzy in the store & started throwing things in the cart and of course everyone had bottled water in there too! After last year's storms I stocked up on flashlights, just need to dig them out:eek: Someone told me the rest of the people were at Home Depot & there were 4 fender benders in the parking lot.

Belinda - I hope you & your family are safe it looks like the storm is going to hit you too:( I found the exercises on a blog I will get that name for you.

Lori - You'll have to keep our thread going if we all don't have electric;) Actually we'll have to run outside if that's the case too! So what does your dresses look like? Can you believe the time is almost here.

Cookie - Your vet had me cracking up with the horse comment. I loved dog training too. We couldn't pass one of the classes when they had us throw a tennis ball & I needed to keep the dog sitting well that's how we exercised our dog plus she walked around with a tennis ball in her mouth so her sitting still was not going to happen.

Kristin - Are you close to the water? I was wondering today if they are going to announce school closings today. Be safe.

Amelia - Not sure if you are being hit by Sandy too?

Goodnight:)

Good Morning:)

Yesterday I did ps and hr bics and tris in the a.m and Kari Anderson's abs. I planned on doing cardio last night but I talked myself out of it. I have training at 11 and I would like to get my workout in before that...I'm not sure what I'm going to do. The baby will be awake so I can't do I circuit. I need to get him situated and see if he'll stay in his swing for a little while, although he's getting to big and hangs out over the edge!

DS has gymnastics and I'm having friends over for dinner later. That's the only plans I have today. I'm willing to bet today will fly by...just the way I like it!

Deb** I think the storm is suppose to hit fl as well? My sister and brother are still there. I think they leave to come back tomorrow. When you spoke about the fender benders I thought about the grinch movie where everyone is going crazy cause christmas is coming! Lol. All the hoos were going crazy!

I thought I added a link to my dress before but maybe I didn't. I have a nice pair of burgendy shoes coming to wear with it b/c the boys are wearing burgendy shirts. I also ordered another outfit for the graduation part of it, which isn't as formal as the dinner:
Le Château: Dress Shop 878

I will bbl to report my workout!

Lori:)

Hallo girls,

I did D12 legs yesterday. Never got around to post about it.

Lori - love the dress:D hope you post some pic:eek: You are so funny....of course, lulu would have lasted longer:p one of those day's I will buy me same lulu:p have fun with your friends tonight.

Debbie - thank you! I hope you & your family are safe too!! Bought water and can food yesterday. DH and I stood infront of the food cans, had no idea what to get? DH got chips and crackers:eek: LOL! We don't eat can foods:confused: nothing looked good:confused: we will donate all those cans to the food bank. I stocked up on dog food and I have enough candles:) I hope the power doesn't go out:eek:

Waving Hallo the rest of the gang.

Hi everyone. Sorry for not checking in yesterday. I was so exhausted from the field trip to the city, that I did not work out and fell asleep at around 7, no joke. DH had to wake me up to say good night to the boys.

Today I brought DS to a Halloween party. He had fun. I was a bit bored, lol. Then we ran to the store to get supplies for Hurricane Sandy which was sooo much fun . I got a call from the electric utility company here and it was a message saying that we might have widespread outages lasting a week or so. WHAT?!?! Glad I don't pay an astronomical amount for electricity (sarcasm). Well, it will be one way to save money this holiday season lol.

Lori- the dress is beautiful. It will be here before you know it. Time is flying or me.

Belinda- I don't eat canned foods either . I hope there is no need to, lol. Cookies and crackers sound much more appetizing ;)

Deb-DH is working today and he said Costco is madhouse. I can imagine.

Cookie- sorry to hear about your mom. I missed that somehow when I read your earlier posts. I think it is great that you adopt dogs that have been abandoned. They need homes and love too.

Okay, off to shower.

Kristin

Hi,

Today I did HR. I found the 3 flashlights I bought which came with batteries. Wouldn't you know it one "D" battery was missing:rolleyes: that's what I get for not opening the bag till the last minute! DH's parents are in FL so will check their house for a spare battery. We're going out to dinner tonight, need to jump in the shower.

Belinda - Too funny about the canned goods, great idea to donate. I'm planning on cooking from my spare freezer in case the electric goes out & all the food goes bad. The site where I found the w/o's are flaviliciousfitness.com (strange name) she sells alot of stuff but I haven't tried but I do like checking out her blog for w/o's & receipes.

Lori - Awesome dress! I always wanted to ask you, one of our malls has a Le Chateau store in it & they said they were Canadian great stuff in there wondered if you heard of it. Your sister & brother may have delays coming back:( Have fun at your dinnner party.

Kristin - I could just imagine how tired you were watching all those kids:) Costco must be a madhouse you must be well stocked since you have an in;)

Cookie - We're watching out inlaws dog & it's been fun but our house isn't doggie proof anymore:D What are you up to this weekend?

Amelia - You must be busy at the bakery with Halloween just around the corner.

Enjoy the weekend:)

Good Morning:)

The baby is up to early....esp when he was up between 3-4 last night:confused:. I feel better already now that I've had my coffee.

I had my friend and her family in for dinner last night. And I invited my inlaws. My mil seemed to be really down yesterday, combo of everything I would imagine....so I thought that they should be around people and not looking at each other . I also convinced my friend to let her girls sleepover for the night. She was reluctant cause she thought it was to much for me but once I mentioned it to the girls, there was no going back b/c they wouldn't have left without a fuss. They were good though...I never had to speak to them once.

Yesterday my workout was 20 mins run and CF. I also went to the mall and got me some new boots and 3 pairs of skinnys. I wanted a pair of colored jeans for so long and dd kept telling me I was to old:rolleyes:. When I was in the store, the manager who is 20 yrs older then me, was strutting around with a pair of leopard print boots on and that's when I decided that this chick can wear purple jeans! I'm not sure what my workout will be today. I would love to run outside but it's another wet, foggy day....that doesn't really bother me as long as its warm. And I should start with this weeks weight workouts!

Belinda** I'm trying to sell you some lulu! Maybe you shouldn't b/c once you start, there's no going back! Or maybe it's just me!

Kristin** I was tired just reading about your field trip! I can't imagine being in charge of that many kids. Hopefully you won't be hit to hard by the storm....geez!

Deb** Le chateau does have a lot of nice things...dresses in particular. And then men's cloths is kind of border line for DH. I don't think he thinks it's meant for the straight male:confused:. I've ordered a couple of things from the outlet sight this week. Let's see what it fits like!

Alright...I'll bbl!

Lori:)

Hi ladies. So Long Island is bracing for this hurricane. I wonder if I will have work tomorrow. Schools are already closing, but my district is always the last to close. It is also on the South Shore though, so that side is supposed to get hit hard. I am happy that I am in the center, not near the water and on elevated land. We are preparing for power outages. I am charging this laptop and using it only for workouts if need be, lol. My car also has an outlet so I can charge it there, and my phone too. I don't even know why I still have a landline.

I never did tell you my workout yesterday. It was CSS and yoga abs. Today I did CF plus abs from the bonus abs. That workout was killer. I think I love them both, but TTM a bit more. I love the music in TTM! Anyway, I made up my November rotation. Every week I will be doing CF and TTM, plus their tabata premixes with the pyramids, GS, and upper body workouts from 4 DS, plus STS TB here and there. I am expecting to lean out and get cut plus I think it will be good for me to prep for XTRAIN!!!! I threw in other cardio for fun from the LIS and other favs.

Here it is week one:
STS TB
TTM
CF Low Impact Tabata (with warm up and abs) and GS CT
CF
GS BSB
LIC
(one day rest to be thrown in somewhere that week)

Week two:
AT
TTM
PUB
CSS
PLB
CF plus bonus abs
(one day rest thrown in)

Week three:
STS TB
LIS SG
TTM S/G tabata 4DS Chest, tris and shoulders
AB 1-1o singles premix, plus 4DS back adn biceps
CF
AT
(one day of rest thrown in )

Week four:
MMA Kickbox
TTM
PUB
CSS
PLB plus CF Low Impact Tabata and abs premix
CF
Yoga Relax

What do you think?

Lori- the trip is so stressful, but the students always have a good time and some of them never get to go to the museum or experience anything like it, so it is worth it. What makes it so stressful is we take the train to Penn Station, then the SUBWAY :eek::eek:to the museum. The subway part is obviously where I feel my heart in my throat. Then the trip back is the same. SUBWAY, then train, then bus back to school. It is exhausting, lol. Good for you finally buying the colored jeans! High fives!

Deb- nice job on HR. We are stocked with flashlights, batteries, food and candles. If the winds pick up tonight, we will all sleep in the living room. The boys always feel safer there. . . so do I, lol.

Okay, off to shower while I can!

Kristin

Hi,

I didn't get a workout in today was busy trying to get all my laundry done & computer work in case we lose electric:( I went to Trader Joe's and their shelves were surprisingly stocked up. Not really worried about the electric or food more worried that a tree will hit the house or windows will break because of high winds:confused:

Crossing my fingers that everyone is safe.

Belinda - I hope all is well with you, the storm is probably hitting you now.

Lori - I love the colored denim, purple sounds awesome, I bought a pair or cobalt blue & love them. I was thinking your MIL would take it hard that you guys are moving. Great workout!

Kristin - Schools around here are closed Mon. & Tues. so maybe you'll get an extra day too! I'm about to plug in my electronics too, crazy that just a few years ago we didn't have this option. DS said the same thing about charging his phone in the car I didn't even think of that. Great rotation you created it must be more fun than planning a lesson;)

Waves hi to Amelia & Cookie:)

Good Morning:)

I would have given anything to stay in bed today. My bed was so nice and warm....oh well..once I'm up and have my coffee, I seem to forget:eek:

Today's workout is going to be GS back, then cardio, then legs. I should be able to get it all in. I don't know what kind of cardio I will do. Maybe spinning....we shall see. Whatever I am in the mood for.

I need to turn the news on and see what this storm is all about. When is it suppose to hit? My sister was suppose to arrive in the city last night and then here today (it's a 3.5 hr drive) but her flight was cancelled. We've had nothing but rain and fog for days and in the city, it's even worse. I don't know if she will get in today or not.

Kristin** I use to make it a habit to do AB once a week. That one always works up a sweat. Cf is always tougher if I do a small run before hand. I didn't it as it is at my moms over the summer and it wasn't that tough but when I preexhaust myself it kills me...I'm toast after the tabatas! I hate the first seg of the cardio/weights though...the scissor, scissor, squat, jump....I know my jumps are pathetic! I bet your snooz'in 'er up right now!!!

Deb** I was just thinking....what will I wear with my purple jeans:eek: now I need a black pair of boots:p. I go through spurts where I don't shop, and I don't enjoy shopping but then I get it in my head that I need a few things and I go a little nuts. I have my dress coming, shoes to go with it and I ordered 2 pairs of boots and another pair of shoes, then I went back to le chateau site and ordered another outfit and more besides and then sat I bought another pair of boots and 3 pairs of jeans:eek:. At least it's not lulu...I should get credit there and if I get the guilts I can always just send some of it back, might not fit anyway.

Alright....I will bbl to report my workout!

Lori:)

'Morning!
Belinda, I just saw on a map that western VA and area might get two feet of snow!
Kristin, bet you are sleeping! My district also closed but just a few minutes ago. Your rotation looks amazing.
Amelia, are you busy with Halloween and Day of the Day baking?
Lori, I'll have to check out the dress link. I'm pre-exhausted just reading your workouts.
Deb, hope you found the battery. This storm sounds pretty crazy. None of the current Leftovers would pass the ball test! Yesterday the old lab, the new one i brought home, came down to the basement to check on me while I was working out, only then he couldn't get back up the steps. My dh and I had to carry him up. Talk about a workout!
Hope everyone is safe with the storm. Take care,
Cookie

Hi,

My goal is to do Afterburn after lunch today.

I've been busy vacuuming & using every electric device because I can LOL. DH is thinking I'm crazy & he may not be too far off:eek:

My Mom lives south near the shore but several miles from the water, worried about her. DH tried to talk her into letting us pick her up but she doesn't want to leave. She has really good neighbors & they look out for her. I will just go & pick her up if her electric goes out.

Lori - I heard flights might be delayed for a few days. They moved all the airplanes from the NYC/NJ area so they don't get damaged. It's a good thing you don't work in stores like me. I go through periods of buying & returning. I'm at the point if I don't love, love it I won't keep it. There is a lulu store about 20 min. away and I have yet to go:confused: Nordroms (store/website) has a brand called Zella that is a knockoff of Lulu the designer used to work for Lulu & I have a few of those pieces still pricey though.

Cookie - I think the lab became tired watching you workout last time she does that:) I found a battery. It's nice to have an unexpected day off.

Kristin - It's so scary that NYC is a ghost town. Wondering how Jessica is doing she's close to the water. How is it going?

Belinda - I hope you are safe.

BBL

Hey girls,

Hope you all staying safe during the storm. We have heavy rain and the wind is picking up:confused:

Cookie - I hope we don't get all that snow:( it gotting cold since last night.

Kirstin - stay safe! Thinking about your.

Debbie - glad your mom has good neighbors. I know you still gonna worry about her.

Lori - have fun with your workout today. I think I will take a rest day today, not sure what this weather here in WV is doing?

I will try to be back tomorrow.

Hey everyone. Power is still on :). Got a call this morning that school is closed tomorrow as well. Just finished S&G. Figured it would be a good idea to do cardio as it is easier to follow dvd on my laptop that is strength training than a lot of movement. Anyway. . . the winds are really picking up. Big branches are falling. I hope my two trees stay up. They are blowing hard out there.

Deb- Jessica's section was evacuated, she lives by the South Street Seaport. She is staying at a friend's apartment. They are flooded over by her part of the city already. FDR is closed.

Belinda- we will be okay. Prepared for the worst. My fridge is on the highest setting to keep the food from spoiling if the power goes out. Plenty of water, flashlights and candles too.

Cookie- too funny about the dog checking you out, only then not able to make it back up. Stay safe!

Lori- CF nearly killed me, lol, that's without a workout beforehand. The tabatas are what kill me. TTM is harder though, and I like it even more, lol.

Okay, I'm going to shower before we lose power, lol. The lights have flickered a few times already.

Kristin

The power went off in the middle of cooking dinner managed to finish with flashlights & ate by candlelight. The winds are picking up & small branches are hitting our house. We heard a couple of thuds but it's probably trees in the woods. TG it's not too cold no heat but will pile on the blankets. I tried to call my Mom but her power must be out. It will be easier in the morning:)

BBT

Belinda - Glad you are safe heard you may get snow.

Kristin - Happy you, your family & Jessica are safe. Half of our neighborhood has electric but it's never my half.

Goodnight:)

Good Morning:)

Hope you gals are staying safe!!! I'm guessing the storm should be over with by now? I watched a little on the news just now but I think it was clips from yesterday.

My sister finally made it home from fl. Her flight was delayed for over a day. Apparently our weather is what's keeping that storm away from us. We are having a lot of fog and rain....I think this might be day 5 now .

Well...how confusing is this? Last night I decided to see if I could figure out where the he** my dress is b/c I ordered it over a week ago. I couldn't find any info on it! I checked my email....I checked my deleted messages....I checked my cc....nothing! The only thing I did find was on the website, in my account there was an order placed on the 20th and it still says "open" , not "shipped". I don't think they charge me until my items are actually shipped and I guess I can't find an email b/c it hasn't been shipped. I hope they have it in stock! I'll be so ticked if they dont b/c then I'm right back to square one.

I had 2 pairs of shoes and 2 pairs of boots come yesterday. 2 pairs fit me and the other 2 I was unsure about. I tried them on after I worked out though so maybe my feet were swollen? Cause when I tried them on later they didn't feel to bad. The ones for DH's graduation are high though....I wore them around the house yesterday just to get use to them so my feet dont hate me the night of....or my nose when I land flat on my face! with no dress on btw.....did I mention its not shipped!

Belinda** did you take a rest day after? My legs are a little sore from yesterday.

Kristin** well...2 days off!? Aren't you the lucky gal;). We don't have anymore holidays here until remembrance day but we are going to be gone for 5 days when we go for DH's graduation....which was one month from yesterday!!! I can't believe we are down to the final days!

Deb** I saw something the other day online about lulu in winners. Not sure if that's a American chain too but they sell brand name stuff for cheap. I'm not sure how they would have gotten their hands on lulu merchandise. I use to buy workout cloths in winners all the time but I could never find outfits. And when I thought I did the top or bottoms would be just a slightly different shade. Hope you guys are staying dry!!

Cookie** lol...my workout was that bad yesterday.....could always be worse remember:eek:

Yesterday's workout was GS back, 20 mins run, 30/30 and GS legs standing work. I went heavier this time. I used 15 lbs db's for the lunges and 25 lbs db's for the squats. I used my barbell first but there was a weird clicking going on in my right hip so I went to db's and put my feet closer together and it went away. I'm not sure what I will do today but the baby is up early enough that when DS goes to school, he should be going for his nap and I can't start in!

Bbl
