Hey everyone. Well, we got snow here yesterday. At least 4 inches. I still went to picket at the Senator's office, and I froze my ass off, lol. I was still shivering and my feet were still cold an hour after I got home. Needless to say, I ended up taking a rest day yesterday. There is another rally in NYC at the Governor's offices there on Saturday. I am trying to see if I can make it to that one.
Anyway, STS M! D9 completed. My legs are wobbly right now.
Took my boys to a friend's son's first birthday party. She had a DJ there and they played games and danced. The boys had a good time, and should sleep well tonight, lol.
Belinda- It was funny. There were cops at the protest. Like parents and teachers are going to get violent, lol. It was pretty funny.
Deb- It feels good to stand up against this nonsense, I will tell you that. I am standing up not only for myself and my job and my dignity, but I am also standing up for my own two boys' and all of my students, especially those with IEP's (special education students). It is enough already. Do you know that all those hispanic kids that were allowed in and sent to some of our Long Island school districts are required to take the tests? and in English? and it will count for their teachers' evaluations? It would be a joke if it was not the truth.
BBL,
Kristin
