Commit to get Fit & Lean for March 2014

Hi everyone. I just finished my workout, which was Xtrain D1, Chest, back and shoulders. I did my own mix of ab exercises at the end. I had the second part of my peer coaching training today. My house is a mess and I don't feel like cleaning. We are going out to dinner with my brother and his wife, so that is my excuse for putting it off until tomorrow. Anyway. . . Friday was an unplanned rest day. I just didn't have it in me to do an actual workout. I walked the dog for 40 minutes and then played with him in the yard, running and throwing, that counts for something, right?

Deb- very impressive with the crow move in yoga. I am still trying to do levitation lifts, lol. I am going to try to do one of Cathe's yoga dvds at least once a week this month. I think I need it.

Cookie- it is in addition to being in the classroom. I am going to be a peer coach and offer professional development mini-courses (an hour and a half each) for my peers. It should be interesting. I hope people show up, lol. What was the discussion on? Testing? Did he give any hint that he is changing his mind on all this testing?

Vicki- I often think about going up in weight, and then talk myself out of it,. I definitely should give it a try though, especially with legs. Our leg muscles are strong!

Amelia- our spring break is in two weeks. I am hoping these two weeks go by fast! ;) Nice workouts!

Belinda- great job!

Waving hello to Kelly and Melissa!

Hi,

I didn't want to take a rest day today but with vacation a week away so much to do. We do plan to go to the gym a few times when we are on vacation at least.

We are getting so much rain here . . . guessing someone of you are too:)

Belinda - I received my College order it was about 4 dvds for about $20 not bad but most of my order must have been cancelled. I received 2 Brooke Burke, 10 min. butt lift & a dvd called Results. Great job with your workouts!

Kristin - Dog walking & playing does count for a workout & it's fun too!! How is your brother & wife doing? My nephew who just was married is October is having so many problems with his marriage and they even lived together several years before, it's so sad.

Amelia - I loved your picture, it looks like it took a lot of work to complete. It's nice that you took the week off for the kids spring break. At least around here it's hard to believe Spring & April are next week:eek:

Cookie - Ugh, on the wine keeping you up but at times it does happen. Hopefully you catch up on zzz's this weekend. The instructor said it's more about getting over the fear instead of upper body strength:confused: but I need to work at being able to hold the pose for more than a second.

Vicki - I prefer strength training over cardio anyday. In fact I haven't been doing strength training as much and I can see a difference in my body and not in a good way. I haven't done Amy Bento in a long time but a lot of Cathe's do her workouts and they are good.

Waves hi to Melissa & Kelly

Goodnight:)

Morning!
Belinda, just wondering if you got Fe Fit? Saw over on VF a lot of folks raving about it. Do you have any blooms coming up? I was so excited to see tulips yesterday. Of course, they were in pots for sale at yhe food coop - but still!
Amelia, you have so many talents! How doo you find acrylic to work with as opposed to other types of paints? Also, do you have rewards planned for reaching goals?
Kristen, no news on tests. Hard to believe they start this week! Setting up schedules for the proctoring is a pain. Dog fitness counts.
Kelly, how are you doing?
Vicky, happy birthday! Did you celebrate more this weekend? I watched the Union/Providence and N. Dakota/Ferris State games, plus Florida v Dayton. My eyes are glazed over!
Deb, I can understand the fear more than upper body. I would definitely be scared to try it. Wonder if the commitment part of marriage is hard for those who have lived together to get used to. When you live together you still think you can change the other or leave, and with marriage you either accept it or it won't work. Are you going to Florida next week?
Yesterday did a video borrowed from library - it was okay. Got my hr up and then did Cathe's stretch 2. Today is 22 miles. Hoping the weather holds out. Had planned to get 8.4 in yesterday but weather did not cooperate, and hockey games were calling. After curriculum writing, I was brain dead anyway.

Good morning,

Sorry for not checking in yesterday. My son and his fiancé are visiting us:D
I finished the P90X3, 13 week Classic rotation:eek: I will take a week recovery from P90X3, than jump right into P90X3 Lean;)

Cookie - yesterday I just got my second order from CV! I have more than enough workout dvd's:p I need to go through all my workout DVD's first, before I buy anymore. Are you buying it? I hope eventually my tulips will show, we been having lots of rain the last few day's:mad: Your steps are impressive! WOW!

Debbie -yesterday I received my last order from CV too. I got all my dvd's. I have the 10 MS Butt Lift. You will like that one;) I also have the Results with Cindy Whitmarch and Tracy Steahle. Still in shrink wrap:D I got yesterday: 10 Minute Solution Slim & Sculpt Pilates, Dance Hiit by Jazzercise and Supermodel Series Butt & Thights with andrea Orbeck. Been eying this on for a while. On Amazon and Mary that one is almost $29! I got it from CV for $11:p Thanks…..I did my homework on the 21 Day Fix program. No need to buy the workout dvd's just for the eating program. Everything is on the web, lol!

Vicki - I have that one! I think you like Amy Benot:p Have fun!

Amelia - love the picture. Nicely done. Good job keeping up with your workouts. My sinus are ok. I can't do the rinse, when I had surgery they messed up my sinus. I have like a pocket in my sinus, it hold the water from the rinse…which makes my sinus worst. I get a nasty infection from it. Every time I rinse, I have a sinus/ear infection from hell. Hope you feel better.

Kirstin - you are doing so great with your dog training/walks. I should walk my dogs, but I am a wimp in this weather. My dogs don't like to go outside in the rain. Does yours?

I think I am all caught up with personals? If, I did miss someone…I am sorry! I will be back later.

Hi everyone,

It was so gloomy here today, hoping the sun will come out tomorrow. I did High Reps upper body today.

Belinda - Wow, you have an "in" at CV most people didn't receive all they ordered, you scored some good deals!! The results dvd looks interesting, I'll try soon.

Cookie - I was wondering how the DOMS is after walking 22 miles? I'm guessing Monday's are tough for you:) I'm going to Florida to visit my Dad & vacation after.

Waves hi to everyone!

Goodnight:)

'Morning!
Belinda, you got lucky! Most of mine ordered from Collage didn't ship - they sold out before. I have the dance hiit and you know I'm not the most graceful but working on it (TG no one can see me doing it) but it is fun. So far, I've only done it once. No, I'm not getting Fe Fit - I really do have plenty.
Amelia, looking forward to the next piece of art. Thanks so much for sharing this one.
Kristen, my dog wishes she could be with you. She wants to run every day. We have plenty of land for her to run in but she wants to do it with a human. Good luck this week.
Vicky, how was the game?
Kelly, hope your dh and ds are fine, and you are too.
Deb, if we do the long walk on Sunday, Mondays are yoga or a light day. Your dad will be so happy to see you. Hope the weather there is great and that you can bring some back for us.
DH flat out refused to walk yesterday. Guess I didn't notice it was raining and the wind was crazy. It did only get worse as the day went on. Friends made too much food for their breakfast, so we went to help them out. Then I alternated treadmill/rebounder while watching some dvds to get some miles in.
This morning was Travis.

Good morning,

Today I am starting the Gym Style rotation. Still haven't decited with one I will start after my coffee:confused: This week is recovery week from P90X3:D

Cookie - the weather was awful yesterday:( No way, I would walk my dogs in this weather:confused: The dogs wouldn't go out site yesterday:eek: Did you get the Hiit Jazz exercise DVD from College? When I reviewed the clip a few weeks ago, I liked the music and it looked like fun. Glad you had fun this morning with Travis.

Debbie - I think I got all my order from CV, except Amy Bento Box Strength:eek: I also didn't hesitate to order, I hit that enter bottom without thinking twice about it:eek: The Results DVD with Cindy Whitmarch is amazing, she packs a lot in 30 min. Good job on HR.

Waving Hi to everyone that checks in today. I will be back after my workout.

hey girls,

Yesterday was a hike after supper for 40mins. I'm not sure what im doing today..may just be a rest day

Great job on the workouts ladies...we are rocking them :D

Good afternoon,

Gym Style legs is done:D I am doing Cathe's Dec 06' Fat Loss & Strength Building rotation.

Amelia - good job yesterday. Can't wait to go outside. We had snow yesterday:eek:

I will be back in the morning. Have a wonderful day and workouts.

Hey everyone. I checked out Cathe's rotation for April and decided that I would commit to it. The only problem is she has no set rest days. I assume YR is the rest day, but I cannot workout on the Wednesdays I have class this month. However, I am going to stick to it as much as possible. I am hoping that this will whip me into shape for spring and summer clothes, lol.

Yesterday we went to my friend's children's birthday party. It was in the city and by the time we got home, I was too swamped trying to catch up on paperwork to workout. I also ate bad fast food yesterday. Well, it wasn't bad because it tasted soooo good, but it was bad for me, lol. Today I did my best to clean it up. I need to be more aware of what I am eating and how much water I am drinking.

Today I woke up and thought it was Sunday. I turned off my alarm and went back to bed, mad at myself for setting the alarm when it was Sunday. 30 minutes later I realized. . . yesterday was Sunday! I rushed to get out the door only to be greeted by freakin' snow! WTH?!?!? FOUR INCHES!!!! And not one weatherman predicted we would be in for snow. WTH?!?!?

Anyway. . .

Cookie- over 150 students have had their parents send in refusal letters for the test. In my son's elementary school (which has fewer students) 45 are refusing. My principal expects more to come in tomorrow. It is going to be a shit show. A lot of students were asking me how the test counts. . . They are realizing it is bogus to them (no consequence, no bearing on placement), and it scares me because they might not take it seriously, if they take it at all.

Deb- don't even get me started on the weather. We had 4 inches of snow this morning. When I got home, it was 50 degrees. The snow was all melting. The roads are flooded.

Belinda- Baxter needs to be walked to focus him and give him "work". Otherwise, he gets himself in trouble. Lol. I don't mind. It clears my head. I have a lot of stress from work and my mom that the quiet walk with just him helps me release in some way. I can hear myself think. I refuse to answer my cell or text during the walk.

Amelia- great workout with the hike. Hope you enjoyed the rest day.

Off to put my pjs on and chill out!

Kristin

Hi,

We went to dinner on Friday night and the owner (DH's friend) & waiters were sick:confused: so it looks like DH may have the flu:(. I'm going to sleep somewhere else tonight because we're visiting my Dad in FL and he is just getting over chemo for bladder cancer. I'm worried but hoping DH will be over this quickly he usually is.

Belinda - The rotation looks interesting, GS's are so much fun. Snow by you too:rolleyes:

Kristin - I couldn't believe when watching the weather tonight that LI had snow. I didn't remember them mentioning it either.

Cookie - It's been so windy here too a garbage pail cover blew on our property, how do I find the owner of that:confused: Actually I think I ran it over tonight:eek:

Waves hi to everyone;)

Goodnight:)
