Commit to get Fit & Lean for March 2014

'Evening!
Belinda, honestly, Cathe and JS are my two favorite instructors. Just love the both of them. My dd lives in a dorm so I mentioned JS to her, and she said some of her friends do her workouts. July is hot, plus it is crowded. I look forward to traveling in the fall or spring whenever I retire.
Amelia, I just saw your pm tonight. Please check yours. What thoughtful gifts you got your dh. Hope he enjoys his celebration. The cake has me wanting some.
Kristen, no preconf? In our district, the obs has to be scheduled, and rescheduling them are a major pain. I was told today the district wants to videotape me working with teachers, and that's making me nervous. I've been taped many times before but not feeling really comfortable with the person telling me this time.
Kelly, how's the weather out there? -6 here this morning, and that's nasty.
Deb, is your yoga instructor back from her vacation? I've been trying to do UY on the weekends and notice if I skip a weekend.
Up late getting work done and had to be up earlly to finish up, so I'm dragging now. Today was a rest day, but I still got in over 10,000 steps and without a workout!

Hello all. I just finished Xtrain BS Bis and Tris, plus abs. I also walked Baxter in this crazy cold for 40 minutes. I love that dog too much I think, haha. I feel badly for him because he's in the crate when we are all out and he needs to get focused exercise, as my dog trainer says. Anyway. .. today was a bit better, lol.

Deb- I'd be happy to turn the clocks ahead if it meant things would warm up around here. It is depressing, lol. At least the sun is out longer though. I think that having the sun out longer makes it a bit more bearable, at least for me. The sun always puts me in a good mood.

Cookie- multiple choice questions are so much fun and so creative, NOT! lol. I cannot wait to get the test over and done with already. One more month to go. Whatever will be will be, and I could not care less anymore when it comes to the test score. It's all BS anyway. .. We are supposed to have a pre-observation conference, but he asked me to skip it. He said I could answer the pre-ob questions in my post-ob. What was I going to say, no? I think not. He said everything was great. If I'm not satisfied with what he has to say, I will make an issue of it. Otherwise, why piss him off, right?

Belinda- I'll tell you, I am loving lifting heavy again. I don't think I'll take this long of a break from real lifting again. I am seeing some nice upper body definition too. I think my body type responds better to weights. I am thinking when I am done with the Xtrain weights, I will do 4DS and then circuits, just to get "cut" for summer. Then go to gym styles and then STS possibly.

Amelia- happy birthday to your DH. I love those bird eggs, lol. Great job on the weight loss. Keep it up! ;)

Hi,

I didn't have too much time today, so I did a few leg exercises like walking lunges, squats & one leg squats. This morning I was so cold but later in the day the sun really helped.

Belinda - I've been doing P90x3 random so I think I will check out the rotations. You are really set with all your rotations in advance, it's nice to be a planner.

Kristin - The sun made a big difference today, gave me some hope:) I'm sure Baxter loves his walks, does he get excited when you take the leash out? It's funny how dogs love that.

Amelia - Awesome job with your weight loss! Happy Birthday to DH:)

Cookie - The yoga instructor is back & the class complained because the class was tough yesterday. She must have rested too much;) It's impressive to get in 10,000 steps without a workout!

After I have my coffee, I will do STS D38 legs and later today I will do P90X3 Eccentric Upper.

Cookie - Cathe and Jessica are my favorite instructors too:( You don't need a lot of space or equipment doing a Jessica workout, love that about her. And of course, her personality. I always have a special place for Cathe. Glad your DD enjoys JS workouts.

Kirstin - you can't believe you walked your dog in this weather, wow! You are so good walking your dogs. I am a total wimp:p The roads were icy yesterday, maybe I can walk them today? I am so ready for spring. WTG, seeing upper body definition. I still haven't open Xtrain:confused: Another program I need to try, lol! I love, love the 4DS! One of my favorite Cathe series.

Debbie - I like to plan my workouts, this way it gets done! You should try to give P90X3 a try. Do you want to start a rotation with me the end of March? I plan on doing the Lean rotation. I almost caved and ordered 21 Day Fix :mad: Had to talk myself out of it, I already have so many workout programs. I need to get through them first.

Hey girls, quick check in before work. Just finished 3 mile power walk. I woke up kinda blah so it helped my mood a little. Now off to pack my lunch and get ready. Everybody have a great day:)

Belinda, JS's personality is great - very motivating. So what do you think of Tony? Would I like him? I'm ready for spring.
Kristen, upper body definition! Don't cha love it! I respond very good to weight work also. Think I actually get more results from it than from cardio. Isn't it amazing how attached we can be to a pet? I unabashedly love mine.
Amelia, how was the birthday celebration? Great that you got a power walk in and even better that it helped how you felt. Do you also find that it clears your mind? I've noticed I often can think through a problem or situation best on a walk.
Kelly, how are you doing? Do you often exercise during your lunch? Do you have a gym at work?
Deb, I remember when you started with this yoga instructor you thought she was challenging. Would you still describe her the same way?
Heard the upcoming weather report for the next few days, and it contained the word frigid 6 times! Ohhh, I can't wait for spring.
Did Firm vol. 1 again today.

Morning girls,

I've got the sniffles this morning, this crazy GA weather gets me every time. Its in the 20's one day then in the 70's the next...:mad: Both my kids are sniffling too.

So yesterday was a walk and I'm thinking today may be a rest day. I just finished TTOTM and im feeling pretty tired this morning. After work we must grocery shop - there is literally nothing here :eek:

Cookie- Great job with your firm workout!! :mad: on the frigid temps. Yes, come on spring!!

Debbie-Nice job on your leg exercises. I've done that before, it can really get the blood pumping.

Kristin-I bet baxter gets excited when he see's that leash. Great job on your workout.

Kelly-Glad your little boy had a blast on his b-day. Great job with your workouts. When you workout on the elliptical during your lunch break do you sweat a lot? I've thought about walking on my lunch break but im afraid of the sweat. :eek:

Melissa- how are things going? Did you get p90x3 yet?

Cookie - I don't mind Tony's silliness in P90X3:eek: He makes me laugh:D I am also ready for spring. I bought a patio lounger, I am ready for spring:p

Hi,

Today I took a yoga class. The instructor helped me to an assisted headstand and another girl in the class showed me how to do an "L" on the wall. I prefer the "L" too afraid to do a headstand alone.

Belinda - I'm going to mix Classic w/STS. I'm going to visit my Dad & vacation in April so I wouldn't be able to keep up with you on the Lean rotation:( but at least I will see how you like it. The patio lounger sounds nice!

Amelia - The weather here is crazy too but if the sun is shining it does help. Sometimes I feel like I'm always at the food store always running out of something:rolleyes:

Cookie - The yoga instructor is still challenging but I think UY is pretty close. I guess in the class they can give you help/tips with things you are struggling with. You have been doing a good job of mixing the Firms in.

Sorry I didn't check in yesterday got so caught up in a project, honestly I have no idea where the rest of the day went.
Belinda, a patio lounger! I'm sure it looks nice but you never rest. So who is it for? JK
Amelia, the sniffles are here also. As a matter of fact, feel like now I'm coming down with them. It would be hard not to when I feel surrounded by them. Do you listen to music when you walk? Just curious. I find my pace really does change according to the beat. I put in an old Richard Simmons the other day but just used to music to bounce on the rebounder.
Kristen, as we're gearing up for final budget cuts lots of drama. I just find it so wearing. Not sure what our next generation will be like at the rate the humanities are getting cut. Even athletics, which has been a sacred cow. Its crazy. You are a much better dog owner than I am. But my son did take the hyper one for a walk yesterday.
Kelly, you must be busy. Check in when you can.
Deb, wow your practice is really progressing. I think it has been around a year that you've been with this instructor - right? I thought Travis might get on my nerves but I find him totally relaxing and like Cathe, saying the right thing at the exact moment I need to hear it. Its addictive.
Going down to workout. Had Roundout Knockout planned but might look for something else. I'm dragging.

Morning girls,

Im up early to get the kids on the bus before a workout. I've been feeling a bit blah the last few days, I'm ready for today to be over with because im off tomorrow :)

Today will be a Total Gym workout then some cardio, not sure exactly yet. First I need to pack everybody lunch first, including mine.:confused:

Cookie-I will listen to music when I walk outside. If I walk inside I follow a Leslie Sansone dvd. Last week when I walked outside I used a walking app on my phone and I find I do walk slower. My pace was a 3.5 vs a 4.0 with Leslie. What did you decide on with your workout?

Debbie-WTG on your headstand! Thats challenging. And yes, I feel I'm always picking something up at the grocery store.

Belinda-Nice 3 mile fast walk. Whats on tabs for today?

Today I have D30 (SBT) and P90X3 Pilates X on tap. You guys been asking me about what results I am getting with P90X3…..I am down 10 pounds since I started P90X3. I also lost a lot of inches.


Cookie - funny girl:eek::p I do know how to relax when I need too;) The patio lounger is coming today. My deck is covered in snow:confused: JS just released a 3 digital DVD series, are you getting it? I think I will wait until it comes out on DVD. I don't like her digital store:( Have fun with your workout.

Debbie - what is a "L" on the wall:eek: I am not that advanced in yoga yet:eek: I think you like the Classic/STS mix. I'll bet you excited to visit your dad in April:D Good for you.

Amelia - have fun with your TG this morning. I checked on QVC, looks really good. That's us too:D I am always at the grocery store, picking up fruit and vegetables.

38 min total body TG workout done + 2 mile power walk. I'm so glad its done and I can rest after work :)

That TG workout was tough, I was sweating :confused: I also found myself unable to complete all the reps, perhaps I should lower my resistance next time ( or keep as is and make it a challenge)

I did P90x3 Total Synergistics. I liked it I think the series is yoga based with a twist. I was off today but it was pretty stressful. Tomorrow we are going to visit my Mom for her birthday.

Belinda - Awesome results!! You could easily do "L" you are about 1-2 feet away from the wall (facing away from it) put your hands on the floor (palms flat), arms straight and you walk your feet up the wall. In the L you really feel a nice stretch in your hamstrings and you are building strength in you arms. You can also walk your feet all the way up the wall to get a feel for a handstand but with wall support.

Amelia - Enjoy your day off. It's tough when the weather isn't breaking to not feel blah but tomorrow should be nice. The days will be longer too so maybe that will help.

Cookie - Your right it has been a year+ with the yoga instructor, but she is young so worried she will someday meet someone and move away;) Which workout did you decide on?

Belinda, glad to hear you do relax. It is 19 degrees warmer than yesterday, and tomorrow the clocks move ahead, so perhaps you'll be on the lounger in warm weather in two weeks. Down 10 is amazing. (I wasn't going to confess but will - I bought the download last weekend already. Once it downloaded, it is easy for me to use since it stays on the Purple platform.)
Amelia, I'm sure this crazy winter is not helping a funk. I usually listen to mostly talk radio but music playing really changes me. I keep a cd of Grease in the car and that always helps me. You have me thinking about TG and Belinda has me on P90x3. What I really need is time to do my workouts and upper body strength to push away from the foods I shouldn't have.
Kristin, I'm sure it went well yesterday. What are your plans for the weekend?
Melissa, hope you can a chance to slow down and take some time for yourself for a few hours. Are you almost at midterms?
Kelly, how was your week? What is your fav type of workouts?
Deb, I have UY on tap this weekend, took last weekend off. When I did it the time before my shoulder was really aggravated all over again. I've missed Travis so hope all cooperates. I was thinking the same thing about a young teacher yesterday. Hope he doesn't meet someone and move away.
Met dh for Thai last night and it was so good. Then hockey game which was also good for our team. Yesterday did Urban Rebounder workout - it was ok but I like jumping on the rebounder. Then did JS Barefoot Fusion walk from dvd (only I wore sneakers on the bounder). Think today will be Athletic Step, then riding with dh to see friends in Boston before coming back to hockey game. (I don't think we'll make it back in time but who knows).

Cookie - thanks you! Let me know how you like JS new walking series. I forgot I had a download on purple payer, Michele D. gave a free download away a very long time ago. You can not download workouts from purple player on your hard drive, can you? Enjoy your weekend.
