Commit to get FIT & LEAN for March 2, 2011

Morning!
Belinda, I love how you always sound so determined each morning on what you are going to do. Sometimes I dawdle too much even when it is planned out. What results are you seeing?
Iris, hope yesterday went smoothly. It's getting so exciting. I was looking at an older M&FHers yesterday and thought of you in some of the competitions. You go girl.
Helene, in yesterday's NYTimes Science section there is an article by Jane Brody on rotator cuff and other type of injuries. Think you might find it interesting. Hope you feel better soon.
Deb, I ended up spending the day doing data on the computer yesterday and now my eyes are so dry. How do you manage it? Heard JCPenney is one of the only ads that were new for the Oscars - any of your products shown?
Kristin, congrats on making it thru another milestone of motherhood! Don't you feel like you deserve an award? Keep using the sanitizer cause this thing is bad.
Melissa, how did you two decide to go on this trip together? While I'm no longer a Motel 6 girl, I still don't see a reason to spend a lot on a hotel room when not planning on only being there. Are you going to the Grand Canyon also?
Trish, so is that the dvd Belinda recommended to you? I almost did a pilates tb this morning but still am not up to it. How long is your train ride?
Lori, so did you run 45 and wt train 45 yesterday, Ms. Energizer Bunny?
Still feeling like a train wreck. Didn't wo again this morning and now that three days for me. Have a lot of work to do so, think I'm going to try to make it in. Yesterday the oil company apparently came, took a look at our driveway and left. They never even tried it, so guess we're going to have to get a sander/salter in to do some work quickly, so I better go earn some bucks to pay for that, esp. before we run out of oil. Was supposed to spend last evening with my mom since it was the anniversary of my stepdad's passing; if up to it will take her to see King's Speech this evening.
Cookie

Morning,

Belinda: Yes, you always do seem so determined in the workout you are going to do. :)

Cookie: Thanks for the article. Will look it up. Ironically, I am supposed to strengthen my shoulder muscles in order to support my injury better. So bring on Cathe. I just have to be super careful with my form. And what IS this thing going around? Hope you do feel better and that you get some oil in

Kristin: You and Cookie are scaring me with this talk about something going around. And when you talk about your building......what a building for germs . I haven't heard about anything here....YET, but was feeling a bit queasy yesterday. Must be sympathy queasiness. ^5 on your little guy. He's a clever boy that one.

Melissa: What I'd give to go to Vegas with DH alone.........

Iris: How was yesterday? You must be tired. Can't wait to read up on your day.

Deb: I guess it is the slower time of the year for you. How is FIL by the way?

Lori: Ok, so the lady did have an excuse to cancel this one time. LOL.

Amelia: I have TF and Chalean does get on your nerves, but she is fun at the same time. I pull it out once in a while.

Trish: So how early is the train you take in? I can't seem to get up lately. And I have a hard time working out at night. I need to snap out of it. It's not like I'm going to stop being tired all of a sudden.

OK, time to go to work. Wasn't I just there yesterday?
Have a great day everyone.
OK, for the rest of the week, I am going Belinda style and posting what I am going to do instead of when I am done. So tonight I am doing disc 10. There!

Hi,

I went to the gym today and did Body Blast (mostly plyo) TG it was only 45 min. I have no endurance for plyo.

I'm doing computer work today. Work is so slow, the stores have very little product, maybe because Easter is so late this year the end of April. May have to wait to go to my stores 2nd half of the month since I leave for Tennessee on Sunday.

Belinda - Cookie's right you seem so regimented, my DH is the same way while I always fly by the seat of my pants.

Cookie - The ice is finally melting from our driveway, the last snow storm must have set you back:( Your better off resting until you feel better. I heard really good things about the King's Speech.

Helene - My FIL is doing better and his home but my inlaws seem so much older then their "real" age. Are you doing a STS rotation or just randomly doing discs?

Iris - Resting from your crazy day yesterday:) Will any of your family members go to the competition?

Hey where is everyone today:) Enjoy your workouts!

Hi ladies!

I did STS Disc 11 today and Pilates abs. I am doing 1 arm rows with 30#s now! That's 8#s more than I did for my last round of STS :)

I think I'm getting sick too :( I have been eating Halls drops like it's my job. My throat feels better than it did this morning (knock on wood) thankfully!

Cookie, it was actually my brother's idea to go to Vegas for my 30th bday. He said I needed to "do it big" lol. My friend is also turning 30 in July and she wanted to go for hers, so we are kind of doing a joint birthday thing and going in June because it will be hot enough to enjoy the pool. Nope, no GC this year. It's too expensive. I heard the King's Speech is amazing. Hope you get to see it. Feel better!!! There are a bunch of nasty bugs going around: stomach, throat, cough...UGH!

Helene, YEAH! You GO! ;) How is your shoulder doing?

Belinda, great WO (as always!). Ok, I can't stand next to you when we WO on the RT lol. You will def show me up!!

Deb, are you going to TN for business or fun?

Kristin, aww @ missing your parents. I totally know what you mean! My parents went to VT for a week and I texted my mom that I missed them and she was laughing at me. I can't really get into the Miami HW either. I've been watching but I dunno. I didn't really like BH all too much either. LOL, you're right about Vegas! I'm slowly convincing one of my best friends to come with us so if he does I know we will have an awesome time!

Amelia, hope work is going well!!

Trish, what are you up to today?

Lori, where did you go? Studying hard?

Iris, hope you had fun in Boston.

I think that's everyone. Have a great night ladies!!

Evening ladies,

I'm not finding time to post at work these days:confused:. But, somehow I managed to get dinner cooked, served and the girls ready for bed by 8:00 tonight so it worked out fine. My wo today was supposed to be SS, but my DVD is on the fritz. I think I bought it on ebay so I won't be able to trade it for a new one. I guess I will end up getting the download, but I'm really missing the premixes with the downloads. I know you can build your own, but if you don't know what the premix consists of you're S-O-L. But anyway, I ended up doing GS BSB and am already feeling soreness in my upper back and lats;).

Belinda - Glad to be over this hump today! I'm looking forward to the weekend and thinking I need to schedule a mental health day. There are just not enough hours to get everything in and get proper rest.

Cookie - Yes, that's the DVD that Belinda recommended. I really liked the queuing in it although I think I could go for something a little more advanced. I only felt a little burning on a few of the exercises. I haven't found anything as advanced as the pilates class I used to take at the gym. That class was HARD! I'm going to try out Gleason's yoga dvd, too. So my train ride actually consists of 3 trains...2 nj transits and then the subway. The whole trip from the train station to the office is about 1 hour and 15 mins. Hope you were able to take your mom to see King's Speech. I have that one saved in my netflix queue:D.

Helene - So MWF my train is @ 6:13 and TTH it is @ 6:56. I have been getting up early to get a pilates wo in before my cardio on T & TH, but I'm planning to sleep in tomorrow morning. I think my body will be appreciative;) Only problem is I have a presentation in the morning and that usually means I won't sleep well the night before:confused:. Btw, I'm with you on a nice trip to Vegas with DH...not happening for me any time soon:(

Deb - I had a woman call me regimented in a meeting last week because I wear a HRM and track my food. I told her I was regimented in every aspect of my life! LOL! I could tell by the way she said it (in front of everyone) that she was not trying to pay me a compliment;) Are you flying to Tennessee? I remember when I used to go to school in TX, my dad would drive me down and we always stayed the night in Tenn. I think it took about 12 hours.

Melissa - You are kicking butt on STS!! Between you, Kristin and Helene you've got me itching to start another round:)

Hellos to Iris and Amelia! Have a great night ladies.

Hi Girls,

Its hard for me to check in this week b/c of work and everything else. It didn't take long for me to get use to my week off and enjoy checking in all the time;)

Yesterday's workout was Disc 10 and 5 miles on the TM. Today I did 45 mins on the TM, 15 mins on the bike and B&G. Tomorrow morning I have a client and then I am meeting my two friends for a coffee. I am also going to be getting my GS workouts back!!! But I kinda need to do disc 11 tomorrow along with cardio.

Belinda** Nice workout!

Cookie** Yes, I managed to fit it all in!:p Sorry to hear you still aren't feeling well. Our driveway is awful right now!

Helene** Yes...she had a good reason to cancel. Her mom passed away last night. I think they knew it was coming for a long time. I have to make something and take over to them tomorrow.

Deb** I hate it when work is slow. The day is brutal!

Melissa** I am super busy with work and training this week. I haven't had a chance to open a book but hopefully this weekend at work I will. I only have one more chapter of boring stuff and then I will get into the stuff I enjoy reading about!

O.k...I may be around tomorrow. It won't be in the morning though!:(

Lori:)

Well, made it back!
Belinda, see how you inspire us! That's what I just love about our group; sincerely I very much appreciate every one here.
Helene, did you find the article? It spoke of strengthening the shoulder to help it repair, so clearly you're way ahead of things. I stopped at the dr's this afternoon and he thinks part of my stomach issues are stress related. Well, part of it could be but not when both my dh and I have the same symptoms at the same time. Sometimes I feel like men don't really listen well.
Melissa, well what does he suggest folks who are in their fifties do? Just curious. A friend is turning 60, and she's going to Paris for two weeks. I would love, love, love to do that. I'm washing my hands so much, I think they're looking like a desert.
Deb, are you all driving to TN? You must be so excited and anxious to see your son. How long will you be there? The King's Speech is even better than I expected. Saw it last week with dh and then tonight with Mom. Highly recommend it.
Lori, you are so kind to bring food to your friend. But how will you find the time?
Kristin, gee wonder if my kids will ever miss me? Think I'll have to given them at least another decade or so first. One of my sisters has daughters that are always upset when she goes away, so maybe it is only with daughters. Your mom is fortunate to have such an appreciative child. She must be so proud of you for so many things.
Trish, wow, no wonder you don't get enough sleep. What time do you get up to wo?
I have to leave around 6:30, sometimes closer to 6:45, and I'm rushing every day to get things done and out by then. Hope you're already asleep. Oh I had ss in the dvd to do this morning but just couldn't drag myself to do it. I enjoy that wo.
Amelia, how did it go today with the coworker? Any more painting jobs planned?
Iris, hope it went great yesterday. Were you tired today?
Took mom to the movies and she was so happy. It felt good to spend the time with her. Lately, I've been running around so much I haven't made the time.
Cookie

Good evening,

Cookie - glad you and your mom had fun at the movies.
Lori - another busy day, hah? Have fun.

Trish - I am looking forward to the weekend too. Good job, on your DOMS.

Melissa - you can stand next to me at the RT at anytime next;), lol! I work out like a crazy person, still have to loose quit some weight.

Kirstin - I know, what your mean, missing your partens. Can't live with them, can't live without them. Glad you had a great time with them.

Debbie - how exciting seeing your son. Good job, taking BB to the gym today. How do you like the downloads at the gym?

Helene - your are funny! How did D10 go this evening?

Have a good night, everyone!
