COMMIT TO GET FIT & LEAN FOR JULY 13, 2011

Good Morning Ladies!

Today is also a Back and Triceps day for me. Disc 8. I will probably throw my favorite cardio in as well. 4DS HIS. Yesterday I managed to squeak out KPC/Legs and Glutes premix Kick Combos and Strength Circuit. Then did Yoga Abs from Ab Circuits.

Thanks for listening and all the advice! :) It's nice to get all my thoughts out here.

Belinda- Have a great workout! I love your set up in the RV! Very cool!

Melissa- I used to teach high school and middle school *wayyy back in the day*, and when I got out after 2 years I swore I'd never go back to public school again...lol. (especially nowadays!), so I could teach college level or privately. There's options, but takes a lot of hard work and dedication. But like you said, gotta be willing to bust your ass for what you love AND be happy about it! There's no reason I can't do this, it'll just be later in life than most...lol Btw...nice workouts yesterday!!! I can only imagine what you have on tap until the RT!

Kristin- Yeah that pretty much sounds like me! lol. Don't you love muscle pump?? It usually stays with me for a good part of the day, so I won't be cheating triceps today!! lol

Amelia- Ok I've caught up on your blog now! ;) You never know, a raise might come after you've been established as the cake decorator! Give time, time and see what happens! And then speak up after you know you're "in" this for awhile. But at least you're saving money by not having the babysitter, so that's cool! And you're right, who knows where this might lead you down the line!

Deb- You're right about having the back up plan! It's why I will find a full time job now....lol.

Ok ladies, have a wonderful day!

Iris - you are doing STS, right? I see you did a circuit wo yesterday for your cardio day. Is it ok to do circuits with STS? I wouldn't mind throwing in a circuit wo here and there. Enjoy your BT wo today.

Morning,

Happy birthday Iris. Have a fantastic day :D
I'm using pink like Belinda, it being your favorite color and all :p

Iris: We're all good listeners :D Later in life than most doesn't mean much. My oldest brother retrained as a teacher and this was his first year. It went great and he is happy......and 48. Before he was just in computers and all the work went overseas so it was really hard to keep a job, especially when you are older. The days we live in....

Belinda: Wow, that is dedication doing your workouts like that. Incredible setup down to the bands over the arm rest. Where do you put it all when you are done? Agreed on the MIL thing. If I remember well, she doesn't need to be on FB with you. I think everyone agreed on this one. :)

Melissa: So I wonder what you are gonna do for workouts for the next 17 days until the RT because they have been intense!!!! I am so excited and nervous at the same time.

Trish: How are you today? Hope this week goes by quickly for you. My eats are still in the dumps. Not stepping on the scale and eating cookies  At least I'm doing CLX

Amelia: I caught up on your blog too. It sounds good to me. Have you taken classes that Micheal's offers for cake decorating if there is one near you? Maybe you can talk about it to your boss and they can pay for it. They're good from what I understand. Of course, that might not be what you need with your schedule.

Deb: Yeah on the last spin bike. How long are the spinning sessions? Thanks for all the info. I will also try to remember baby wipes. And make a mad dash for the showers.

Kristin: I hope you were able to keep cool with your boys. Did you go to the pool at your parents? I can't believe it's been so hot out. DS is in summer camp. All outside play. At least they went to the lake yesterday, but I was glad to pick him up. A 6 year old out all day in this weather makes me nervous....

Lori: I really am eating like crap. Maybe it's sympathy for you. Hope you are doing well. We miss you around here.

Cookie: How are you doing? I hope you are taking care of yourself and will be able to enjoy the RT to the fullest!

One more CLX workout in the burn circuit and I move to the next phase. Should be fun. I'm liking all my workouts. But I still can't eat like a normal person. Don't know how to figure it out. I think it's being tired and stressed all the time that are doing it. Something's gotta give and I guess it my will power towards food.....

Have a great day ladies!

Also thanks everyone for the info on driving to the RT. Now I don't know what to do. I didn't want to take off work and I have a meeting until midnight the night before. I hope I don't miss the start of it

So this is what I got......
drive in early.
remember to bring baby wipes.
And yes 8 outfits is about right.

Morning

Sooooooo, yesterday I didn't do much:eek: no workout. I was just exhausted & MIL was here. She's suppose to come over next week for a couple of days then FIL will retire in august.

Today I'm suppose to go see my therapist but I've got to reschedule because I have to be at work earlier then usual and I hate rushing.

anyways, today is S90 legs and maybe a cardio first? Not sure....I feel the need to do some damage control from yesterday:eek: i did good up until the night time munchies kicked in...

Hello to everyone. BBL - hopefully

First off....
HAPPY BIRTHDAY IRIS!!!!

Morning ladies! Did Rhythmic Step this morning: what a fun workout! I'm trying to get my workouts in before class now because WHENEVER I start my hospital hours, I won't have time to do it during the day. Plus, DA has been working a PT job at nights; his FT job is a freelance researcher/writer for a history pub so he doesn't have set hours during the day which is good and means whenever I get a free minute, we can do something together. It's just kinda hard waking up at 4AM to workout

Ok now for the ish with the hospital...my interview was THREE weeks ago! I haven't heard anything from the volunteer lady so I called her last week and emailed. I also emailed the PT head like wtf is going on (much more professional though ;)). Apparently volunteer lady was on vacation but really??? Why didn't you set my hours??? So I have been calling this week and the PT guy is like what's going on so I asked if there was any way I can bypass the volunteer dept because they obviously don't give a crap! He said they can't but try her once more and if I don't hear back then I need to call him ASAP and he is getting involved. I am so tired of this; I don't know what to do cuz the predicament is this place is 5 min from my house. Everything else is at least a 45 min ride. With the price of gas and school being an hour away as it is, I want to save as much gas as I can. Also, the head PT there is REALLY awesome and knowledgeable and he really wants to work with me, it's just all these stupid politics that are screwing it up!!!! I guess I will wait for this woman to call me back and if I don't hear from her today I am calling the dude tomorrow; if I don't get a schedule for next week, I'm gonna suck it up and go somewhere else. Sorry for the rant.

Kristin, this weather is so gross. I can deal with heat but I have 0 tolerance for humidity. I was thinking about getting one of those rubber pools they sell at Toys R Us lol. I don't have an upper & lower body premix on my Pyramid DVD ????

Amelia, wow you are busy! I'm with ya on the early workouts...BLAH! But we can do it! We can use each other as motivation to get our butts out of bed ;) That is crap about no raise for the cake decorating! If you took the position, would they consider giving you one? When are you done with training? Have a great WO today!

Belinda, I am loving the RV gym!!! That is so awesome! You have a nice little setup going on there. I think you should submit a success story with pics, like "this is what keeps me fit." It would definitely be 1 of a kind!

Deb, nice WO yesterday! I'm surprised the gym was busy; when I used to work at one, the summers were like a ghost town.

Iris, so any big bday plans? Ooooh I always forget about the L&G/KPC premixes. Actually, I forget about premixes in general! I should start looking at them more. Trust me, I'm starting late in the career game too. If it helps, the way I looked at it before I took the plunge was what's 5 years compared to 45? I could bust my ass in school for 5 years and do something I love for the next 30-40 OR I could stay with what I know and do something I absolutely hate for 35-45 years. It was a no-brainer ;)

Helene, OMG my workout schedule for the next 2 weeks looks crazy. I hope I can get through it lol! Don't be nervous about the RT; you have us there! It will be like a reunion...even though we haven't officially "met" each other haha! It's gonna be awesome though!! You are doing so great with your workouts!! Stress and being tired could definitely be messing w/ your eats. I'm trying not to watch too much TV and keep active during the day (which means no naps )and it's been helping...then again this is only day 2  BUT by nighttime I'm so exhausted that I don't even think about food. Your RT plan looks good! Oh and the ziplock bag idea that Cathe gave was good: bring a gallon ziplock for each workout outfit you're gonna wear w/ a dryer sheet inside. Line dry them at the hotel the best you can then put them in the ziplocks. It keeps them from being nasty & smelly and knocking you out when you get home ;)

Have a great day girls!!!

Alright, I guess I'll check-in again.

I am so tired I don't know how I'm going to make it through the rest of the week. And I am so pissed  Last night I asked DH if he had a work dinner or not tonight. He said no it was cancelled. So I thought good I can get a workout in tonight. That's good because DD woke up early and instead of getting my workout in I let DH sleep in and took care of her. Now he emails me a meeting request (you can laugh but that's how we do things  since we work at the same place) that he has the dinner tonight. WTF?! Tomorrow night he has to go to court for a ticket and I have to take DS to Tae Kwon Do then I have a meeting until midnight and Friday night I'm on my own again because FIL is coming for a month and DH is picking him up. I need more sleep, I'm just not surviving well on 5-6 hours every single night.

Thanks for letting me rant. I love that I can come here and do that ;)

On to more fun stuff.

Belinda: Melissa is totally right, that would be an awesome success story! Proof that you can do STS anywhere too! Submit, submit!!!!!

Melissa: OMG, I hadn't seen that about the ziploc bags. Thanks for posting it because I only really look at our thread mostly. OMG that is both incredibly nasty, incredibly practical and incredibly funny. So we are going to be a bunch of nasty sweaty ladies covering up with deodorant, washing with baby wipes because there aren't enough showers and putting the smelly clothes in ziploc bags with drier sheets so it doesn't get too nasty. ROFLMAO
I do hope you can get that hospital PT stuff worked out with how close it is but dang they really suck and need a kick in the you know what. ugh!

My workout is finally done! Used the same weights as I did my last round of STS. It's all good:eek: I need to stay off Skype, chatting way to much with my sister, lol!

Debbie - had to laugh when I read your post last night, your are so fanny! Nice job, on your spin and pilates wo yesterday. I wishd Cathe's tower wouldn't be so expensive. I need to look into other pull ups stuff/stand.

Iris - how was your workout? I love, love. love 4DS HIS too! Thanks about the RV comment, lol! Still keeping up with my workouts.
Helene - thanks on the MIL thing! To answer your ?, most off my workout stuff I stuff (like my bands, cloves, pump, wrist weigths, bands) I stuff neatly in a basket under the passender seat. My BB and DB I leave them out like you see in the pic., uneless I use that thing for a high step!!! My step goes right next to my mat, this way everything is out of the way! Have to keep things neat , right? LOL! I also keep my stability ball were you see it in the pic I think, that's it. Sorry, about your situation with our DH! I know, how that feels. I hope you and your DH can work it out and come to a solution which works for both. I agree, getting little sleep doesn't help(((HUGS)))

Amelia - sorry, you end up taking care for your MIL. I feel for you! Have fun with our leg wo today.

Melissa - good for you getting your workout in and out of the way! RS is a fun one.Sorry about the intewview, hope that lady will call you after her vacation. Isn't my RV gym set up cool, or what? LOL, maybe I will submit a success story with pic this week, lol! I never thought about!! LOL! You and Helene are so cute! Thanks for your kind words, girls!

Have a great evening ladies! I will be back tomorrow!

I am so beat right now. I cleaned the house, put Chris down for a nap and did CCC, which nearly kills me every time. Then I showered and took the boys to this place called Boomers. It has kiddie rides, mini golf, bumper boats, etc. We had a blast. They even have a kiddie roller coaster. It was the first time Chris went on a roller coaster and it was fast and bumpy; he loved it! He is just like his mommy, lol. Now we are going to have pizza for dinner (I ate clean for the rest of the day ;))

Iris- Happy Birthday! Nice workout yesterday. 4 DS cardios are awesome to mix in with STS I think. Any special birthday plans for today?

Belinda- nice workout! If I recall correctly your weights were very impressive the last time you did STS, so if you stayed with the same weights, I am betting you are still getting good results, ;)

Helene-Yesterday was so hot, we lived in my parents pool. I would get out for a few minutes and need to get back in again. I'll jump on the husband rant. My DH seems to think that because I am off for the summer he doesn't have to help keep the house clean, and by that I mean put his dirty clothes in the freakin' hamper. I am going on strike soon, I swear!

Melissa- I think the Pyramid DVD has a bonus workout, at the bottom in between the upper and lower sections, I could be wrong. I will look at it later if I have a chance, but anyway, it should be on there. That stinks about the hospital not getting back to you in a timely fashion. Hopefully this guy will hook you up tomorrow. I know wha tyou mean about gas. I have saved so much money not commuting these last two weeks. Unbelievable.

Amelia- hang in there!!! Did you get the workout with cardio in today?

Hi to Deb, Cookie and Lori and Trish!

I will bbl,

Kristin

Hi,

I did S90 Chest & back today. Tomorrow my boss wants me to do the driving to Jersey City for the "Back to School" set-up. I need to clean my car in the morning:eek:

Iris - HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! I think it was one of my son's teachers a few years back who said that the younger generations will probably have 2 or 3 careers in their lifetimes because they will live so much longer, so your really not starting late just a new chapter. I hope you enjoyed your day:)

Belinda - I can easily see how hard it would be not to skype:) You have less to clean so that can be your excuse!

Helene - You had me cracking up about your take on the RT:D I must give both you & DH kudos for working together that must be hard. At this gym the spin classes are between 50 - 55 minutes.

Amelia - August will be here before you know it:)

Melissa - Crossing my fingers you get the closer PT position:) Save some energy for the RT;)

Kristin - For whatever reason I have been craving pizza . . . need to have some soon:)

Trish - Come back & let me know how the spin class was:)

Cookie - I hope your getting all your work finished before the RT. Of course this month my schedule was light the 1st half of the month & will be rushing to get everything done before RT:confused:

Goodnight:)
