Commit to get fit & lean for August!!

'Morning!
Belinda, how are your sinuses doing these days? Mine are raging! Kept waking up with a sinus headache. The King Arthur Flour Baking book has a lot of good recipes with variations and tips. I love the tips. You are on a roll with your workouts.
Lori, you're so far ahead in your competition, he'll never catch up. Did you put in for extra luggage for Lulu?
Kristin, amazing what others will do sometimes. But it really hurts when it is family. Good thing you had friends' celebration to go to right after. Bet your boys love seeing their uncle. I bought a pair of boots and flats last night, so I guess I can say I started on my shopping. Didn't know NY&Co gave a discount and now I'll have to check them out.
Amelia, no search party needed - it is a better internet connection at home that I need! Couldn't get on last night. I've been thinking of getting another dog who might look a little intimidating - none of mine would scare a mouse. I don't want a dog who would bother anyone, just one who looks like it. Hope the aggravation decreases and you can get new sneakers today.
Deb, my dogs don't bother us at night, they're all of the lazy variety. The two barkers seem to do it between 6-8, and then it must be out of their systems.
Taking today as a rest day, my sinuses are a mess. Yesterday was LBB.

Good Morning:)

I was so sleepy when I went to bed last night. It's a good thing I went to bed when I did cause when the baby woke at 2:30...there was already one boy in bed with me....not sure when he came out and then the baby joined us. It wasn't the best nights sleep...and now we are up at 6:30.

My chest is so sore from yesterday's workout. I did S&H and HR chest, HR abs, 30 mins on the TM and 30/30. I guess today will be legs and cardio. I don't know if I'll do a circuit style workout or S&H legs.

Yesterday wasn't such a bad day after all. It cleared up and it was hot out! We went out for dinner and while we were there it poured! We had a massive thunder storm and needless to say, my cloths that was on the line is still there:mad:. It's sunny again today though. I'm not sure what I will do with the kiddies today. I should take them somewhere or get together with some friends.

Belinda** nice workout. I asked my sister if she wanted to sell me her STS but it's a no go. She said she would try it and then lend it to me again...that's just as good as buying it cause chances are she will never get it back:p.

Deb** having puppies is the same as having newborns. I remember when we got our dog and we were up all night long. He sleeps under our bed at night and climbs in and out. He makes a lot of noise doing this but I never hear him. When my parents sleep here though they are always complaining about the noise he is making....I don't hear a sound

Ameila** have fun shopping for new sneakers. Good job on getting your workout in regardless!

Cookie** would you believe that I have a $50 lulu gc and I haven't used it yet? I've seen a couple of things that I like but nothing crazy. There is a really nice coat ....I'm debating!

Kristin** I haven't tried those skinny girl margaritas but I've wanted to. Maybe that's what I should pick up the next time I go to the store. Glad to hear you survived though. I guess you keep your distance and only get together when you have to. My sister is my best friend so I can't imagine. If she was a nut job though it would def be different...there's a better chance of me being a wacko then her.

So today I take on a old client again. She nagged me until I said yes:eek:. I really need to grow a backbone. I'll need my hard hat for this one. She's so high maintance.

I'll bbl!
Lori:)

Morning girls,

Today Cathe's rotation calls for STS Plyo. Legs and AC "No Equitpment".

Cookie - my sinuses are a mess too. The weather isn't helping. I will check out the KA baking book. I know, they have a website with recipes too, keep forgetting!

Kirstin - sorry about your sister. Your sister sounds like mine, maybe they related? LOL! Couldn't you orderd something else you liked? I love Skinnygirl Margarita's, yummy! Glad you had fun afterwards.

Amelia - so what shoes are you getting? Good job on that bike ride.

Debbie - I miss spinning. If I don't get a spin bike soon, I will sign up to the Gold Gym. Have you heard of Butt Bible workouts? How long are the BB Lifts workouts?

Lori - you and your sister are funny w/ STS. At least it stays in the family. Sorry about your sleep last night. Lulu gift card, hah??? have fun spending it. Need to go on their site.

I will be back later. Happy Hump Day, everyone!

Hey Girls

Just sitting down for a few minutes while the baby FINALLY naps...dear Lord! I'm hoping he isn't cutting out a nap already, maybe its to warm for him. I'd like to have a coffee right about now too but same deal...to warm. A iced one would be good though

Belinda** I bet when my sister let's me "borrow" STS, she still won't have tried it. Shes a nurse but works M-F now. When she use to work shift work I think she had more time to workout. I do have my eye on a coat but I don't really need that either! Lol. What I don't have is a pair of lulu running pants. I own lots of capris...just no pants and if I train for another marathon this winter, I will want a pair.

My workout was cardio mixed in with B&G. I also did the floor work. Hurts in the right places

I may bbl!

Lori:)

Hi everyone. I just finished STS TB. I am getting great results doing this workout twice a week. I am seeing more definition in all areas, including abs (and my eating hasn't been very clean either :)). I have one more week with this rotation, but I think I will be pulling out this dvd regularly. I cannot believe I had it for over a year before I actually did it, lol.

My younger DS is with my parents today. My older one is sick :(. It started out with a cold and now he has a fever. It makes me worry because we were out late for that BBQ and we all have mosquito bites. . . I just worry a lot. He is snuggled up watching television, trying to take a nap.

I have been busy planning. I created a new PowerPoint presentation for Meet the Teacher Night and I created a new, easier template for my lesson plans. I can just print them out and put them in my plan book. I am getting excited to go back, but at the same time it makes me a little anxious/sad. I love being home with my boys and I worry about how my younger DS will do going back to daycare. Then again, it's really Pre-K and I would be sending him there whether I was home or not, so it is not that big of a deal.

Belinda- Ugh, my sister. . . I felt that if I ordered myself something else, even a slice of pizza, it would have drawn attention to it and she would have interpretted it as me making her baby's day about me. I just thought it would be the wrong call. I felt like it was almost a setup, if that makes any sense. Soemtimes her craziness drives me to become crazy, lol. She has a way of twisting everything to make it seem like I am the bad guy. By not doing anything and not even addressing it I feel like I did not give her what she wanted this round.

Lori- that is great that your sister is your best friend. For years I tried to be close with her, but it never worked. When we would get into fights it would be exhasuting. She would go on and on and no matter what I said it would not end. I did not realize why at the time. She wasn't diagnosed with bipolar until after she had her son back in 2007. When she went on meds and was seeing her therapist, that was the longest stretch that we got along. She was rational. For whatever reason she stopped taking her meds and seeing her doctor. She was fired from her job for causing a huge scene (lied about it to my family, but I know someone who works with her), and now just stays at home. She is morbidly obese, she complains that she doesn't sleep, and she is irrational. I feel sorry for her, I do. However, after this last fight, where she attacked my husband. . . I realized I had to protect my family and just keep my distance from her. If she went back on meds and got help, maybe things could be better. As for Skinnygirl . .. you have to try it. She know has Cosmo, and some others as well. I've only had the margarity and cosmos.

Cookie- I am finally at a place where my sister's actions are not going to affect me. I am not "getting into it" with her anymore. I see her when I have to, no more, no less. With my mom's condition, I don't want to have any more problems. When it comes to my sister, I know what time it is, and she knows I know, lol. I have kept my distance and I think she just is trying to goad me into getting into it with her. Not happening. For NY & Co, you just need to show your teacher ID, so if you have an Id of some kind, they will take it. I got 15% off! I think it is normally 10%, but they increae it for back to school. I get all my clothes there. I loe that they have pants for talls :). I don't have to get my pants hemmed or look like Urkel, lol.

Deb- My sister is very overprotective of her kids. She is not malicious with them, not that I have seen anyway. However, she rarely goes out, so her kids are not used to being outside. They live in a basement apartment (her mother-in-law's house). It only has one small window. When we are all at my parents' house, my nephew wants to play his video games inside, my boys want to play baseball and go in the pool. My nephew doesn't have very good social skills either. He is a bit awkward. He tunes her out, it seems too. My brother is a character. He actually treated me yesterday! Paid for my ticket, popcorn and milk duds, lol. Now that is a first. I've always been close with him. I used to save my babysitting money to buy him toys. My kids love him too.

Amelia- the movie was great. I love all teh Skinnygirl drinks. Have you tried the Cosmo?

Okay, I will bbl,

Kristin

Hey girls,

Workout is done.

Lori - I love iced coffee (not with ice cubes, like they sell in Starbucks). With a scoop of vanilla ice creme and a littel whip cream, yummy). Now I want one! LOL! Makes totaly sense, about the running pants! Gotta stay warm. I will start a STS rotation in a few weeks, wonna join me? HInt, get STS from your sister, lol. I also think it's great your sis is your best friend.

Kirstin - wtg, getting great results from your rotaiton. Now I get it, wasn't thinking about that....arr. I would have done the same thing, not eat anything. So sad, how some family can be? My sister is a piece of work too.. I will keep my distence from her...that's all I can do. And like you, I don't want to fight. I am getting to old for that. LOL.

I will be back in the morning. Good night, everyone~

Workout is finally done, its been a busy day for me and Im exhausted. Decided on an UB mix for about 30mins. I rocked out to some of my favorite tunes while 'pumping iron'...hehe

This morning DH and I did a little shopping. ( Well I shopped, he kinda just stood around ) I found two pairs of work pants and some shoes. I tried on about ten pairs before deciding on some Sketchers Tone-up Run...the're quite comfy;)

ok, i will bbl :) Got to go cook some breakfast for the next few days. I made some good southwestern stlye chicken for supper earlier. Made two lbs of it and its already divided up into baggies in the freezer:cool:

Hi,

I did yoga today. I had off today but ran way too many errands. Costco was one of them, can easily get lost there! When I was driving around I had to move out of the way for so many firetrucks wouldn't you know it when I get home they were a few houses down but it looks like it wasn't anything big or bad.

Belinda - Now your iced coffee sounds really good!!! It's funny I was checking out the Butt Bible w/o's put it on my Amazon wish list but never got around to ordering. BB's are around 30 - 40 min.

Lori - There is not going to be room in the bed for DH when he returns:eek: Training the girl will probably make your days go quicker.

Kristin - One time I was doing total body weight w/o's alot & noticed results too . . . will have to fit them in. It sounds like you had a fun time with your brother so nice of him too. How's ds?

Amelia - Your feet must be so happy:) sketchers are comfortable.

Cookie - I hope your sinuses feel better. Are you preparing for DD to go to school, after labor day right?

Goodnight:)

Good Morning:)

6:30 seems to be the baby's new wake up time:confused:. DS use to wake at 5:30...so this is a little better.

I'm a little sore from yesterday's workout. I also went heavier the I have in the past. I think today will be arms, abs and cardio...just unsure of which order and what workouts. Today is the last day DS has soccer (not that he's went lately) and today they have games and pizza for the kids. I'm hoping to get DS to go. He also has his last appt with the behavioural specialist this afternoon. So I need to fit my workout into his bust schedule. I'm not concerned about soccer though.

Belinda** I never use to like iced coffee either. I was buying them regularly until I checked mcds website and found out that they were higher in cals then I thought!:p Not to bad though...I don't think they are 200 cals but I hate drinking my cals. All I drink is water.

Kristin** sometimes it doesn't matter if people are family or not...if they are toxic, their toxic and it's just best to stay away from them. Sounds like you are ready to get back to work:D...lol. Even though I am wishing my time away so we can move on with our lives, I can't believe the summer is almost over. I think I would have found it long if I didn't have the kids to keep me occupied.

Ameila** sounds like you had fun shopping. I think that's pretty much the case with all men....they watch while we shop. It can't be a whole lot of fun. I know I don't enjoy watching DH shop....lol

Deb** yeah I am thinking about taking on a couple of people just to make the time pass faster. I would only want to go with people I know though b/c I'm still not set up like I would like to be. Although there shouldn't be any kids around b/c I plan on training while DS is in school so it would be just the baby.

Alright...I will bbl to report my workout.

Lori :)

Good morning,

I will do IMAX3 after my coffee.

Lori - how do you make your ice coffee? Nothing wrong sometimes to have something sinful like ice coffee:p I also drink mostly water. Good job going heavier on your weights. Have fun with your workouts today.

Amelia - having 4 adults in the house, I hardly have any food left for another meal. Yesterday I made Beet soup, they all loved it. I thought I had some leftovers for today. Your chicken sounds delish! How do you make it?

Debbie - that ice coffee is easy to make and delish;) You can find all 4 workouts from the Butt Bible on youtube;);) You find some really good workouts for free on youtube.

Hi Cookie and Kirstin.

I will be back later. I also need to do some yoga.

Hi Girls

We didn't get to soccer, mainly b/c the baby needed a nap. I will have to make it a point to run out later and drop off his jersey though. He doesn't seem to be to bothered by the fact he isn't going.

I got my workout in early though. I did 20 mins on the tm, DWP, and threshold ladders (which is a 20 mins spin workout...not easy). Then I did 4DS shoul, bics and tris...that's when I realized that my UB was still tired from Monday's workout! Lol. I would still like to fit abs in at some point today.

Belinda** enjoy your workout! I don't make iced coffee...I go through the drive thru so who knows what's in some stuff!

I have no plans today after DS's appt. I don't know what we will do...

Lori

Good evening,

IMAX3 + 2 mile walk w/the dogs +10 min abs done:D

Amelia - glad you found some shoes. I like Sketchers. Good job on your UB wo.

Lori - how long did you work out today? Holy Crap, that's a lot. Now you got me thinking of iced coffee...need to make some this weekend!

Hi Kirstin, Cookie and Debbie!

I will be back in the morning. Need to cook dinner.

Hi everyone. I just finished MMA Fusion. I was supposed to do this one on Monday, but Monday ended up being a rest day, so I made it today. Today was rough. DS ran a high fever at 4 in the morning and he was having labored breathing. I panicked and thought it could be West Nile because there are cases of it popping up around here and we were outside at night on Sunday. We all have mosquito bites. Anyway, to make a long story short, took him to the doctors this morning, three hours later we find that he has a virus and the heavy breathing is a combo of his fast heartbeat (due to high fever) and a touch of asthma. I am giving him medicine every few hours and he seems to be doing a little better. The worst part is he was supposed to have a playdate with this girl he likes from school and we had to cancel. He was devastated. Poor kid.

While the boys were napping I was lesson planning and getting my materials ready.

Belinda- love IMAX 3. Nice job! BTW I cannot drink iced coffee.. . only hot coffee, even on the most humid day of the year :p

Lori- Wow, your workouts amaze me!!! The summer flew that's for sure. I think it went by faster than usual because we had such an awesome summer. Between Disney and baseball and great times with friends, it was a great summer. Cannot complain. Kids make time go by so fast.

Deb- It was really great going to the movies with him and the fact that he treated was just such a nice surprise. He really is growing up :)

Amelia- I'm interested in the chicken recipe too :). How's your foot?

Cookie- one week to go for me. It is a crazy to think the "marathon" is starting again in a week.

Okay, good night all!
Kristin

Hi,

I took spin class today the gym is empty everyone must be on vacation . . . I had the choice of any bike LOL. The weather this weekend is supposed to be beautiful.

When I'm working I get ice coffee out or at home I use flavored coffee which I put in the refrigerator, soymilk & stevia. Not as exciting as Belinda's:eek: Lori I know at Dunkin Donuts you can ask for less pumps of the sweetner to save on cals, I do one pump instead of 2.

Lori - That spin workout sounds hard do you get it off of the internet? Behind us is a soccer field just started hearing them practice the other day around here it starts in the fall. Do you have soccer in the fall too?

Belinda - I'm going to have to check out the Bible Butt DVD's on you-tube, thanks! Great job with IMAX 3.

Kristin- There have been lots of families clothes shopping in the mall this week. It sounds like you'll have it all together for the 1st day of school. TG ds didn't have West Nile I've been hearing alot about it can see why you were worried.

Hi Cookie & Amelia

Goodnight:)

Good Morning:)

Not a good sleep last night. I don't know how many times the baby was awake...I lost count:mad:. He was doing so good sleeping through the night and now he's back to waking up again.

I'm not sure what workout I will do today. I will probably start early again to have it out of the way. I am going to my parents house this weekend. I may wait until Sunday sometime though but I am debating tomorrow evening when DD gets off of work.

Belinda** my workout sounded longer then it was. I guess it was 90 mins or so. The cardio wasn't quite an hour. I had myself thinking about iced coffee yesterday too:rolleyes:

Kristin** I guess mothers instinct is right. Although around here it's usually fathers b/c I will sit on stuff longer then DH. We never rushed to the dr when I was a kid but DHs family must have cause they are always going. After DS had pneumonia when he was 2 , DH didn't take any chances and everytime he spiked a fever he was taking him to the dr and for the most part he was always right. I hope your little guy feels better soon!! I'm glad I haven't had a sick child since DH left! The baby keeps rubbing his ears but it's only when he's tired. He doesn't have a fever so I haven't been worried about it.

Deb** what an uneventful spin class! No one fighting over cell phones or bikes! Ha! The workout is a mindy Mylera one, I think you can get it on amazon. The workouts are only 20 mins long but they are tough...as tough as you want to make it I guess. Even when I ease up a bit it's usually still tough b/c I'm tired. I always save it for last though cause my legs feel like jelly afterwards.

I will bbl to report my workout. I'm hoping to get together with a friend today to break up the afternoon. My summer babysitting is coming to an end. Today is my last day and apparently his mom is coming for the whole month of sept and then they are going to fl in oct for 2 weeks so I don't know if I will have the girls that much over the next little while. My sister also comes home in about 4 weeks for a little while, she leaves again around the end of oct and before ya know it, the end of nov will be here and I will be off to see DH graduate! The first troop member was sent home yesterday. He was an older guy, in his 50s. He ended up with a chest infection and wasn't well. I don't know if he decided it wasnt for him or if they sent him home. I think he was having trouble keeping up. But he is also a surgerion so I don't think he'll starve or anything.

Lori:)

'Morning!
Belinda, my dh makes ice coffee like you do. It is probably the only time he uses whipped creme. Isn't there a Butt Bible book? I think I remember that coming out a few years ago.
Kristin, TG it isn't West Nile. Hope the cutie is feeling better now. All our staff comes back next Wednesday, but I've been working with mentors and new teachers last week and this. You have had a great summer and that will help to make it a better year. The breaks during the year are like water breaks in a marathon.
Amelia, glad you got new sneakers. How are they feeling? My dh thinks of shopping as a drone operation, I think. Find it, get it, get out. Do you still have the chihuahua?
Lori, an unused gift card? That heat from the other day must have gotten to you. I agree with Deb, training will help the time go by easier. I found it was hard to get the kids out of the bed once they thought they started getting used to it. Of course, we only had a full-size bed at the time, and it was super cramped.
Deb, TG the fire wasn't bigger. Do you find errands wearing or is it only me? All that in and out of the car and running around tires me out after a while. DD leaves a week from Sunday, the day before Labor Day. She's busily packing up everything it seems. She's so excited. Not sure if it is b/c she's the youngest, the only daughter, or just that she's so easy going, but we all are going to miss her a lot. Didn't feel this way about the boys, sad to confess. How was yoga?
Did some yoga myself this morning. My sinuses are still bad and it has been such a hectic week, I'm trying to be easier on myself. Couldn't get online last night again so couldn't check in nor could I order any more baking supplies. And the free shipping ended last night! Hopefully the deadline will be extended. Now that I took the class I'd like to keep at it. Going to the County Fair this evening with friends. Not expecting that to help my allergies at all.
Cookie

Morning, just a quick check in before work.

No workout yesterday, I had planned on doing something after work but work ended up being a double shift:confused: our closer had a family emergency and I couldn't get anyone else to come in so a stayed three more hours then closed the bakery down and went home to my babies.

Looks like everyone got some good workouts in yesterday. I plan on doing a circuit after work today....

TGIF Everyone:D

Morning girls,

I will do STS M2 W1 (I think D28?) today.

Kirstin - nice job on MMA Fusion. My husband has problems too drinking iced coffee, not me. I am scared too with with West Nile virus, mosquitos love me. Wishing your son a speedy recovery.

Debbie - I have to try your ice coffee one day. Just type in Butt Bible on youtube, that's it. I found lot of good workouts on youtube. Love the ab workouts on there.

Lori - sorry about your baby keeping your up all night long. Try to get a nap, if you can. My workouts was around 90 min. Good job.

Cookie - that's the only kind of ice coffee I like, it's so good.. I never heard of a Butt Bible book, but I am sure it's out there. I remember Aleisa beeing so excited to leave the house, I was crying my eyes out. LOL! Hope you feel better soon. Have fun tonight.

Amelia - hope you get your workout in today.

Have a wonderful workout and day, everyone.

Hey everyone. Just finished AB. I was supposed to do AT, but I realized that I did that one last week. AB kicked my butt last time to the point where I was feeling dizzy, I wanted to give it another try. Also thought it would be the better choice to combat the pizza I had last night :p.

DS is doing better. I am keeping him inside today to keep him resting. However, he is running around inside the house, and then hacking up a lung. His fever is gone though, which is great.

Tomorrow is my anniversary. 12 years! It is also my friend's wedding, so I am very excited for that.

Belinda- my DH will only drink what I call "girly" coffee drinks, such as mochachinos or whatever you call them, lol. I can drink coffee black if I have to, lol.

Lori- I hope you have a better night tonight. Babies have a way of tricking us. Once we think it's going to be an all-night, they sleep through it. When we think they will sleep peacefully, they are up all night.

Amelia- do you get overtime at all for working extra hours? If so, that's a plus. What workout did you end up doing?

Cookie- water breaks in the marathon indeed. I am trying not to be to edgy, but I feel myself getting anxious about everything.

Deb- I was reading that there is another case of West Nile in my town, so that freaked me out. No more evenings going night-swimming or late bbq's.

Okay, I will bbl,

Kristin

Hey girls,

I walked 2 miles + did 30 min yoga (same as on Monday) + D15 and 10 min stretch w/Cathe.

Kirstin - Happy Anniversary!! I also love a good mochachinos. The stuff you get here, doesn't taste the same as in Europa:eek: The last 2 weeks I am very homes sick. I miss my German food.

Waving Hi to everyone else.

I will be back in the morning. Good night, everyone!
