Commit to get fit & lean for August!!

'Morning!
Belinda, glad you got your dvds and already broke in CF. Love that one - what an adrenaline rush when done. The third time I did it my blue band snapped!
Amelia, anytime there are the movements going from a vertical to horizontal plane, like in burpees, not only does my lower back feel it (guess I need to hold in my abs more) but I get light headed. I think I hold my breath unconsciously when making some of those movements which could cause it.
Kristin, I stopped into the library yesterday also. Only to get a few books for myself. How was the baseball game? Your rotation looks really good.
Lori, hope you're enjoying the time with dh and the travel went smoothly. How did ds react to seeing his dad?
Deb, that was a long day and you managed to squeeze in a workout also?!! The girls' day part of it sounds like fun anyway. We were going to leave today, but since we're getting the floors done while we're away, we are still packing and moving furniture out of the way. Think my dh is kind of annoyed with me for working yesterday so I didn't have more of it done. That plus I still have to take work with me. But then it isn't like he won't be taking some with him. Gotta pay for the cars, college, laptop, and other expenses.
Going to do turbobarre and hopefully css today. Or it could just end up packing and moving stuff. Tomorrow is travel to the Outer Banks! Looking forward to getting there.
Cookie

Good Morning:)

Little sleepy right now. This time difference really sucks. We didn't do anything last night cause Stephen went to sleep at 7....and so he should have cause it was really 10:30 for him. And then he woke up at 4 cause it was really 7:30:confused:. But he went back for a nap and now he is awake again but dh is still sleeping. I think when I finish this coffee I will head down to the fitness center and get a run in. I don't know what the plan is for today. It will probably involve shopping.

The baby was really good on the way here. He didn't cry at all on the flight. I don't think the people that were sat next to me we're real thrilled about sitting next to a baby. On my first flight the lady I was sitting next to was already I. H seat, I had the window seat and she wouldn't even get up for me to get in my seat. She made me crawl in over her with the baby and a big diaper bag. Her connection was canceled...served her right...karma! Then on my second leg the guy sitting next to me was so big that he was over flowing into my seat...which made nursing even more challenging then it already was. The baby kicked my table tray and spilled my water on him....Both of them only acknowledged the baby after the flight was over and they realized that he didn't cry. 3rd leg I sat alone....:)

Belinda** glad you enjoyed your new workout. I really like both of them.

Kristin** that is a good cal burn. I only get that when I run for a long time. I need it after yesterday's junk but I didn't have long enough stops in any airports to grab anything! I was eating all bran bars up till I got here and then when I waiting in my hotel room for dh I started devouring the treats his family sent him :)

Ameila** I really like AB. I usually turn it into a circuit using the TM.

Deb** sounds like you had a lovely day...despite looking for dead people! Lol

I may check In again tonight or tomorrow. I don't plan on being on the go the whole time I'm here. Its just to much for the baby.

Lori:)

Hi,

Last minute decided to do a Jari Love todal body workout after pulling out a bunch & changing my mind. It's a really hot day here but not complaining because it's still summer:)

Belinda - Good luck with your painting today.

Kristin - That looks like a really good rotation. I haven't been it the mood to do a rotaton since I can't make up my mind day to day.

Cookie - Wow, that's a lot of work to do before vacation but you will be getting a w/o moving the furniture & back again when you return. Have fun on your vacation!

Lori - It's amazing the baby was so good with your having to switch planes 3x's! Kudos on getting your run in. Enjoy your time with DH. Do you have to switch 3x's on the way home too?

Amelia - What are you up to?

Have a great weekend:)

Good Morning:)

Had a good day yesterday. We did some shopping, nothing for myself of course..picked up most of DS's school cloths and a couple of outfits for DD. I would like to get DS some sneakers and a coat and then he will be done. I have to go back to the mall though b/c they didn't remove one of the tags on the shirt I bought for DD...and I didn't beep when I went through the doors either:confused: We went out for dinner last night and then back to the hotel and put the baby to sleep. Had a pretty relaxing evening.

I did 30 mins on the TM and 15 on the elliptical yesterday morning. I will probably do something similar today. The baby is up and fed and DH is still sleeping...it's not even 7 a.m here yet.

Cookie** I think we posted at the same time yesterday. The baby had the same reaction towards DH as he does everyone else. He smiles at everyone. And he will only stay with him a certain amount of time before he wants to come with me. I don't know if it's b/c he thinks he is a stranger or b/c he just wants to be up with me.

Deb** yeah I have to switch planes 3 x's again. I have a little longer wait in each airport but nothing serious. The only thing that could go wrong is for a flight to be canceled and for me to be stuck dealing with luggage and a baby! That would be a nightmare! But theres a big enough gap between flights that I shouldn't miss any. It was closer on the way here. I only had 30 mins between flights and I was a little stressed that I might not make my last connection.

Gonna head to the gym again when DH wakes up. Enjoy your day everyone!

Lori:)

Morning girls,

I did S+H Bic + Tric/abs last night. Today I will finish up w/S+H legs/shoulders. Not sure, what I wll do next week.

We only got the celling done yesterday. Ended up in Home Depot for more paint, since I decided last min ...I wanted to change the color in the living room/ceiling. LOL!

Lori - glad you enjoy your time with your husband and your travel went smoothly. You went shopping and didn't buy any Lulu? Did you order XTrain yet? WTG, getting your runs in.

Debbie - good job on JL TB workout. I feel the same way about rotations, can't make up my mind!!

Hi Kirstin and Amelia!

I will try to be back later.

Hi all! Started my rotation today with STS TB. Oh my. This is the first time I did this workout, even though I bought it at the RT last year. I printed out the workout card, but some of the weight was too heavy for the cadence of the set. For example, I was supposed to do 27# for squats, but found my form suffered trying to go as fast as Cathe. So I lowered my weights for a number of the exercises. I was still sweating all the way through. I love tri sets. I think it gives you that cardio factor while building muscle. Anyway, as you can see by my rotation, this is the only weight workout I will be doing this month, along with a few circuit type workouts here and there. I figure by week three I will try to up the weight to where the workout card says I should be.

We are lounging by the pool today, lol. This week is DH and DS birthday. They share the same birthday. So Thursday is their birthday, and then DS has a party on Saturday. Eating cake for sure this week, lol.

Belinda- Nice workouts! What colors are you going with in the living room? I am always so picky about paint. I like bold colors, but I am afraid to put them on my walls, lol.

Lori- Your baby sounds like an angel. I have heard that the third child is always the easiest. I know the feeling of going on a plane with small children and the looks some people give you. As if you do not have the right to travel if you have a little one. That's why I had my younger DS where his Mickey Mouse ears on the plane going to Florida. Something about Mickey Mouse and children makes even the hard-hearted come around and even give a smile, lol. I was thinking the same thing as Belinda. . . shopping and no lulu for you?

Deb- it was so hot and humid yesterday, but I had the same sentiment. . . it is still summer. Gotta love it! My cousin teaches in Florida and they are back in school. I cannot even imagine. Then again, they finish in May.

Cookie- the baseball game was great. I tis so cool to see these boys improve their skills throughout the season. They played like champions on the field and encourage each other. So precious. Hope you are having a good time while away. don't do too much work!

Amelia- how's your weekend going?

I will bbl,
Kristin

Hey girls, just finished Cardio Super Sets. Fun workout. Challenging, but fun:eek:

Lori- I like going shopping but I really like when its for myself ;) We had to go get school clothes + supplies last week. Fun stuff.

Belinda-LOL at changing the paint, ive done that too and DH wasn't thrilled about it:rolleyes:

Hello to everyone I missed. I will bbl for more personals. The kids are hovering again:rolleyes::mad:

Good evening,

Besides paining, I didn't do anything else today. Oh well! Will get my shoulder workout in tomorrow.

Kirstin - I found in STS TB that I had to lower my weights too. Not enough rests between sets. Don't push the weights if your form is suffering. Happy Birthday to your husband and son! Well...I went bold. I will post a pic once the room is done:eek:

Amelia - nicely done ton CSS. Funny, how guys are with a little color. DH at first wasn't to crazy when I mentioned gray. Once in the store, he loved it! What color did you picked? I am pretty bold when it comes to color.

Need to relax, I am beat. Very happy with the color in my living room. Very modern! Love it!

In my living room. I been playing around with the idea for gray (not a light gray either) walls, even DH likes it! It looks awesome, IMO! Now we have still have to do the trim and the windows. I also have to steam clean the carpet.

Hi Girls:)

DH is gone for a run before dinner and the baby is napping so it's a perfect time to check in. I ended up running outside today. I just went in one direction for 3k and when I turned around to come back I did a few of the st's. I would do about .50 k down and then turn around so I wouldn't get lost. So it ended up being little over 10k. I ended up in a residential area with old people walking around so I figured I was safe! Lol

We didnt do much today. DH has to get certain things done in the run of a week so he had to get an hour of weights in today. While he was doing that the baby and I napped. After that we went back to the mall to get that theft tag taken off of DD's shirt. We will be going out for dinner when the baby wakes and DH is finished his run.

Belinda** there isn't a lulu close by!:p DH offered to take me to the next city where there is one but I don't need anything and sticking the baby in a car seat for 90 mins each way wouldn't be ideal considering all the beating around we've been doing. But I'm sure if there were a lulu here I would have bought some. I haven't ordered xtrain yet but I will!

Kristin** the only people who acknowledged the baby was an older couple across from me...but the mean lady was sitting between us and a mother and son on the last leg. He was giving them all kinds of smiles. Other then that no one really spoke to either of us until the flight was over! I'm actually getting a knot in my stomach thinking about the trip back. I'm hoping the flight isnt full and I have some room to myself. It's tempting to buy an executive class sit just so I have my room but is it really worth $300? And the baby is good...it's just everyone else who has the issues!

Ameila** I'm not a big shopper believe it or not. When we went back to the mall I wanted to buy some shoes but where do i go to wear shoes? No where. Would be a total waste of money and by the time I got to wear them they would probably be out of style! Nice workout. Good job on keeping it up.

I will probably be back again in the morning. I think DH will be leaving us tomorrow to go back on base. If not he will have to get up at 4 to go back. I kind of wish I was leaving him before that. This place isn't the easiest to get I and out of. I'm not sure how I will manage all of my luggage in the airport and the baby. I also have two car seats b/c my car seat was delayed so I got a new one to use, which I get to keep , plus my other one showed up.

Have a good evening everyone!

Lori:)

Hi,

I did B&G today. We also went to my in-laws pool today before the storms hit. At the food store today someone asked me where my accent was from. I should have said England or a Southern accent (love those accents), it kills me to say Brooklyn. I'm guessing it's here to stay:rolleyes:

Belinda - It's so hard to pick paint color, it's great though that you can return them. I've seen that darker grey color & love it, bet it's looks great.

Lori - I feel for you, but don't hesitate to ask for help if you need it. Sometimes people are in their own world but would help if you ask. It's good that your gaps are bigger between flights.

Kristin - That is a good workout now you'll have to add it more often, your right about the weights.

Amelia - I still shop for supplies for home during back to school it's so much easier to find & cheaper.

Goodnight:)

Morning,

Im up with my coffee and its soooooo good;)

Today's plans are work then were taking the kids to a new park that is about three miles from my house. I read online that the 7 miles of hiking trails are completed so I can't wait to go explore.:) bbl

Good evening,

Ok, I made up my mind on a rotation, I will do Cathe's Aug rotation. Like how she mixed all the workouts up. Should see nice results too. I will do LIS today. Haven't done that one in ages.

Debbie - I had no idea you can return paint?? The color we picked is darker grey color & love we it!!

Lori - don't hesitate for help, that's there job! No hulu, lol. Remember you don't NEED anything anymore, lol! Who am I kidding, right? lOL!

Amelia - have fun hiking the trails today. Sounds like a fun.

Hi Kirstin and Cookie.

I will be back tonight, still have some paining around the trims to do.

Good Morning:)

I'm with Amelia....this coffee is so good. And accidentally ordered a large instead of a med....I'm sure I'll manage to drink it.

Thinking I'll go for another run today. It's a holiday so I thought everything was closed but it's not. I went to buy myself something yesterday and I still haven't. I was gonna buy some shoes but then I remembered that I don't go anywhere! No wonder I buy so much lulu....all I do is workout and take care of kids.

Belinda** DH told me the same thing...ask for help, that's what they're here for. I havent checked out the new rotation. I think I am going to keep doing what I'm doing but I need to start running longer distances if I'm gonna do a half in oct.

Ameila** have a good day with the kids!

Deb** our accent is pretty thick too. A lot if people think we are from England or Scotland. And I don't know why I try to hide it. It is what it is!

I may bbl.

Lori:)

Hi girls,

I did my workout before lunch. I did LIC, fun stuff!

Lori - I feel the same way, all I do is workout. I don't need all those cloth or purses:rolleyes: In Germany, I changed my purse out every week, now I hardly change them. I have a lot off purses, like you have Lulus:p I was thinking selling some of my purses. Like you I stay home most of the time, I don't need so much stuff anymore. LOL. WOW, Oct is almost around the corner, your half is here before you know it. I wish I could run in that heat, but it's killing me. I can't do it, my HR goes to the roof in that heat. I do love my coffee too, at 2:30 am I ask my husband if he made coffee...he couldn't sleep his back was killing him. LOL!

I will try to check in tonight. see you all later!

Hi everyone. Just finished my workout- LICH plus AC Yoga-based abs. I have some nice lower and upper body DOMS from yesterday's workout :).

I am very happy these last two days because we have finally been ableto put both DS's down at night, kiss them goodnight and leave their bedroom with them still awake. I know that sounds like a normal thing, but both DS's would not go to sleep unless one of us was lying next to them. So every night DH and I would stay int he bed with one DS until they were both asleep and then leave, hopefully without waking them up. My older DS and I had a long talk about it, and we set up a rewards chart, andthen my younger DS (who always wants to do what his older brother is doing) wanted in on the deal. The first night (Saturday) was a little rough. I had to go in every five minutes for reassurance purposes. Last night though, I only went in three times to "check-in". I am thinking tonight will be even easier :D

Belinda-did we do the same workout? Or did you do Low impact Circuit? I always get those two confused now, lol. Either one is a great workout! Definitely post pics of your paint job when you are done.

Lori- executive class for $300 with two stops might be worth it. . . that's up to you. If I had the money, I'd go for it ;).

Deb- I think it would have been hilarious if you said England, lol. That would have thrown the person off for sure. Hahahaha. I plan on doing STS TB twice a week for this month. Curious to see what results I will get. I guess you had the same issue with the weights?

Amelia- how was the park and the trails?

Waving hello to Cookie?

Kristin

Hey girls, after work I did 4ds HIS - I fell out on the floor afterwards.

Belinda-LOL at you selling some of your purses. Purses are my weakness. OMG...love them!!!! I have to look at them whenever we go out. About the paint colors, my kitchen is in a banana cream color and we went through two different paint samples to get to that color:confused: DH was done after we bought that last sample, LOL.

Lori- So...did you buy you anything? I desperately need more workout shoes...maybe this weekend. Have a good run.

Kristin- Congrats on the bedtime success with your boys! Im sure it gives you and your DH a little relief too. I remember when my DS was a baby we had to little pat his diaper and rub his back in order to get him to go to bed.

Deb-I would love to hear your accent. My southern 'twang' isn't going anywhere either. LOL. I remember when I met Belinda...loved her accent it was so cool to hear her talk. :)

Cookie-hope you doing good and not working to hard.

ok, thats it for me gals.

'Evening!
Belinda, bet your living room looks amazing! What color is the ceiling? I have too many bags also.
Amelia, did you hike those seven miles in the park? Banana buttercream sounds lovely, especially for a kitchen.
Lori, 3 changes - where the heck did you fly to? We used to have to travel back and forth to Taipei a few times a year and that was an ordeal with little ones. Your dh is right - ask for help. Hard to believe you didn't find any lulu.
Kristin, glad to hear the boys are still enjoying baseball and doing well with it. Congrats on the success of your bedtime routine. That will be a big help to you once school starts. I also had to decrease my wt b/c of the cadence of tb. Your dh and ds have birthdays the day after me.
Deb, we're having a storm here that seems to be decreasing the heat and humidity. Did it break for you? Honestly, I didn't even notice your accent! Moving that furniture was a lot of work and am dreading having to move it back when we return. Hopefully the floors will make it worthwhile. It was so humid on Saturday.
Walked five miles on beach and did a tb barre workout.
Cookie

Hi,

I went to the gym and took a pilates class, there is such a dread factor for me with pilates use to be yoga but I think when yoga is cardio based not anymore. All this talk about coffee the other day I tried Dunkin Donuts iced mocha almond (all those commericals got to me) & it was so good . . . just afraid of all the sugar & calories:eek:

Belinda - I always wonder if painting is relaxing? Just don't leave any $$$ if you sell those bags;)

Lori - I hope you had an easy trip today. I would love your accent. Lulu must be so comfortable when your with the kids.

Kristin - I can't believe you or DH didn't end up falling asleep with the boys. I was reading where Cathe said how important it is to mix up your workouts to get the best results.

Amelia - I would love your accent too! Belinda has a great accent!

Cookie - Why does it seem you can walk/run on the beach forever. Can you imagine if Lori lived on the beach:eek: The heat & humidity did break tonight it looks like your going to have a great week . . . enjoy!

Goodnight:)

Good morning,

I will do LM today. We had to put another coat on the wall yesterday, those walls soaking up the color? I looked at the walls this morning and they look great. Today we can start on the trim. My son and DD will come this weekend, still have lots to do.

Debbie - LOL, about my accent...couldn't lose it if I tried. lol! Now all my $$$ goes into the house, not purses. I never got into pilates either. Like yoga, weird?

Cookie - the gray is called: antique tin and the ceiling is called aged phachment. Looks amazing together. Love it.

Amelia - it's not even funny how many I have, lol. I guess, it's my weakness too.

Kirstin - sorry if I confused you yesterday, I did Low Impact Circuit. Good job on the bedtime success, kids are funny.

I will be back later this afternoon. Have a wonderful day and workout, everyone!

Good Morning....not really but I'm being optimistic here!

Yesterday was absolutely terrible. I think I cried more yesterday then I have since he's been gone. I was afraid this trip would set me back...I don't think it will cause when I get home I will settle into the normal routine that is my life. If I had my time back I would have left yesterday. It was hard staying in the hotel room by myself and all day I felt like we were putting off the inevitable. He didn't leave until 10'ish last night. He had to go back to the base and he still had work to do. I won't be sorry when I'm actually home. He left his computer for me so I could workout if I want to. Im debating it but I didn't sleep well and I haven't eaten since 2 yesterday afternoon.

Belinda** Nothing like a freash coat of paint on the walls! It always makes me feel like I have a new home. Enjoy LM today....it's such a good workout.

Kristin** I can relate to the sleeping issue! It wasn't until I was pregnant that I stopped lying down with DS. He will ask sometimes now and since DH is gone and I have nothing else to do in the evenings, sometimes I will lie down for a few minutes. They didn't offer me an executive class seat when I checked in online, Im guessing there is none available.

Deb** Sounds like you enjoyed your pilates class!! I may have to order some lulu to cheer me up!:D My friend gave me a lulu gc for my bday too!

Cookie** Ugh...it was such a long flight. The first leg was over 3 hours, the 2nd almost 3 hours and the 3rd almost an hour. Im dreading the 2nd leg today b/c Im on a bigger flight with 3 row seating. More people to crawl over if I need to use the washroom. Hopefully I will sit next to someone super friendly. I find it hard not talking to anyone all day. I wish the kids were here with me!

Ameila** Didn't buy anything for myself. I looked..but didn't see anything that caught my eye or that I loved so I didn't bother. Maybe I will buy a few things the fall.

Is that it? I think Ive caught up with everyone. I think I am just gonna hop in the shower and start getting ready. I shouldn't push it with a baby cause one never knows what might happen.

Lori:)
