Cookie and Kristine...whats on tabs for today?

bbl girls:)

Morning Amelia! I’m also hoping for a walk today, but am being a major wimp at the moment. My husband just returned from a run, and he looks like he went swimming. It is so humid, I’m sweating just sitting here. I will get out once I’m done here. Want to try some of the racewalking techniques I learned from the other evening. See how long the dogs hold up with the humidity. My golden usually can go forever, but humidity does her and me in.

Amelia, I did MM again on Friday and commented on it in the thread. Yesterday I finished up the abs from it after doing the blasts from IM2.

Lori, how’s the weekend going?

Belinda, the get ready for summer rotation does sound good. Thinking of doing it also. It would be great to do it together.

Cheryl, you’re always on the cutting edge of new ideas! What a nice day for you and your daughter. After all the boys, I’ve discovered the joys of having a daughter, and I love it! We went shopping the other evening and it was a lot of laughs. Not when I saw the amount on the ol’ plastic though.

After w/o yesterday went to visit my MIL and had a four-hour car ride each way. Discovered my sciatica did not like that at all. So it’s a walk and possibly even that four-letter word (yoga). I wish I didn’t have such a negative mind set against it.

Have fun!

Amelia, sorry I forgot to suggest BC/ME as the addition to your collection. Both are great workouts, and there’s an awesme premix of both. Plus why should the rest of us suffer Terminators without you?

hey girls, just popping in to report my workout!did an hour dogwalk and MM abbs(couldn't do all those jack knifes though )plus i added in some banana holds.

Cookie-Great job with mm on friday! It wasn't too humid out this morning, luckly it was fixin to rain so it was cool and windy. How did your dog walk go?

Belinda-i just printed debbies rotation! on the days that she calls for step,i will pw and dog walk.may do one step a week, And just sub whatever i dont have! Im excited! I wonder why she works UB twice a week and LB only once a week? I do see a circuit in there though, maybe thats enough to work LB? Anyhoot,im still excited:7

Anybody care to join us? Heres another copy of the rotation...

ok,talk to you guys later!

hi, everyone!

Amelia, thanks for the invite, but I'm committed to finishing out one last 28 days of Warp until the Road Trip... after that, who knows... sure hoping STS is issued by then :)

Today was Warp cardio. 4 fast TM intervals, 30 min steady state cardio. I'm thinking of adding on abs and StretchMax2 to call it a day.

Cookie, yes, I'm still liking the diet, but I'm modifying this 28 days just slightly to allow just ONE starchy carb serving per day (calorie count the same). I seem to last better and get through my workouts better if I can have just one starch serving a day and helps keep the cravings at bay. One of the most buff runners I know - a guy who lost 75 pounds - accomplished the majority of his leaning out by lifting weights and limiting himself to starch at just one meal a day, plus his running program. He looked great.

Belinda, that rotation sounds so much fun. Woo hoo!

Lori, where are you this morning? Hope everything's okay.

Amy, I hope you're having a wonderful Sunday!!

Cheryl

Okay, Belinda, I’m in! I just checked out tomorrow’s w/o, and its LIS/HIS Upper Body. I usually do upper body on Mondays, so that’s great. Amelia, are you joining us?

It was too humid here to walk. It looked like a steam room outside when I started. My husband said I was trying to kill myself and/or the dogs, so I used the treadmill, and the dogs watched from their bean bags. Even with the air conditioner running on high, I ended up with a headache. Think the humidity was just too much and it is a small, old room air conditioner. Only went 6.5 but spent most of the afternoon trying to cool off. Or at least that was excuse for not doing much else today. Of course, I did manage to watch the Euro Cup. Sorry Belinda but I was rooting for Spain.

Cheryl, that’s interesting about the man and his weight loss. I really do think weight work is a huge part of the equation, much more than cardio. And of course clean eating.
Wonder what affect not doing much cardio would have on his running, though.

Hope Lori and Amy are having a great day. And that Kristine’s computer gets fixed soon.

Cookie - in this case, the fellow was also doing a full marathon training regime. He actually ran a 3:05 marathon in spite of being muscular enough to look like a bodybuilder (generally not ideal for distance sports - the muscle is heavy and takes energy to carry along)

Anyway, when he showed me a before picture of himself I was shocked. In a good way!

Cheryl
