Deb- Wow...what a story! Thanks for sharing, though. Well it looks like everything turned out for the best,eh?? Everything I made yesterday, the recipes came from somewhere different. The chicken I got online, the dirty rice is from Helene's cookbook (I screwed it up....didn't let it cook long enough. :mad:) And the salsa came from a book called Eating Well through Cancer. It was strawberry salsa...it was phenomenal! I wonder if I should share that recipe......it's not a book most people would come across.... So did you go out again last night?

Amelia- I still make sandwiches too! For lunch! Definitely.....I dont' have home cooked meals for every meal, hell no. The good thing about cooking for me, is I don't have to do it every night because I have so many leftovers. I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing. :confused: Thanks for the info on Rodney Yee....I'll probably go to Wal mart tomorrow, if I see it I'm going to try it! So how was Walmart yesterday? Nuts? did you end up doing HSC?

Helene- So I"m guessing you got everything straightened out with your team? Or did you end up flying solo? Yeah....my fruit intake will be minimal and before noon on low calorie days, and I will enjoy a bit more on high calorie/maintenance days. Forever now, I've had a banana at 2:00 when I'm at work, like clockwork. Now what am I gonna do?? lol Celery............damnit. So do you have Holy Grail? If not....I've got it!

Ok today's workout.........whatever cardio I feel like doing. I"m thinking 4DS Kickbox and HIS. So my lowerback/sacrum area was sore yesterday!! I don't know if it was Jillian? or if it was those standing abs with the R rated moves!! Or both. I'm thinking both...and my obliques felt it too..... Makes me want to try newer workouts now, just to shock my body, and try and learn something different. Ok...BBL

Iris, lol at referring to it as the Holy Grail. I'm going to skim it over again today, but I'm not doing the challenge. No way would I ever post photos of myself in a bathing suit! The recipes sound good.
Helene, you are my hero for being so brave to post photos. I recorded my stats on a log for myself so it's a start. Hope your dd is recovered and no one else gets sick.
Amelia, I'm also a homebody and my dh is even worse. We used to be very social but then got very busy with our kids' activities and stopped going out much. Now we're only half as social as we were before. It is hard to break out of my shell to feel comfortable meeting new people. Plus, I have to talk and listen a lot for work, so often I just want quiet when I'm not working. I did HSC yesterday - did you?
Deb, thanks for sharing. Your dh is definitely social! You guys are always going out. Were you anxious before seeing your friend?

Trish, are you doing Deb's summer rotation? I'm back to it again and today was BM2 cardio. What did you do?
Today we're moving youngest son to Boston for the summer - leaving as soon as I post. Saturday was dd's sectionals for track. It was so hot and humid. Even got a sunburn. Back to working out feels so good.

Hey Girls!
Checking in with one sore set of legs! I won't bother with personal cause I need to read them and I'm not at a computer. Just thought you guys would like to hear about the race.

I started out strong, which was my first mistake. I should have found the 3:40 pace bunny and stuck with him. Instead I was cruising along, thought I was doing ok..until I hit that wall, which was shortly after the half way mark. Then by the time I got to the 28k mark my legs were on fire. I had to take multiple stops and walk. I lost a lot of time by doing this. Next thing I know the 3:40 bunny passed me, then the 3:45 bunny passed me and I thought there's no way that 3:50 bunny is passing me. I probably set my sights to high and I shouldn't have expected so much out of myself. How do you know what to expect when you've never done it before? I think if I had stuck with the 3:40 bunny the whole way, I would have made it. I know its not a bad time and I placed 48 out of the women my age and 193 out of all the women and I would imagine there were atleast 2500 women there. Then...my running partner ran pass me. I'm not going to lie, this was tough on my ego b/c I am the faster runner. All the mistakes she made the 1st time, I made yesterday. She wanted to know if we wanted to cross the finish line together but I couldn't keep up with her either. By this time my legs were on fire!! So she went on but only finished 45 second ahead of me.
I feel good about it though. I accomplished something I never thought I would. And believe it or not..I am looking forward to the next one!!
We are pcking now to head home. We don't leave until 6 pm so we still have all day to roam around.

Would someone be able to copy this and post it on the Damage Control thread??

Cookie- Holy Grail is the name of the book! I swear! LOL Have a safe trip to Boston! At least you have good weather. Wait, is this the same son that was in Mexico??

I just finished a decent cardio workout. I'm liking my mish-moshes. I did All Step from CTX, HIS, and the bonus Cardio from LIC. Burned 445 cals. Then did some dance abs on Exercise TV, with some more R rated moves. lol

Morning girls

Today im starting that FF summer 2010 rotation, well the generic breakdown of it. Today is carido so i plan on getting on the treadmill with coach Sean;) thinking ccv5. I really need to do some abb work too, really slacking lately on that.

Lori-Sounds like you had a proud finish to the race! Congratulations on your time! 193 out of 2500 women is an amazing finish!

Iris-I love leftovers, although they can be haunting to me,LOL. I get to were i start questioning storing them because i don't want to end up throwing them away and having to wash a storage container:eek: Nice workout today

Hi girls,

Trying to fit in a pilates workout with this bar thingie I purchased in Target. I need to hurry because I have to go BBQ at my in-laws:) We stayed home DH even tried to get me to go for ice cream but I took a rain check.

Iris - Great workouts it's funny how when you try different workout your sore in new places:) Are you working today or BBQing?

Lori - Awesome job, I thought you would be crawling today your legs must be on fire. I could see why you would want to do it again cause now you know what to expect.

Cookie - What a day to be traveling. I guess it could go either way light or heavy. I was nervous meeting my friend and her family.

Amelia - Sounds like a good rotation and a perfect day to start:)

Busy day around here. Got to supervise the slip and slides so noone gets hurt ;) I did RS this morning. It was nice to do that one again. :)

Hi girls,

I got released from the hoptial Friday night:) We took DD to DC, tomorrow DH and I are driving back to GA. I have an appointment with the ENT doctor on Wedenesday. The way it looks we will fly back to Germany on June 9, depends on the doctor. Haven't worked out since last Sunday. Since we already missing our flight on June 1, DH and I will go down to Florida for a few more days! At least we have a few day vacation:eek:

Howdy ladies,

This has been a horrible eating weekend for me....I couldn't get a grip on my sugar intake (I won't go into detail on how much I ate, but know that it was BAD!) I have an appointment with my dietitian this week. Something has got to give. Will hopefully be in better spirits tomorrow.

Lori - WTG on that race!! AMAZING!!

Will catch up on personals tomorrow.
