Good morning girls,

I had a good night sleep last night! I slept for 6 hours without waking up once! I making another appt. to see a doctor tomrrow! My ears are still not 100%! I am almost out of my meds! LOL! Workout wise I think I still will take it easy! Maybe for cardio I will take a 30 min.walk or do a yoga DVD? Yesterday Dh and I went school cloth shopping for our niece (she is 12 years old). My sister doesn't have a lot of money! We bought her 2 pairs of jeans, 2 very cute winter and a winter coat! Cassandra likes Hanna Montana stuff and I was suprised I found some stuff in our PX here in Grafenwoehr! It was a lot of fun! I really hope she likes it!

Belinda-how sweet of you to go school shopping for your niece! I also had some help with school clothes...my mom,mil and my sister! It feels good to know that in these hard times,family is there to help. Im sure your sister appreciates it! Glad to here your taking it easy today with your workouts! Let us know what the doctor says!

Today is GS legs(ugh)i hate doing LB! Im not sure if iam going to go heavy with it or not....i usally lift around 55lbs? Ive read several different threads on this forum and some aricles on how if your an hourglass shape you should take it easy on your LB during weight lifting? mmmmmm,im still skeptical because ive lost alot of weight by lifting what i lift! Of course i haven't lost any 'real' weight since march of last year!

I may sign up for the nutrition manager this week! Lorie, Cheryl...how are you liking it?

Amelia- What were the reasons for not lifting heavy if you have an hourglass shape? I'm just curious......

Morning Iris-well,the articles that i read said that most hourglass figures gain muscle easily and can tend to bulk up in the LB. so using the heavy weights isn't a good idea? The article(and also a book ive been reading)states to use low/moderate weights with high repititions. It also says that step isn't good either for HG figures! I have been struggling with my LB for a while now and just recently ive been seeing slight results from just walking,jogging rather then doing step(i miss step so i will put it in every now and then....Cathe's step workouts are just too much fun to do without).

I emailed the author of escape your shape and told him my measurements...he later replied and said i was an hourglass shape!

Wow...what a chatty bunch today! And its only 9:30 here!!

I had a good nights sleep last night. After 2 night shifts I needed it. DS started talking in the wee hours of the morning so I figured it was gonna be another night with him up half the night.
I have a busy day ahead of me today. Tonight we are having my sister baby shower, so we have to get ready for that. Plus, I want to get a long run in. I didn't bring my stroller with me and now I have to wait until DS goes to bed. There are no sidewalk out here and it makes it kind of hard to run with a stroller with traffic zooming by.

Belinda** How sweet of you to buy your neice some clothes! I have to take DD shopping for school clothes yet. I don't think I am gonna buy to much though b/c she already as more then enough. Enjoy what ever workout you decide.

Ameila** Ha! I haven't used the nutrtion tracker in a couple of days. This is why I don't sign up for yearly things.How did the job interview go? When will you hear back?

Hello again everyone! I ended up doing the Upper body circuit premix...I already did B&G this week, with leaner legs on tap for tomorrow...so I didn't want to totally exhaust myself.

Gidget- I hope you can get your run in!!
Amelia- how interesting about the step aerobics too!! And no it's not tmi at all! I will be reading some articles now.......

Iris-Ive heard alot about leaner legs,there are so many Cathe workouts that i wont its hard to choose sometimes,LOL! Great job with your UB circuit premix...how did you like LIC? I love the music in that one. Glad to hear you liked the link....it IS interesting isn't it! Im gonna try using lower weights in my LB for a month and see what kind of results i get? Ive already measured last week so keep you fingers crossed for me:)

Lori-How is your sister doing with the pregnacy? I forget,isn't she having twins? I just love baby showers....have fun! LOL,at you about the nutrition manager! Im still on the fence about purchasing it, i may get frustrated and say the hell with it;) About the interview...i think it went well,I think i may have a good chance...i guess it really depends on who she interviewed and there experience,i don't have any medical administrative experience but i do have just the typical clerical experience! ....I would just DIE if she called me back,LOL. They will make there decision with in the next two weeks she said! Either way i will get a phone call or email!

OK,GS legs(standing only:confused:) is done,i also did some core work! I went light in my weights,i think i will try it out for a month and just see what happens! But my UB weights will stay the same!

Iris** Good job getting your workout in!

Ameila** My sister was having 2 babies but now there is just one there. She was o.k with that though. The other baby didn't amount to much, just a sac so it wasn't as if it was fully developed or anything.
Its nice to get a call either way, its just nice to know. I hate when I have had interviews and you wait patiently for a call back, only to find out from someone else who actually got the job! So irritating!

still no workout for me! I took a nap after lunch and didn't wake up until 5 p.m.:mad: I slept for 4 hours!

Lori** WTG on your run as well! Have fun at the baby shower tonight! Is the MM hard to use? You should use it, girl!:D Glad you had a good night sleep, it makes such a difference!

Im back from my run. When I left the house I didn't plan on going for a long run b/c DS was awake and there seems to be alot to do around here. With that being said, I don't know why my mom is in such a tizzy! She isn't even having the party at her house, so I don't know why she thinks that the house needs to be spotless and laundry done? ANYWAY...I was having a really good run so I kept on going. I love running out here b/c there are so many hills and I don't get to run hills very often. On the way back a lady stopped and said "at the top of this hill there is a moose..just wanted to let you know"! Thanks lady! LOL I kept on going, I never did see the moose. There were people stopped looking at it, but I couldn't even see it. My run was about 70 mins long but I don't know how far I went.

I may be back later, if not, chat with you ladies tomorrow!

Lori, sorry to hear about the other baby. It still must be hard for your sister. Hope the baby shower went well. You probably flew past that moose so quick he never even saw you.

Amelia, any news yet? I always hate waiting to hear back on things. I haven't read either of those books you mentioned. Did read Sara Gruen's Water for Elephants, though, and liked that. One of my sons came home for a couple of days(!) and brought four friends with him. The friends brought two dogs along. Then they all went out to the movies last night and left the dogs here, along with our own four. Guess my aggravation over it all must have affected my sleep 'cause I was awake for a few hours in the middle of the night. The good thing is I almost have finished another Janet Evanovich book during that time. It just is doubling frustrating since my husband is away and I was looking forward to a great sleep without his snoring.

That's real interesting about the body type workouts. I am hourglass too. What about UB, are supposed to do light weights, many reps for that also?

Belinda, how are your ears today? Did you go back to the doctor again? That's very generous of you to help our your sister's family. It is so expensive getting school supplies, and then the clothing!

Oh Cheryl, wish I could be 100% with the nutrition plan.... It has been holding me much more accountable, but I still need to not deal with frustration by eating. Only a little off, though, so it is an improvement. I'm going to use you as inspiration for being much better.

Iris, how are you doing?

Well, today was a racewalk day, and it felt good. Frustrations melted away and it should help with sleeping tonight. Off to watch the Olympics for a few hours.
