Commit to get fit and lean for Nov. 19, 2009

Good Morning!:)

I didn't go to bed very early last night:mad: And has soon has I did...I heard the pitter patter of little feet. Luckily, he went right back to sleep. I don't know why he woke. I went in and checked on him and made sure he was covered up and he didn't move when I was in there. He heard my dad up and he crawled out of bed @ 6! So we are both sitting here. He is watching the wonder pets while I am sipping coffee and typing.

This not eating at night is getting easier and easier. Most nights I am a little hungry when I go to bed but who needs food when all your gonna do it sleep?:cool:

Today is day #2 with people under my feet! I am going to make some cookies today and do some paper work to keep myself busy. 5 o'clock should be here before I know it.

Cookie** Hope you get your workout in early! I love getting moving first thing in the morning cause its always nice to have it out of the way. The guy that is here really doesn't have anything to do with me. It has more to do with the fuel in general and thats they guys stuff.

Belinda** Have a good workout!

Good morning

I took a rest day yesterday, had to deal with a flat tire, the third flat tire in two weeks. We had to buy two tires last week when my kids left a glass cup in the driveway and we ran over it. I guess it got the third tire as well:confused:. Then i had to deal with NO WATER:mad: apparently the neighbors had a leak.

Well, all is well now so for the next four days i plan on getting in a cardio and all of the 4ds weights. Im thinking LIC timesavor then 4ds shoulders,core & calves.

Lori have a great workout!

I am fried:eek: I ended up doing PS warm up + legs/floorwork (got a nice burn) + stretch, PS chest, shoulders/triceps/stretch + PS Back and biceps/stretch. I think I am done for today!;)

Off to the shower! I will be back for personals!
 
Good Morning Ladies

Well as it turns out, the cartilage surrounding my sternum is inflamed, due from strain/overuse of the upper body. :( So all it means is ibuprofen for a few days and no lifting :mad: As of yesterday morning I didn't even feel comfortable enough to do cardio, but I'm definitely feeling a bit better today, it doesn't hurt to breathe like it did yesterday! I"m thinking of doing Step Blast/SJP cardio circuit.

Belinda- Great workout today...love the PS series.

Amelia- Wow..that's a lot of flat tires!! And then no water...yikes ... I'm so sorry......sounds like a hell of a day! Hope you have a great workout today!

Lori- We're not sure how many more treatments......I think it's as many as it takes until something really kicks in and works.... So did you fit in your workout this morning?

Deb- Ok don't be mad at me .....but LOL....I"m so sorry..I needed that laugh about the 1/2 inch....I've definitely heard of that happening before! I think Cookie is right, the appliance co. and cabinetry people are in cahoots! I know it's not as funny because it's only a week until Thanksgiving, but I'm sure it will work out!! ****Hugs**** to you, your oven, and your fridge. ;)

Helene- What time do you do your workouts at night? I saw that you did one the other night when everyone was asleep. Well this new treatment she's on doesn't have the same side effects, which is a good thing. And I haven't seen my guy since Saturday....I'm hoping he has gotten the message after blowing by him on my way out of work Sat. I'm surprised you girls arent' sick of me talking about it! lol

Cookie- So did you decide on Plyo legs? How did your meeting go? You know, I never did get caught up in traffic the other night...but I did yesterday on Central Ave. at 5:30 :mad: I swear you can't be anywhere at 5:30 in this city................lol
 
workout done as planned, my shoulders were talking to me,lol. Total time was 1:03 and 501 burned.

Iris-Im glad you were able to find out the problem,that is a relieve in itself! Enjoy your cardio today...

Cookie-Im reading another good book. Its called 'The Help' by Kathryn Stockett. its so good. Have you read any good books lately?

Hi Girls!

I am left alone for a few mins...and Im sure it will be just that..A FEW! I am feeling rather lazy though, I have to say. I could use a 15 mins power nap right about now. I need to get to bed earlier tonight, although, I don't have to workout tomorrow morning cause Im off!:)

My workout was 5 miles long and the first 3 seg of HST. Good workout. DS was there all along. He was stood up next to the TM at one point with a toy in his hand and I knew exactly what he was thinking. He wanted to throw his toy on the TM and watch it roll off! LOL

Belinda** Phew...good job with that workout! And you guys say I am the energizer bunny!? I have a friend that is on house arrest and if I were on house arrest I know what I would do all day long...workout! LOL

Ameila** Ugh...you didn't have a very good day yesterday. I feel for ya! Good job with your workout!

Iris** Hope you feel better soon!

Good morning girls,

Since I froze my gym membership, I'm going to start Charlean xtreme since it is only collecting dust. The installer is sending someone tonight to fix my oven problem. The supervisor I spoke to was really nice and loved my "brooklyn" accent:rolleyes: He promised me I'll have my oven by Thanksgiving:confused:

Belinda - Enjoy your full body workout today:)

Lori - Not sure how you bake cookies and have so much willpower:confused: When my oven is out of the garage, I think I'll bake some cookies to test it out:)

Amelia - Ugh, what a day your having:( I bet you can't wait till it's over:) Lots of calories burned today!

Iris - I need to laugh about this too! Have some plan "B"s in mind just in case. It's amazing how they found out so quickly what your chest problem was.

Cookie - I was thinking your DS must be glad about the car. Didn't he want you to get a new one? Good luck with the meeting today:)

Helene - Are you doing the 3 or 6mo STS rotation?

Morning/Afternoon!

Belinda: Nice workout. I can't recall ever having done a full body workout like that. I'll have to try it someday (after STS). I went to the Gym last night by the way. No TC :( but had a great workout notheless. I have my eye on trying the Arc trainer next time.

Amelia: Sorry your days are a bit stressful. I wish we could all live in a bubble of happiness. I guess that's why I like yoga. :p But your workout plans sound nice for a day like today. How long were you without water? When your shoulders talk to you, what do they say :eek: or :confused:?

Iris: Glad that you know what is wrong. Did they say how long you should let it heal? I hope you can do your cardio without too much trouble. My workouts have been a bit unregular lately. The other night I started at 8:45 PM and yep, everybody was already asleep. DH had barely slept the night before and he was done! Last night I went to the gym a 6:45. I'll probably workout out tonight if I can. I much prefer doing it in the morning. That way I know I have it done and I am invariably in a better mood. Plus in the evening I often lack courage. :eek: Wouldn't you know it but I was stuck in traffic not far from you last night on Washington extension due to a car accident again.

Lori: Nice, it looks like DS only thought about throwing his toy on the TM and then thought better of it :D He is starting to figure out when not to mess with mommy maybe? Glad DH helped you out as well. I am always at mine to tell me when he's got stuff to do. I don't mind that he does, it's the telling me at the last minute expecially when I have a workout planned that really gets to me. By the way, my colleague from Labrador is married to a Lori from Newfoundland.

Deb: I am doing the 6 months rotation, but I am a bit behind. I am probably a week or two behind schedule. I try to keep at it as best as I can and I think I am still reaping the benefits. OK, I'll confess I laughed too about the fridge and the oven :eek: Sounds like something I could have done.

Cookie: I hope your oven is good. It sounds like you did an awful lot of work on the house this year. There is always tons of work to get done on these darn houses. Yes, I think we do like some of the same cardio. In the ring is slow, but by the end, my HRM tells me I got a decent callorie burn. So I save it for days like monday where I have low energy .... good for TTOM.

I went to the gym last night and had an awesome workout. I am so jazzed! I haven't run in FOREVER. Seriously, it has been years and I was never great at it. Last night. I ran 3 miles in 30 minutes including warm up and cool down. I was at 6.0-6.3 m/hr most of the time and ramped it up to between 6.5 and 7.0 periodically. I am in much better cardio shape than I can remember. I also think my legs are a lot stronger from STS. I about halfway through meso 2 at the moment. Otherwise, I also went on the eliptical. I pushed myself quite hard and was dripping sweat, Belinda would have been proud even though there was no TC! After that I went to an "athelic yoga" class which wasn't athletic but was a really nice stretch after the workout like that. So all in all a great evening. Not sure if today is going to be a rest day. I'd like to think I can find time to do BM2 scrambled eggs tonight but I will have to see about that.

Debbie, I was surprised the gym is open here too. I am glad, get a nice sweat in before the big day. WTG on your FB workout yesterday. I never did Charlean Xtreme for 30 days, need to check it out. Have fun with it! Glad you get your oven fixed by TG!

Nice run yesterday, Lori! Amazing workout today, girl! LOL, about house arrest! Well, DH isn’t home, so I can work as long as I can.

Helene, the workout I did today was long, lol! If you have the time, go for it! Holy crap, you did a lot of cardio at the gym yesterday. WOW! How many cal did your burn? I bet you burned 800 – 1000 cal yesterday. That is an amazing run you did yesterday. ^^^^5’s!

Belinda: LOL. I don't have the calorie burn for yoga, but it said I only burned 335 running and 340 on the elliptical. So I barely make it to 700. But that's plenty good for me. The gym is open here for Thanksgiving as well but only from 8am to 11am. Not sure I will go.

Belinda, PS always gets me good. Have any doms? How long did it take? I'll have to try that sometime. Oh, I can do it right after this Nov rotation before the Dec comes out. It really is that I just want to be like you. Going to one of my sister's for Thanksgiving. She just got over swine flu, so my DH is resisting going there.
Lori, my DH forgets to tell me a lot of things - it really pisses me off when he says he's leaving to go out of town for a bit and I've counted on his help with chauffering! He used to travel a lot, now not enough. what cookies did you make?
Amelia, sorry your shoulder is bothering you. I can easily relate. What did you do? Hope you get water soon. I can relate on the car repairs. My DH needed a new thermostat (mucho bucks), we need tires on the other car, and then I hit the deer. All in one week. Can't figure out if I should just finally dump the car or try to make it thru the winter with it.
Iris, the traffic and idiotic drivers are crazy. People drive like they are playing speed chess. Take it easy. A few days w/o cardio might be a good rest for your body, particularly with all the other stress you have going on.
Deb, glad they're going to take care of the oven situation. When our fridge went, we had to take off countertops, cut down cabinets, and it was a mess. I think appliances are getting larger. So what's the menu for Thanksgiving?
Helene, I'm impressed with you keeping up with your wo with little ones. That's really hard. If I didn't wo in the am, it never happened. And BM2 during the wk? That's a weekend or holiday one for me - it's on my calendar for this weekend actually.
Got 32 plyo legs in this morning! Love that cardio rush. Just made the Alton Brown recipe for choc chip cookies. Kept wanting to taste test the batter, so thought I better come chat with all of you so I would stop. Today my left shoulder was sore and was really surprised by it. Finally figured it out, I had a heavy bag on it for most of the day. Boy, maybe plyo does something to my few remaining brain cells.

Cookie, sorry to hear about your sister having the flu! PS took me close to 2 hours; I did stretched a lot in between. Holy cow, do I have DOMS in my butt, I have also some in my UB. You have a lot going on. (((HUGS)))) what is your husband saying about the car? How did you like the cookie? LOL! WTG, on D 32, I’ll bet your HR went up on that one, lol! Never done a pylo legs wo.

Iris, I think taking a brake from cardio is a good idea.
