Commit to get fit and lean for June 1

Good Morning Girls!:)

Its good to be home:D DS wasn't as excited as I thought he was going to be. I think he knew I was coming home though b/c DH had trouble getting him to sleep last night and when he woke up, he yelled out to me. Apparently he hasn't done that since I left ( I find that hard to believe).

So guys....I think I have found a new passion! It wasn't torturous...but FARRRRRRR from easy! But b/c I couldn't physically push myself at the end I didn't feel the urge to throw up. When I want to throw up is when I think I never want to do this again. I will definitly be doing the one in Toronto in Oct that I registered for before this one.

I need to come up with a rotation to do now and I think I would like to buy some new workout dvds.:D Just not sure which ones but I am thinking of stepping outside cathe! Ick! I have all of her weight workouts so there is nothing for me to buy.

Iris** They have this race every year. Sat was the 2k family walk and the 5 and 10k race. Then Sun was the HM and FM. I am not sure how many people did the 5 and 10 but there were 11,000 that did the HM and 4700 did the FM. There were alot of people around.

Belinda** Why were you in the hospital? I suppose I could reread everything I missed the past couple of days!!;) Im surprised DS is even letting me get on the computer.

Trish** I am cutting back on my sugar as of today as well. I won't be working out for a few days so I really don't have a choice! LOL

Helene** Thanks for the congrats!!

Ameila** How are things going? You didn't check in yesterday. What happened with the insurance and stuff after?

Deb** Hope you enjoyed your bbq!!

Cookie** Hope you arrived safely in Boston!!!

Thanks again for all your support ladies. I thought about you guys numerous times while I was running. Maybe its what got me over the finish line before 3:50!:eek:

Good Morning Ladies

Today I will do D38? Squat Rack Legs. I don't know HOW, though. I laid out in the sun yesterday, and kind of fell asleep. I couldnt' reach a big portion of my back with the sunscreen and I must have just forgotten about the backs of my legs. :eek: I am burnt to a crisp....*sigh* How am I going to wear the weighted vest? And the friction of squatting against any material isn't going to be comfortable. I can't even imagine the shower.....:confused: I thought about subbing cardio until tomorrow, but it's damn humid out, and our forecast is just "Thunderstorms" today. I'll sweat buckets and buckets, and I'm not feeling that today.

Belinda- Have a nice walk today. Glad you got to go to DC with your DD! Didn't you think you were going to miss that because of being in the hospital?

Amelia- lol @having to wash the storage container. There's been things I've left in the fridge so long, that I just threw out the damn thing. LOL It hardly happens, but sometimes things just get "shoved" to the back of the fridge and forgotten about. :eek:

Lori- Is the one in Toronto an FM? So what kind of dvd's are you thinking of buying? I don't really know much about anyone else.... Was this the first time you've been away from DS?

Deb- It was a work night for me last night, but I obviously got some sun! :confused: Hope you enjoyed your BBQ! How was the weather for you guys this weekend?

Trish- It looks like we're all trying to get off the Sugar Train. ;) It's like cocaine. :confused: I'm not giving up flavored creamer. I need to draw the line somewhere.

Helene- I'm going to go pm you back right after this. lol Aren't you back to work today??

Cookie- Where was your sunburn?? Are you still red and hurting? I think my skin color has permanently changed.

Well it's nice to have today off and have nowhere to be! I think I"m going to get some stuff done around here today, and then head down to my mom's for the afternoon, and then off to the market. After today the rest of the week/weekend is non-stop. :rolleyes: BBL

Hello again....checking back in with D38 Legs done and did Travel Fit abs and stretch.

Well for BFFM, today is day 7, and I've lost one pound and I think the accumeasure moved EVER so slightly....lol It's actually kind of hard to tell! One more day of lower carbs and tomorrow is a higher calorie day. I'm doing a 3:1 ratio, with the exception of this weekend...I'll go Thursday/Friday at low cal day, and Saturday at high cal, because I gotta be on point on a big race day. Then right back to it on Sunday.

Helene- Yeah it actually took me a minute to do personals today! had to catch up with everyone! Exchange emails?? Isn't that taking it a little fast?? :p :p

Morning, my are we chatty this morning...love it:D

I never did check in yesterday after my workout, i did CCV5 and it was so fun...i really miss doing those. Think i will do at least 1 cc a week. Then i did some core work...

Today is a full body. Im thinking about doing that MM UB Push/pull premix then 4ds legs, my favorite leg workout because there is no low-end pulses:p

My DH left a note on the wipe off board this morning( a way we will communicate sometimes when our hours don't match up) and it said " Hey babe, I'm starting my diet with you tomorrow"! Im not going to get too excited or push him too much but it would be nice to not have to sit through his night time eating or buy snowballs:p hehehe

Belinda-How was your walk? Yay on the few more days in Florida, that sounds so nice and relaxing. Enjoy your self and glad to see you back!

Lori-Good for you venturing out of the Cathe dvd's...Cathe is by far my favorite instructor but sometimes a girl needs variety. Any idea's on what your going to buy?

Iris-Sorry to hear about your sun burn,ugh..nothing worse. Got any aloe Vera? It really does soothe the ache of it. Hope you have a good workout. yeah, i get those 'pushed-to-the-back' storage containers all to often:eek: Luckily my freezer isn't that big so i can't stuff a lot of leftovers in there,lol. There is just something about throwing away perfectly good food that drives me insane:confused:

Helene-Nice workout! Yeah, i always have fun with Coach Sean..how can a girl not?;):D:p I did notice that my endurance has increased which rocks! I honestly think its Cathe's step workouts that do that...

Debbie-How was your workout yesterday! What kind of stick thingy did you purchase for Pilates?

Trish-Hugs. I keep telling my self that i need to find a good dietitian but i never do. Have a good workout today!

Soooooo...I have some great news!!! (Kind of ...I think).....I got my first client today! This guy that my Aunt knows(she works for UPS, and apparently this guy comes in a lot) owns a business (in Brunswick, for you locals ;)), and the guy who owned the gym next door got out of it, and this guy bought it. Well my Aunt told him I just got certified, etc etc, and he said "yeah I've heard from I need one of those personal trainers".....but he knows everything about business, and nothing about fitness. So to make a long story short, I went and met him and his gym today, and he wants to get this off the ground. But it's kind of the blind leading the blind, because I have no experience yet, and this guy has no idea what ACE Certified even means....lol However, I'm convinced we can help each other out. It's like a clean slate for me, this gym. But he needs help administratively too...and I said I could/would do that if he hired me as an employee, but not if he took me as an independant contractor. SO...he's looking into some things, but for now, I am training the actual owner AT his gym, starting Monday....how crazy is that???? This gym is ALL machines and free weights, though. No barbell....one stability ball....(I told him he should consider at least one of each size...lol), 3 medicine balls ( I told him he should consider lighter weighted ones....the one's he has are 10 and 12 lbs....) So, needless to say I'm scared AND excited. :eek: :eek: Ok I'll be back in the morning with personals! But I had to share the news! Have a great night!
 
Evening ladies,

I took several deep breaths and have stepped away from the sugar ledge!! I am meeting with my dietitian tomorrow to get her input, but the more I think about it, I probably really need a shrink. I know what the hell to eat, I just go over board on stuff I know I should be limiting (sometimes when dealing with challenges, other times just because). So....I'm going to ask my dietitian for a recommendation. Anyway, the sun was gorgeous and I felt good today and ate like I should. I did iClimb 9(40 min, 5.76 mi) this morning. My HRM needs a battery change so I don't know the cal burn, but it felt like a good wo;)

Belinda - Glad you're out of the hospital. Are you still in the US?

Lori - Doesn't it feel great to find something new you are passionate about??!! Glad you enjoyed the race :) When is the Toronto race? Which rotation do you think you'll do? Have you ever tried any of Jari Love's DVDs? I have had a few of hers since last year and believe it or not, I have never done ONE!! Cathe has me spoiled:(

Iris - DAMN!! I'm not giving up my creamer either! I drew the same line a few years back and am sticking to it. I tried fat free creamer two weeks ago...YUCK! WOOHOO!! Congrats on the PT job! I can't wait to hear about your first client :)

Helene - I have the same book in my office. I need to pick it up and read it again. I downloaded a bunch of diet/fitness podcasts based on suggestions in the OD, but haven't listened to them yet. Nice job on your wo this AM!

Amelia - Nice job on MM and CC5. Don't hate the low-ends...I swear they are bootie-changing for sure!!

Cookie & Deb- Hope you ladies are doing well.

Belinda, hope you're doing better! That was a long time in the hospital. What part of Florida are you planning on going to? Did you and Amelia ever meet up?
Lori, that's incredible time. You are fast and determined. I've put Tracey Staehle's new kickbox dvd in my cart so many times but haven't clicked check out yet. I find most other dvd just sit in their cases except for Cathe and YogaFit.
Amelia, nice job with Sean. We leave notes on the kitchen island counter! I hate cleaning out the refrig and the freezer -ugh!!! They're science projects.
Iris, that's exciting! Good for you telling him you'd need to be hired and not as a contractor to do the admin. So will we have a new d_? My burn is on my arm and chest. Didn't even notice it at first but it's obvious I was wearing a necklace and where I skipped sunburn on my arm. How did you do with wo?
Helene, I've got that book and should have read it earlier this evening when I hit the Lindt 90% dark choc. I used to have a book entitled If I'm So Smart, Why Do I Eat Like That...? If only I practiced what they said instead of just purchasing them.
Trish, did you read what I wrote to Helene? You and I sound very much alike with our eating habits. Did ME this morning!
Deb, lots of traffic yesterday but a beautiful day for the ride. It was the son who was in Mexico who moved to Boston. He got a summer internship - paid!!! How are your boys doing?
Did ME this morning. Those low ends and repeating step ups always get me. Hoping to get up early enough to do Imax 2 tomorrow morning. Have a very early presentation to do and then a long, long day tomorrow. I was so good with planning my food for the week and then two dinner meetings and a birthday party were added to the calendar. Plus I have a retirement party to attend. So what did I do? Modify the food plan to reduce calories before events? Plan what I could eat at those events that would be healthy options? Ate part of a chocolate bar? I didn't even think - and that's the problem, just did the choc.
