Hey there everyone. Yesterday was a rest day for me. I went shopping for a dress for my friend's wedding with my mother. We went to the mall first and I could not find anything I liked that was reasonably priced (Macys, JC Penny, Cache, everywhere). Then my mom suggested this store ten minutes away from my house and wouldn't you know it, I found I knockout dress for $100. Plus they do alterations, so for $20 more the dress will fit me perfectly. We should have just went there in the first place. My friend's wedding is on my anniversary, so DH and I are so excited to be going to a party all dressed up by ourselves (our sons will sleep at my parents' house). this will be our first night (overnight) without kids in four years

. I cannot wait!!!!
Anyway, not much going on today. I got up, paid bills (whoopididoooo), made breakfast. I actually made muffins because I have been craving them all summer, lol. Bad carbs, I know, but so delicious. I just finished Afterburn though, so that should take care of the muffins, lol. DS has baseball later. That's about it.
Amelia- Congrats on the scale moving down! It must be so tempting working in a bakery. Sweets are a weakness of mine, for sure. It is easier for me to eat well when I am at work, because I prepare a lot of my weekly meals in advance just to save time and energy during the week. Being home in the summer will lead me to cave in to more cravings because I have time to bake and I don't need to prepare and plan ahead.
Cookie- I'm waiting for an amazon order. I ordered a book on Common Core curriculum maps. I want to start planning and my district will not be giving us any info. until Supt. Conference Day, right before school starts, which in my opinion is too little, too late. What else is new?
Lori- my dad used to be very old school, although he always did the grilling, but now he does much more. My mom has been diagnosed with Alzeihmer's Disease. She is in the early stages, but she gets frustrated very easily and cannot follow more than a few steps in a process (including following a recipe). It's been hard, but my dad has really stepped up to the plate and is taking care of her, and becoming quite domesticated in the process.
Deb- Trisets LB is such a great, wuick, effective workout. I like how it is weights, but also cardio (it keeps my heartrate up that is for sure). I'm impressed you stuck to your food and did not indulge in the pizza. Pizza is a major weakness of mine, lol.
Belinda- I had decided not to convert the garage into a workout room because I felt it was a waste of money, and we wanted to go to Disney World. Now reading your posts, I am regretting it, lol. Enjoy your workout room. you earned it after all those workouts in the RV
Okay, I will bbl,
Kristin
