Today is a much needed rest day........unfortunately I have to work and if it's anything like yesterday we're going to get spanked. The weather is bringing everyone inside from the races. Went dancing last night, and brought my mom with me for the first time! It was so much fun, but I'm so wiped today :confused:

Belinda- have fun with whatever you decide to do today!

Amelia-Nice job with 4ds legs......and you weren't totally voted out ;) I was with ya! Quite frankly though, both ways have their pro's and con's.

Deb- You know, I've been meaning to ask you more about zumba...to be honest, I don't know what it's really all about.

Helened- Sick of the weather yet?? Did you see the sky last night around sunset?? It was kind of an eeeery color I thought.

Trish- Hi girl...(((Hugs)))) to you. How is your MIL?

Morning Commiters(or is that committers?) I don't know...

Ive got some serious DOMS from my leg workout yesterday:D I didn't finish with the calve work and my calfs are still screaming. I also cut some grass and my legs were so tired. DH helped me this time..im glad,didn't want to cut the whole yard myself agian:confused:

Today is suppose to be a cardio..don't know yet? I want to do a step workout,haven't done one in ages.

After i get done with P90X ive decided to do STS, maybe santa will bring it too me;)

Belinda-Any special plans for today?

Iris-Enjoy your rest day, i may be joining you if these legs doms don't let up. Glad to hear you had fun dancing last night with your mom! I haven't been dancing in years, well,except for what i do in my living room with the kids,lol:rolleyes:

Belinda, are you staying home to recuperate from your busy day yesterday? Hope you have a chance to relax.
Amelia, is it 4ds you have the doms from or is it 90? It's hard but often notice my legs feel better after a good cardio leg wo. Please let me know if that's the case with you. You'll love sts - since you enjoy doing weights. I'm waiting for the pullup thing and sts cardio to come, and then can't wait to do it again. Glad your DH helped you with the yard.
Iris, how's your mom doing? Was she dancing also? I have Abba's Dance Queen repeating in my mind now. Course that's better than Dancing Fool, I guess. Glad you had fun, and bet it was wo. Is today your busiest day of the season? Hope it goes well.
Trish, what a good DIL you are to be there for your MIL. How is she doing? Don't you find the waiting around exhausting? Hope you have a chance to relax.
Lori, what are your plans this weekend? Let me guess - running. Has sts had an effect on your running?

Did KCM's stepkickboxing wo on Thursday morning, took yesterday as a rest, and today was 2 power yoga workouts. Have a lot of errands, housework, and work to catch up on.

Decided on Imax2, did about 40mins of it. Burned 408 cals. I was suprised i lasted so long;) guess those run intervals are helping my endurance?

Hey Cookie,awesome job on your power yoga today! I got the doms from 4ds, went heavier with the squats & deadlifts. I really don't like deadlifts:confused:. My legs were doing pretty good during imax2...im sure they will be really sore by the end of the day. The only thing that really gives me doms is heavy weights w/the legs. Sometimes when i run outside i can get some inner thigh doms.Im still deciding on getting my pull-up bar today or waiting until next week, Im starting P90x on monday. im pretty excited about doing sts near the end of the year....

Hey Gals!

I am sooo tired today! What an awful night I had last night. I had to come back to work at 7:30, then while I was back here, I realized that there was another flight coming at 11 and another at 1. When I came back at 11 I decided to stay for the 1 o'clock flight but of course that was delayed until 3! It was 4 before I went to bed, up at 10 and back here again. I am going home in a couple of hours though, thats enough of this place!:rolleyes: Hopefully tonight will be nice and quiet so I can get some workouts in. I plan on doing everything I have missed this week plus a hilly TM run tonight...although when I was talking to DH, DS was napping so that my play havic on my plans!

Belinda** Enjoy your day at home! Its such a yucky day here today. Its raining and its sooo dark outside. Probably another reason why I am having trouble waking up!:(

Ameila** Good job with the DOMS and Imax today! Those are not easy workouts!

Iris** Enjoy your rest day!

Cookie** Nope, STS hasn't affected my running at all. I didn't think it would. I took a longer break then I wanted between the 2nd and 3rd set of dvds but thats all I can do when its summer time!

I may check yesterdays thread to see what I missed. Feeling like I need to close my eyes though! LOL I feel hungover actually!

Morning all,

Well as Iris said, the weather is nothing to write home about. Will have to figure out what to do with the little ones, they don't like being cooped up. At least they are out with DH and FIL at the moment doing groceries.

Belinda: Your rest week is almost over. Are you ready for Meso 2? I am now halfway through meso 1. I can't wait until I get a little more time to set up in between exercises. Meso 1 does move fast at time.

Iris: Yep, that weather is no fun. I am glad you enjoyed dancing with your mom. Do you think you will do it again (I am sure not every week :D). I hope you make it through your work day with some energy left.

Amelia: I will be joining you with leg DOMS by tomorrow I am sure. Completed STS Disc 6 for the second time this morn. Always fun, but man my heart rate seriously went up a few times. I also have my right calf that cramps up easily on me so I didn't use the weights for the calf exercises. I'll try and see if I can have a word with Santa for you re STS. ;) Well done on Imax2. It's a tough one allright.

Cookie: Sounds like you have been really busy. I don't know if you saw my post a couple days ago but I am in the same area as yourself and Iris. Rainy today so I will have to do something fun and creative with the kids. Hoping to go to the Great Escape water park tomorrow if the weather is nice enough. Where do you do yoga? I often go to Heartspace.

Lori: That's a horrible schedule! I hope you will survive today and still have energy to do everything you want to get done. Phew, I'm tired for you I think!

Trish: How is your MIL? I hope things are getting better. It's always a bit stressful to have family in the hospital.

Maudite Deb and Gianna, hope you are all doing well.

OK, did STS disc 6 legs this morning. But I really wanted to shake them a bit when I was done so I did a couple of cardio cycles from LIC with the step at a lower 6 inches. That actually felt pretty good to just move them around like that after what they had been put through. I still can't do a proper 45 degree lunge on STS :( though, I'll have to figure out how to do that one proper, at this point it's more like an elephant lunging.

Hi girls,

No workout for me today. I woke up with a bad sinus headache. Then DH and I went shopping which helped my headache:p Our PX had a huge sale. I spent $ 199 , but saved 240:p:eek:. DH said, if we wouldn't gone shopping today we would have saved $199:eek: :pLOL!

Lori, how long have you been running? Have you always been a runner? You amaze me with your runs. Will you train every day for the next race? Yesterday I was very exhausted from the heat/drive home. BTW, I didn’t realize your dog is 130 lb, that’s a big dog! BTW, your temps are cold. Sorry, your had an awful night. Hope tonight is quite one for you.

Iris, IMAX extreme is a tough one! Great job! Did you run outside or did a CC yesterday? Party girl, glad you had fun with your mom dancing yesterday. Enjoy your rest day. Hope your make it through work today.

Helene, no AC in Germany. Today the temperatures are much cooler, but my sinus are acting up again. I think it has something to do with the weather change? Nice job with SB yesterday. I have CTX and love it! You will like leaner legs. Cathe’s green elastic band is tough.LOL! I am so ready for Meso 2, I am also looking forward for a little more time to set up in between exercises. Nice job with disc 6 and LIC this morning.

Amelia, don’t you hate those leg presses? I sure do. Glad you made it through 4DS legs yesterday. Your MIL is very nosy, lol! I think I went over 500 cal. today, lol! Had cake yesterday and today. Oh, well! When are you gonna start P90x? Nice job on Imax 2 today, nice cal burn.

Trish, sorry to hear about MIL's mastectomy! I will keep her in my thoughts and prayers. Good job on packing healthy snacks.

Cookie, how are you shoulders today? I did relaxed a little today, like I said earlier I am exhausted. I did go shopping today and yes I spent a lot of money. Can’t pass up a good sale, lol. Hey there, Amelia! Thought of you today - I went for a dog walk! Remember when Deb asked you what that meant? LOL It was so humid out, that just walking was a wo. Glad you're doing so good with tracking your food. Have you ever read UltraMetabolism? Jodelle recommended it to me, and I've been using some of his recipes. Tasted really good. Just think you might like the book.
Belinda, I wonder if it could be the change in barometric pressure. Did you have one? That always sends my sinuses on overdrive. Hope yours clears up very soon.
Lori, I didn't think sts had much affect. Nothing seems to slow you down, except of course your DS.
Helene, I know others who go to the center. I just did a YogaFit dvd, which I'm really enjoying. Isn't it strange that the three of us are in the same general area and haven't met. Or perhaps we were right next to each other and didn't know it. Yesterday I stopped in B&N, and there was a woman also looking in the health section - I was wondering if she does Cathe. You never know.

Hi Ladies,

Thanks for all the well wishes for my MIL. She was released from the hospital on Friday and is getting around much better. I stayed the night with her last night and most of the day. Believe it or not it felt a little bit like a vacation since it was just her and I...no kiddies or dh or kitties (did I tell you guys that we got kittens last month...I think that may have been during one of my MIA sessions). Yesterday's wo was D20 and I'm feeling doms in the glutes, hams, and quads...LOVELY:eek: No wo today, but hope to get in some cardio tomorrow.

Belinda - How was your getaway with dh? So sorry to hear your sinuses are acting up again. Did you have trouble before your recent bouts? I hope it won't be with you long term. WTG on shopping today;) Sounds like a great bargain.

Iris - How cool of you out boogying with your mom;) That's something I have to conisder the next time I am in TX visiting my mom...how inspiring! How have you been managing with kicking the nicotine? Is this day 6 with no cigs? I can't keep up. Thanks for the hugs.

Amelia - WTG on the LB doms and nice cal burn from IM2. A co-worker of mine is supposed to lend me the P90X ab wo dvd. He swears it is the best thing EVER!! Will this be your first time following the program? Can't wait to hear your feedback.

Cookie - Sounds like you are having so much fun with Yoga these days. I should receive my first YogaFit DVD this week...two of them are suddenly available on Netflix. To tell you the truth, the hospital waiting was very relaxing for me. It's not often that I am able to just sit and BE. I would do it all over again in a heart beat....That's sad, huh?

Lori - Work sounds like the pits these days. I guess having just the two of you is a challenge. Any word on a replacement for the former employees? Hope you got some rest today before your run.

Helene - Nice work on D6 today and ^5s on adding in cardio on top. After finishing an STS leg wo I can't imagine doing much more. We will likely be cooped up tomorrow due to the rain from Hurricane Bill, but have plans to go to Sesame Place on Monday. The weather is supposed to be great, so that will be nice.

Well, ladies, tomorrow is supposed to be a weigh-in for me, but I'm too nervous to step on the scale. My STS wos have been consistent but I've missed 2 of 3 cardio wos this week. So, to spare myself the heartache, I may just wait until next week.
