Today I will do yoga, take a walk with the dogs and work my abs!

Morning everyone,

Well I didn't get to workout this morning :mad:. I will do it tonight when I get home from work so I can be :eek: (today is disc 5 of STS: tris and back). My DD got up at 2:15 am and by the time I got her back to sleep it was time to wake up if I wanted to work out. I had to catch a few Zzzzs instead so I can function at work ;).

Trish: I hope you weren't up this early like I was today. I am sorry you are having trouble sleeping. I am actually working out more to help me sleep less and give me more energy. I hope working out tonight won't prevent me from falling asleep though. Maybe I'll have to make sure I really tire myself out.;)

Belinda: Your rest week sounds so nice! I'll be sure to tone it done as well when the time comes for me to take that week off.

A great Wednesday and workouts to everybody that comes later.

Good Morning Ladies.

Today will be a run followed by a plyo workout I found on Jamie Eason's website using a deck of cards....pretty cool stuffff....

Day 4 no smoke....yay me...one day at a time here.

Belinda- enjoy your yoga! What yoga do you do?

Helene- I hope you can get your workout in!! How about that storm last night??

Deb- I"m so sorry about your back :( I hope a recovery week and lots of stretching will help!

Trish- Hi girl!!! On a positive note (which is rare for me lately) try and look at as at least we have the chance to start over. That is what I"ve been trying to tell myself! And I got the MRI results friday and everything came back normal. ;)

Cookie- Hope you enjoyed Low Max! Since I can't seem to decide whether I need endurance or strength, what I do is whatever month it is, I go back and choose a rotation from that month,whichever one peaks my interest...lol

Good Morning!

How is everyone? I didn't get as much sleep as I would have liked but I will be able to make it through the day, no problem. I will just go to bed early tonight.

Did I tell you guys that there are only 2 of us girls left at work? When I started there, there was 7 of us. They weren't all full time but there were still tons of us there. Im not to worried about it though. I think we will be fine for the time being, until its picks up and he has to hire someone. In the meantime I should be getting some half decent checks with only the 2 of us there. I can't wait for it to get busy again...he better be ready to give me a raise!


Today I had planned on another run but I had no idea that its suppose to be raining the rest of the week:confused: I will do my run on the TM tonight or when DH comes home for lunch. I also have to do disc 26 but to tell you the truth, I have some DOMS going on from yesterdays DM!

Iris** I had no idea you were a smoker! Good for you. I will keep my fingers crosses that it keeps getting easier and easier!!!!!


Helene** So you do have kids? I thought you didn't have any. How old is she? Its hard when they wake up in the wee hours like that....especially when its hard to get them back to sleep!

Cookie** How are ya? Good job with your workout yesterday! Anything from that dvd is tough!

Morning girls

Today is 60-70mins of cardio. Im not sure what yet...think i will go get on the treadmill agian and do some run intervals and watch Grease 2, i watched Grease 1 yesterday:cool:.

Last night,after the kids went to bed, my DH decides that he wants to watch The Unborn (new scary movie) Well,im thinking " no-way hosa" the trailor to that one scared me:confused: so I go and lay down in the bed around 8:30 and start reading a book. Well,i was OUT about 5mins later:) I feel asleep with the book in my hand:eek: Its nice to get some sleep!

Iris-yay on the no smoking..you ROCK girlfriend...i know exactly how hard it is! Have fun with your workout...interesting Plyo workout, i will have to google it and check it out! Let us know how you like it,im always up for something new...

Hey to everyone that follows!

My son seems to be doing better,i can't remember if i mentioned it but his first couple of days of school wasn't too good. I called the teacher last week on monday and asked how he was doing. She said he was insecure and dependent:)eek: :confused: ) I knew he was dependent, he's my baby and thats my fault...i baby him:eek: But insecure? She said he wasn't participating in class activities and he was extrememly quiet and shy around other kids.

That was last tuesday, this week he seems to be doing better. The teacher left a note and told me he was opening up more, which was a huge relief to me. :) He told me he liked school and he also told me about a song they sang in class...polly panda,so cute:)

Hey Lori...enjoy your workout tonight...high fives on your DOMS! I was hoping for doms today,but none so far. Did the other girls at your work quit or get laid off? I remember you mentioning one quitting but not sure about the others....
 
Workout done. Did 3.2miles on the treadmil doing run intervals and powerwalk/incline intervals then did some Cha Cha with lisa DVD. Burned 502 cals in 70mins.
 
Amelia: Well done on the workout. And yes, glad I got my sleep in. Would have been tough otherwise. And I don't like these scary movies either. I don't like how they make me feel, so why bother? Glad to hear your son is doing well with school. Mine starts this fall as well. I hope it goes well. He tends to be really attached to us as well.

Iris: Yeah, loved the storm, maybe my grass will go back to green. It's getting too yellow at the moment. Great job on not smoking! Yeah. Make sure you tell us everyday what day you are on!

Lori: I got two. DD is 2 and DS is almost 5. They're still at the cute age. DS is asking a lot of questions and whys at the moment, but I am not getting much attitude back. LOL. Wow disc 26! I wonder what the next phases of STS are like? Happy running if you can get it in too.
 
Good morning girls,

Today, I'm going to do a light run. My back feels alittle better today . . . one way to get out of lifting suitcases;). I'm going to pack first. We are bringing one of our DS's and GF. DH wants me to call her Mom and tell her it's a 2 bedroom condo w/2 twin beds in there room and we will have them sleep w/ the door open and see what she says. I feel so uncomforable doing that my feeling is if there's a will there's a way. Plus it's the day before we're leaving:confused:

Helene - It's so hard when little one's wake you up at night.

Iris - Way to go with not smoking. I bet your workouts will be easier:)

Lori - At least you know your job is secure with only 2 of you left. I bet yesterday your heart rate went real high chasing DS during your workout:eek:

Amelia - I'm glad to hear DS is doing better and liking school too:D Perfect summer movies to do with your TM workout.

Trish - Sorry to hear about your sleepless nights:( Did you ever try the vitamin Melatonin?

Hey Gals!

Sitting here in my workout clothes, waiting for DH to come home so I can go for my run:) I wonder how long I will be sitting here for? He is never on time and ALWAYS talks to much! I could be sitting here until supper time!

I have alot done today though. I cleaned out my closets ( i think I got rid of 11 pairs of jeans!:eek:) and tons of other crap that I have been holding onto...just in case I might want to wear it some day. But they say, if you haven't wore it in a yr....get rid of it. I also have dinner ready to go in the oven and I have upstairs cleaned!

Ameila** Good job with your workout. Im not into the scary movies either! I bet you felt like a million bucks after your nice snooze last night! Good to hear that DS is doing better in school, it just takes some getting use to.

Deb** Soooo jealous about your trip to FL! Wish I was going again! How long are you going for? Glad to hear your back is feeling better.

Belinda** Good job getting your workout done!

Helene** Prehaps if you are lucky you won't get any attitude!!!!

Wow! No one as checked in since I checked in last:eek: I did my run ages ago.....I did about 14.5 kms. It was nice when I started out. Raining a little...cool breeze. By the time I was half way through the sun had decided to make an appearance and it was muggy!!!!

Evening Girls,

I don't think I mentioned that today my MIL was having her mastectomy. I picked her up at 6:00 AM and am still hanging out at the hospital. We had a bit of scare as she was having trouble breathing following the surgery. She is still in ICU but she is breathing on her own without an oxygen mask. I had hoped to be home by 5:00ish to get my leg wo in, but looks like that may get pushed to tomorrow AM. I packed snacks and lunch so at least my eats were clean:)

Cookie - My sleeping is so strange...I wake up in the middle of the night for a few days in a row then go back to sleeping normally. So far, this week has been A-OK;) Which YogaFit DVD did you do? I just noticed that there are a ton of them on netflix, but they aren't available for rent for some reason. If you like them, I definitely want to give them a try:) Glad you had a great vacay.

Belinda - Seems like you are having a great rest week. Nice job on your yoga and cardio wo today. Enjoy DH being back in town;)

Helene - Nope, I was snoozing @ 2:30 this morning:) It's funny...you work out more to sleep less and I am craving more sleep:) Hopefully we will both get what we need. Did you get your wo in after work?

Iris - You're right...I'm thankful that I CAN start over. After sitting out workouts due to injuries, I shouldn't complain. I'm soooooo happy your results were favorable. You've been through so much I hoped that you had only good news:) How did your run/plyo wo go? Sounds like a great cal-burner;) Oh, and CONGRATS on no cigarettes for 4 days!! Yippeee!!

Lori - Ca-ching! Sounds like you will have lots of hours at work with only two of you there. Glad DH showed up so you could get your run in. WTG on your productive day!

Amelia - Great job on your wo and nice cal-burn;) Glad DS is doing better this week. It is such an adjustment for them. My youngest DD who started pre-school this summer started having accidents:confused: Some weeks seem better than others...but the strange thing is that she seems to love school and the teachers say the same thing. I don't know what's with the wetting, but I'm hopeful that it will go away soon.

Deb - Glad your back is well enough for you to run. I had never heard of melatonin before. I just googled it up and I may give it a try the next time I have sleepless nights. It's also used to treat jet lag which may come in hand this winter..we're going to hawaii and i've been concerned about the 6-hour time difference...it could take a week for me to adjust to THAT;)

Lori, you have so much energy! Did you scrub the house from top to bottom and do five loads of laundry also? JK Just curious if you've always been so full of energy? Wish I could get so much accomplished - especially right now around the house.
Iris, awesome!!!! Four days - that's great. It's such a hard addiction to break. I like how you choose a rotation - I should try that. Wasn't it humid today? I was drenched after wo, and that was with weights. Can't imagine what it would have been like with cardio. Went to Honest Weight yesterday and stocked up on pantry supplies. Do you ever go there? I was feeling righteous about eating healthier and then I got the bill. Am considering it an investment in family health.
Amelia, it must be such a change for your son. Glad it is going smoother now for him. I love Grease! Sometimes when I'm nervous before a presentation I'll put that cd in the player and listen/sing along on my way to work. With you on not liking scary movies. My family laughs and calls me a wimp but just can't tolerate them. Reality is scary enough. How did the intervals go?
Trish, hope things are okay with your MIL. And it isn't easy being waiting around either. How were her spirits going into it? I did Flex and Flow and Core Power. I didn't have one of those yoga balls, so used a small 6# med ball. That was on Monday, my abs are still reminding me of it. Really do not think the yoga balls could weigh that much. It's more of a strength style yoga that worked me good. Hope you like it. I woke up at 2:30 anxious about getting caught up with work. Why do I even bother? I really need to work on using the word no more often.
Helen, you have your hands full with two little ones and working outside of the home. I wo to help me sleep and cause I love the feeling when I'm done. Do you live near Iris and I?
Deb, so did you call the gf's mother? Just wondering 'cause I don't know what I would do. Hope your back is doing better, and definitely no lifting of suitcases. On the way home from NC read one of the books Jodelle suggested, UltraMetabolism. Confirmed my thinking that its my eating causing some of the health issues. Made a few recipes from the book and they tasted great too. Tonight was Morrocan Chicken, yesterday was a salmon dish. Made the Asian salad to take with me to work tomorrow. If nothing else, my taste buds are happy. You're a vegetarian, right?
Gianna, how's everything down under? We miss you, please come back.
Belinda, hope your DH gets in on time. He sure does a lot of travelling. So what parties do you have this weekend?

Okay, did MIS this morning. Except for abs, which are still recovering from my stupid idea on Monday. Like all the form pointers Cathe gives on this one, but was disappointed my weights went down on shoulders. Wonder if it's from working them so much in Monday's wo? Have a late meeting tomorrow night, so not sure if I'll check in.
