Commercials you love & hate.......

My alltime favorite is the guy in a mortgage company commercial, I think it's Lending Tree. He shows off his big house, new car, and even belongs to the local golf club. Then he says: "How do I do it? ... I'm in debt up to my eyeballs!" Then he rides on his fancy lawn mover, saying "Somebody help me .... please!" :D :p :):)

It cracks me up every single time. I know I shouldn't laugh, it's a sad reality for some people, but it is just too funny! I just found the link to it

I hate ALL of those prescription drug commercials, they just agrevate me. What's the point in marketing it to the general public? And all those side effects, geeh, take the pill, and then when you have side effects we'll have another pill to counteract the side effects, hmmmmhhh!

I don't know why, but I love the diet Pepsi commercials with the football players all wanting diet Pepsi - cracks me up.

I'm another who hates the Capitol One Commericials with the barbians running all around ruining things. I wish they would come up with a different theme. DH hates that commerical so much that he refuses to even consider the Capitol One card.

My all time favorite commerical wasn't shown too many times - it was the EDS one where the cowboys were herding cats. Wow - that was in 2000! It still makes me laugh watching it here. What creativity... http://www.youdoob.com/videos/Commercials/Cat_Herding

My hubby and I laugh every time this commercial comes on. If it lasts for 3 hours and 45 minutes your o.k. but once you hit that four hour mark you better call the doc!

I too enjoy the Geico caveman ads and the insurance ads that uses the stars to help tell the story. I can't STAND the mucus or the toe commercials, especially the toe where the toe nail is lifted up by the infection....bleh!

I love love love the cell phone commercial where the kids are asking for a cell phone and one of the responses from the mom is "wouldn't you rather get a tattoo?". Cracks me up.

Also I loooove the payton manning Master Card commercials. For some reason I think that they are the funniest things.

I hate the hair clipper/trimmer commercial where they show hair being removed from the ear, nose, back of the neck, you name it. It grosses me out as much as the fungi commercial. Bleh. And I am another one that thinks the Burger King commercial with the creepy king is just weird.

Oh, I just thought of one airing right now that I absolutely loathe. It is the Del Taco commercial where they show clothes on the floor leading up to a bed and a supposedly naked guy in the bed eating something from Del Taco. It's just wrong!!!!!

The worst!!! That one with a bunch of women (one of them is a doctor no less) out for a "girls night" talking about birth control. Just inane and makes me cringe everytime when they ask the doctor chick "how did you get to be so smart?" to which she replies "I didn't go to medical school for nothing!" giggle giggle--ugh.x(
Oh and the one for Nutri-System, where all the ladies twirl around and say, "my huzband calls me hiz trophy wife".;( Eeek. Sure its cool they lost weight, and yep we need our birth control, but for some reason these drive me nuts.

My fave is the Geiko commercials too. Especially the one where the caveman is with the therapist!:7
 
I'm a lurker around here but I felt like I had to post on this thread.

What about the commercial for Mucinex? Where there's a green glob of mucous living in some poor guys lungs? He leaves an absolutely lovely slimy, green trail of puddles as he waddles around. Disgusting!:eek:
It's gotten to the point where I will literally run to the TV to turn it off so I don't have to watch this commercial. It really makes my stomach turn.

And now they have another add featuring Mucinex for children. Of course, it has a little kid sized glob of green nastiness! I don't know who decided that animating mucous would be fun and good advertising.

The best ever commercial for me was in the 70s from Coca Cola and everyone sang "I would like to teach the world to sing in perfect harmony," and then the reunion for that one in the mid 90s.
Also, I like that one commercial with Abe Lincoln and that animal is calling him a "liar."
 
I LOVE the Geico cavemen...and I don;t think this is a national commercial (I'm from CT)but anyone who's in the area where Comcast cable is...I love the commercials with those turtles, the Slowskys...they crack me up every day!!!

i sorta remember an funny ad(song) on the radio about ants
the commercials i like are the ones that make me laugh so its not car commercials!

The Geico caveman commercials are the ones I love. My favorite is still the one in the restaurant - my husband always tries to get my daughter to order roast duck with mango salsa when we go out to dinner, but she won't oblige. Maybe she's afraid she'll actually end up having to eat a duck. The one in the airport is pretty good too.

I think the only commercials that drive me nuts are these local ads we have for Fucillo Chevrolet. This so-and-so has a car dealership in Niagara Falls, and I know he's got them in other cities around the east - so I'm sure some of you are familiar with him. He's very obnoxious and I would never buy a car from him, just because of that.

I don't like the Geico ad with Little Richard. THAT guy creeps me out. He looks like a living mannequin.
