Cleaning wood...please help!

Overnight, my adorable naughty cat knocked over my water bottle onto the coffee table. How do I get rid of the water mark it left behind?

Thanks for any help.

Water marks/heat scars and white rings

Massage mayonnaise into the marks and leave it on overnight. The next morning, wipe off the mayonnaise and the marks should be gone. You can also use petroleum jelly, butter, or margarine. If you have a really stubborn spot, mix cugarette ashes or rottenstone (hardware store) with the mayonnaise and repeat the above procedure.

Non-gel white toothpaste is also effective in removing water rings. Dab toothpaste on a damp cloth and gently massage the ring in a circular motion until it's gone. Wipe and buff with a soft cloth. Apply furnature polish if necessary.

This is out of "Talking Dirty with the Queen Of Clean" Linda Cobb.

Hope it helps. Never done it myself.

Hmmm. I wonder if this will work for what a sick kitty leaves on the floor? I'm getting ready to move to my new home that has hardwood flooring. He's been ill and hasn't done well keeping his food down. I wanted to research how to clean up his accidents without ruining my floor.

Buy the book! The Queen of Clean has helped me with many a pet mess.

Also Nature's Miracle makes a product for cleaning up pet vomit & other accidents. It looks like finely ground sawdust.

Thanks for your wishes on the recovery of Kitty Kitty. He's going back to the vets this afternoon for more testing.
