####Clean & Tidy Weekend####

Morning girls,

Ryan made pancakes this morning and I had 2 small ones. I don't want to be that mom whose kids grow up watching her not eat "fun" foods. I just want to eat them in moderation and do my WOs! I'll have some fruit and cheese later probably.

Today is the first day of my new rotation! YAY! I'm pleased to report that I'm down 2 pounds!!!! I worked out 6 days last week and burned 2625 calories! Looks like it worked! I'm so happy. It's so motivating to see progress. So today will HSTA. I've never done it before so I'm anxious to see how it goes. My chest is still sore from push ups from MM! And my lower back is a little tight from Kick Max.

Kate, you crack me up about the better carby than crabby. I couldn't agree more. I love me a little French bread. :) I think your plan about baby #4 is a good one. Are you pretty fertile? DH and I thought about a 3rd but I told him if I had a 3rd, I would want a 4th so he/she could have a friend and that just closed the door! :) It's so fine though because I'm perfectly happy with my 2! I do miss sweet little babies though and I actually really miss nursing! There's just nothing like looking into that little babies eyes and hearing the sweet sounds they make while nursing. My turn to be sappy!

Morris, I hope today is a brighter, better day with your fam!

Katie, kick max was good but I'm not crazy about the arm/leg combos. The last one is really the only one that got my heart rate up. I was at 130-135 or so for most of it. I can get much higher than that with just a steady state step!

Ok ladies, lots of cleaning and such to do. Trying to figure out if I want to change my bday crusie. If we change it to the eastern carib route on an earlier date, then we can be home for xmas with the fam. I've done the eastern route twice but it might be worth it if it means that I can be with the fam for xmas. Decisions decisions! :)

Have a great day. bbl after WO. We're going to church tonight! YAY - I'm looking forward to doing something besides grocery shopping.

good morning! i did 6.5 miles running, and i went fastish!! i did 4 miles of intervals - 7.2 and 8.2 1/4 mile repeats, then 2.5 of slower hills (7.5-7). i am so happy! now my dilema - do i start ff's december or january rotation? i do my own cardio and lower body, but i would be following her upper body plans. what do you guys think, esp if you did december's rotation?

kate, your plan for number 4 sounds good, but is there even a chance you'd get pregnant while nursing? i know i could not, and i plan to nurse for at leats a year.

angie, you are motivating me!! great stats. i hope france is starting to fel more like home.

good morning everyone - bbl

Morris, you are NUTS for being able to run that fast!! I am in awe of you!! I am 5 ft tall so my stride is a little short, 6.2 mph was plenty fast for me!

Angie, WTG on the 2#!! And that is a LOT of calories burned last week!! I agree with you about not wanting your kids to see you depriving yourself of food -- especially since you have girls. I would be a terrible mother to girls because of all of my issues with food / weight, I would be terrified of passing them on.

Kate, I also like the idea for baby #4. Reading about your ideal date night has me craving warm cookies!!

_________________________________

Absolutely no workout for me today -- except I am planning to do the SM segment with the band. I am very sore -- glutes, quads, hams, shins -- from PS legs and then running.

I need to work on my January rotation today -- I am going to use the Pure Strength series, and also tack on a few 1RM tests each day. I am only going to test for exercises with a 3, 4, or 5 rating. If anyone is interested in this, pls let me know.

Chris and I are heading out soon for groceryMAX, then home to clean up this house some, the damn x-mas tree is still up, I hate taking the x-mas decorations DOWN:mad:

angie, ita on the pancakes. i dont eat them every time but dds def. see me "indulge" from time to time. WOWZA on the calorie burn. okay, i want a hrm now! i know katie has the polar f7 - what do you have? will you be able to understand enough french at church? good for you for going!:) hsta had SO MANY leg presses!!!! bon chance!

morris, i prob. couldnt get pg til after af started again, which would prob be after julias 1st bday. ill nurse as long as she wants to. other dds nursed til just over a year and a half. gina was about a year and isabel wad TWOAND A HALF before af came back! i had extremely low body fat then tho.....those were the days!;)
im in awe of your running ability! as far as im concerned you should be in the olympics!
i got really good results from ff's dec rotation. i am much leaner and ub is much more defined.

katie, lol on the tree!!! enjoy your rest day!
and i am TERRIFIED i'll pass on an eating disorder!:(
need to grocerymax here too.

-----------------
well, its terribly icy so not going to friends for lunch - long drive. after church we'll just COME HOME!!!!!

b was wheat chex and apple slices
rest of day tbd...

wo - either rest day or l&g. depends on my motivation tonight!

bbl.....

Morning!

Darrin just left to go salt. The older two girls are still sleeping:) We had a nice visit last night at our friends' home. I need to take lessons from this woman-she is so patient with her kids-5 year old twins, 19 month old twins, and a 7 month old-she never raised her voice! She says it's because she works and isn't home all day;) Anyway, did Push Pull yesterday and dinner was ok-had a burger and some apps, and 1/2 piece of tiramisu, and 3 glasses of wine-I don't even drink wine! Luckily, no headache today. Need to do cardio and abs today-HIIT and ME abs I think. My weight is up almost 2# from the other day:( I'm definitely starting a circuit rotation tomorrow! I think I've come to the conclusion that I have enough upper body muscle-wasn't liking how I looked in my clothes yesterday-so I want to focus on defining more. I hope it works!

Angie, I totally agree with the food thing, especially as a mom of 3 girls-everything in moderation. I keep trying to explain food choices to my 9 year old; she helps me read food labels-looking for hfcs, trans fat, etc. And you're setting a great example-eating clean and working out.

Morris, what a workout! You must be a speed demon when you're totally healthy!

Katie, good idea to rest today-my calves were STILL sore yesterday-I had to skip the claf work in PP! We got our tree down on Thursday-once Darrin gets the urge to clean, watch out! We had everything done in less than an hour. I have to say I'm glad it's back to nornmal in here.

Kate, great results from FF's rotation! Nice plan for #4. I had a great time last night-snuggling a sweet little baby:) But it was nice to give him back to his mama.

HI Colleen, Anne, Robin!

b-ceral, fruit
s-fruit, cheese

bbl...

I really need to be kicked out of this group.

We went to Quick (like McDonald's) for lunch b/c the kids needed a place to run around and burn off some energy. I could have chosen a salad but they looked weird (and not low fat) so I got a chix sandwich instead.

But wait, it doesn't stop there. We're having pizza hut for dinner. There is one 45 minutes away and Ryan has such a craving that he's going to get it. I promise, just one piece and HSTA WILL happen!

Morris, awesome job on the running! I'm glad you're getting back into your groove.

Kate, I have the polar F6 - the only diff is mine has a plastic chest strap and Katie's has a fabric chest strap. I didn't know it was only $10 more or I would have done it! That strap can get uncomfortable. And the church we're going to is english speaking - french church would be a joke for me right now!

Klaudia, (everyone's posting while I'm typing this) I can't believe your friend has 5 kids 5 and under! That's just crazy! Are you done with babies? I can't imagine having too much muscle. What a problem... :) My biggest issue here is that I can't find yogurt for the kids without HFCS but there is no trans fat in anything else. Ryan and I were laughing b/c they don't really eat "healthy" here but everyone is skinny and we think it's because it's all just less processed!

Okay, gotta get WO in soon.

BBL!

Hi to Robin, Anne, Colleen - hope you're having a relaxing Sunday!

Angie, it's funny. I always think I'm not muscular enough then I put on some shirt and feel I look too manly. And then I get discouraged. Maybe I just need a new wardrobe?;) We are definitely done with our family-Darrin had "the procedure" done in April. We're both very happy with our decision. We get to get our baby fix through friends and family now:)

If you need to be kicked out of here, then I need to be exiled! Enjoy the pizza and consider it a treat and a chix sandwich is not a double cheeseburger deluxe!

no kicking people out!! i have a sweet tooth obsession and eat some choclate every day. also have too many processed granola bars. i love this group for the daily motivation.

angie, have fun with the family. i bet it will be nice to have something familiar for dinner for you all.

kate, i would also worry about passing on an ed to girls, not that boys are immune, but, you know what i mean. i cannot imagine you having lower bf than you probably so now as you are so healthy. i guess everything can get out of balance, though.

klaudia, i know what you mean about the muscle. my back tends to get too broad if i do too much heavy lifting, but i love how heavy lifting feels. that is why i am on the fence about the december rotation of ff. i may just try january now instead. did you do her dec one?

katie, i am 5 ft 2. speed is just a comfort thing. i do not think i am very fast, but i like the feeling of going fast. enjoy your rest day! i dvr-ed sm 1 last week but have not dfone it yet. i am terrible about stretching.

all this talk about babies and family, i am in such a quandary, sort of. i cannot get pregnant without hormonal help as i am deficient. we did it twice, with great results, but i do not dare imagine doing it a third time - i am not ready for twins! we are probably done having kids, but, i don't think we will use brith control. kate, your birth story is still something i cherish. with finn (ds1) i had an amazing birth experience. with aidan, i am just lucky we are both alive but am still disappointed i had a c section. aprt of me wants to try it one more time so i can try for a natural borth. i am really just happy with what i have, though.

still on the fence about what upper body to do today. i want to get leaner but not bulky. decisions decisions.... this should not be so hard;)

Hi Everyone,

The baby was adorable last night. It was good to see his parents and how proud they are of their bundle of joy. Today my stomach is a little upset (there was a stomach virus going around work) so I am going to relax this afternoon. Tonight we are going to a party for our friend's 40th birthday. It is at a restaurant that serves tapas (Spanish appetizers). It's good because the portions are small but bad because there are so many choices.

Angie, ^5 on the weight loss. Don't worry about your treats today. Just get back on track tomorrow.
Katie, I hate taking the Christmas decorations down too. This year we never found time to do much decorating so it was easy cleaning up.
Kate, enjoy a quiet afternoon with the family before school and everything else starts up again.
Klaudia, 2 sets of twins is a lot of work. I am not sure I could be that patient whether I worked or didn't.
Morris, isn't crazy how sometimes it is hard to figure out a good workout. How about ME UB?
Anne, how are you holding up today?
Robin, what are your plans for the day?

w/o was SM seg 1
b: pumpkin pie oatmeal
l: lentil soup
d: tapas

Quick check in to report that HSTA is done!

Time: 1 hr 2 min
Cal: 421
Max: 182
Avg: 139

I haven't set the "own zone" part on my watch so it calculates my heart rate and cal burn based on my age/weight. So, I need to set it up a little more. HSTA was good. I didn't do the glute work at the end with the chest work... glutes too sore from KM/MM/B&G! I also didn't do the rotating push ups... chest so sore! But everything else was pretty good!

Time to read to kids... school tomorrow morning!!!! :)

Angie, I haven't set my "own zone" either, i'll get around to it one day!!

Kate, the F6 (Angie's) and the F7 (mine) are the same, except for the chest strap is fabric on the F7 and some say more comfortable (I have nothing to compare it to, so I don't know). But I was able to find it for $105 which is a GREAT price, here's the link...

Angie, you are too funny. If anybody needs to be kicked out of this group, it's me. Yesterday I had a bagel with butter, string cheese and an orange for breakfast, then I had tater tot casserole (leftovers) for lunch and then we picked up RIBS for dinner. It's unbelievable how badly I eat. But today is a new day, right? DH has ham and bean soup going in the crock pot for dinner and it has lots of veggies. I'm trying to psych myself up to do HSTA, but I'm not feeling great today, so we'll see how it goes. Maybe it'll be fine once I get started.

Morris, your cardio capacity is amazing!

Kate, it's icy here today, huh? I haven't been outside yet and don't plan to go anywhere.

Klaudia, glad you had fun with your friends last night.

Katie, you may talk me into looking at a HRM.

Colleen, I hope your tummy settles down.

Okay, I'm going to go change for my work out. See you all in a bit.

anne

klaudia, i cannot imagine that many small kids! are they done or going for more? have fun hiiting it today!

katie, thanks for the link! sings"a shopping i will go, hi ho the merry-o....."

morris, i find it hard to stop wanting to have babies!:eek: mike does too - he says go for FIVE! i think 4 is my limit tho....maybe!;) i love the name finn. our cousins middle name is flynn and i love that too. what does dh think about more kids? will he always travel so much?
i fight wanting granola bars every day! i keep some around for the kids and i'll have one in a hunger emergency. i find triscuits satisfy about like a granola bar does. if i eat them with an apple and close my eyes i can pretend its apple pie!:p

colleen, have fun tonight! driving the beamer?!!!!

angie, ^5 on hsta!

anne, crazy icy! dds uncle about fell this am and dds were in a total giggle fit! me too!:p:D
hope your soup is good!
hsta - you can do it!!!

Hey everyone
kate good idea don't go out on ice

Klaudia I also want to work on definition of upper bod and not muscle growth. That is why I can't wait for the mesocycle 1 (endurance training).

Colleen feel better and be careful those Spanish appetizers will creep up on you.

Angie great stats and your kids will see you as a person who is concerned with healthy eating and exercising.
Now if we only dieted and did not do w/o then we will have a problems with our kids. A good example is that my DD is looking for a new w/o series for the new year instead of starving herself to get thin.
GOOD GOING with the decrease in pounds.

Katie if I w/o for 2 weeks without skipping (except for illness) that F7 will be my reward:D...how's the DOMS

Anne which w/o did you do?
--------------------------------

Today at church my pastor talked about "recycled new years resolutions". LOL I'm glad that we don't do that. we just try to improve on our already established good habits. He sAid that a lot of people promises to exercise everyday but really don't because they do not believe, deep down in their hearts, so they end up just stopping. They need the clean and tidy forum...I thought. Then he went on to talk about spiritual promises too.

Y-day eats were clean and tidy (in a child's plate). Today
b-egg whites
l-one taco no cheese
s-1/2 PB sandwich
d-chicken BBQ and whole grain rice, corn
s-?? I really want some hot-dark chocolate

Okay, I did HSTA. I think I did almost all the upper body work, but I have to admit to skipping some of the leg presses. The next time I do it I'll do better.

Off to shower and have a snack. Either an apple or orange and a little protein.

I'm so glad the holidays are over, but getting back in the groove at work will be a challenge. Have a good Sunday, everyone!

anne

robin, do those wo's!!! get that hrm!!!!
use heshey's sp.dk. cocoa and make hot choc w/ it! ,mmmmm!

anne, wtg on hsta! havent done that one in ages...

we made lf oatmeal raisin cookies. so good! only 150 cal/cookie!
took 1/2 to the neighbors.

Awwwwww!! Kate ate cookies!

Today's eats were pretty good overall, but a bit carb heavy. I made DH pepperoni bread for dinner, and really wanted some, so I made myself one with lf cheese, turkey pepperoni, and spinach -- it was YUMMY! Dipped in tomato basil marinara...... About 600 cals I estimate!! Way better than DH's full fat, greasy version with no veggies!! I think next time I will put more spinach.

Got groceries done and got the x-mas decor put away. My house is not quite clean, but closer for sure.

I am tired. Need to get to bed soon anyway -- work tomorrow:mad:

katie, i wish i couldsay your bread sounded good but i am so terribly full that NOTHING sounds good. i've been slogging down the water to clear my system of the cookie fiasco and i HURT! will do l&g as soon as julia conks out.

booooo to a regular week this week, huh? gina's already crying. it aint gonna be pretty tomorrow morning.

good luck tomorrow morning, kate. and dare i ask for that cookie recipe??

katie, what is peperroni bread?

robin, awsome menu for the day. i love the sugar free hot choc for kicking a craving.

anne, good jo b with the workout.

well, eats were squeaky clean today, yeah!!! we had a wonderful crockpot chicken and veggies for dinner with a really good spinach salad - i ate so many fruits and veg today i should have a belly ache:)

good luck getting kiddos off to school in the am everyone. good night!
