Quick check in before church. I plan on doing yoga today. My boys are so excited about the superbowl. Does anyone watch the superbowl? My menu is up in the air b/c I need to get groceries. I plan on keeping it clean today.

I've had only a couple hours sleep, we got in late from the show, and i took the dogs out at 6:30am, pug was bugging me!

Kate, you're gonna be super loose! I've got CS on tap for today myself. I too had an apple for dinner last night, stupid malt balls, stupid apple dapple....I can post my recipe, i got it from the BFL website. I think i posted it before, but i cant remember. They are not sweet, but cakey.

Robin, tell us all about S+H!

Katie, congrats on size small, feels good i bet.

Shirl, have a great day at church. I'm not a superbowl girl, would it be a dumb question if i asked when it is :)

Robin, Apple cake was NOT clean (maybe tidy) - I can post the recipe of you want it still. It used canola/veg oil (1.3 cups). Doesn't it feel great to know you lost 24 lbs. You're doing awesome. I am proud to say I weigh 70 POUNDS less than when I delivered Gina. I was HUGE! Hope you get some relaxinf in today. We try hard to keep Sunday a day of rest too.

Katie, I've never heard of Rodnet ?? - sounds like it doesn't matter anyway!:)

Shirl, Have fun yoga-ing. No, I don't watch the super bowl. 1 - we don't have a TV. 2 - DH is (thankfully) not into sports!

Steph, Sorry for the short sleep. Hope CS and your nap refresh you. I can go to the BFL website for the recipe. Did DH do good last night? The super bowl is a big football game. The commercials in betweeen are a big draw for a lot of people and lots of people get together to watch it and eat lots of yummy, calorie-laden food. You're not missing anything (sorry to all you superbowl lovers!)

Well, DH and Isabel are off to church. Unfortunately Gina has a wicked cough so she and I are staying home.x( I'm getting a little bit of house work done, made tortilla soup, will go thru the ads and make my grocery list and plan my menus for the week. Hoping to do Cl.Str. Total Body. Cardio Fusion is up for later - yikes! I've never done this before. From what I hear I'll need lots of breaks! Hopefully I can do it this afternoon. I have done NO paperwork all weekend and I know I'll need to do some after DDs go to bed tonight. Yuck.

GO GIANTS!!!! My DS made me say that and no I'm not going to watch football today.

S&H Chest and Back was hard as hell, or maybe I just selected the wrong weights. My problem is that I have 12, 15, 20 #db. Some of the back moves I did with 20# DB but then I had to drop down to 15#, which ended up being too light. Next week I'll add one pound to each move by wearing 1# wrist weights. I'll add this 1# after the first set (there are 3 sets for each move) Do you think that is a good idea? Each move is sloooooow and you have to concentrate.

For example for the Chest Bench Press
set 1 15# and 1# wrist weights
Set 2 15#
Set3 15#


I may do the S&H for two weeks then do Gym Style for one week then have a nice recovery week.

The perfect pushup handles helped me with my push ups but my chest was on fire and I couldn't do any boy pushups.
 
Jenn, I will do my best to post the recipe. It is so good and nothing at all unclean in it.

Robin, I'll leave the weigth quest. for Shirl! Those pushups are wicked, for sure!

I just finished CS Total Body Workout. While I LOVE these, I'm anxious to get my new ones. They said up to 2 weeks for shipping though!x( My sister couldn't believe how muxh more flexible I am. That was nice/motivating to hear.

Better go be with Gina. bbl....
 
Hi Everyone!

Busy morning. My mom called this morning and told me my sister is in labor (10 days early). I got a text about an hour ago that the baby will be here soon :) We don't know if the baby is a boy or girl. I can't wait to find out. This will be my first niece or nephew. I wish I lived closer so I could see the baby today.

Party was fun last night and I was able to keep my portions in check and not load up on junk food. We stayed out a little too late and I am exhausted today. We were supposed to stay for Super Bowl, but one of friends invited us over for the game. It should be fun - but since it is potluck I doubt it will be very clean.

Kate, I disagree with Jenn and I like Cardio Fusion for a Cardio challenge. The only negative is that I can't do if I have been doing BM2, LIC and DM a lot. Then it is too repetitive.

Kate, I weight 75 pounds less today than I did 3 years ago before I delivered Collin -- CRAZY!!!

Robin, good for you for pushing thru on S&H!! I can't wait to get mine -- I think I am going to order some Pace Weights so that I can increase by 1# or so each week (hopefully). Dumbbells I have 3s, 5s, 8s, 10s, 12s, 15s, 20s, and 30s. The jump between 15 and 20 is killer!! Also, KUDOS to YOU for losing 24 pounds! That is a major accomplishment!!

I had cereal for breakfast, went to lunch at Chili's and had a burger (maybe more like half) and fries, and just now I ate some dark chocolate m&ms!x(

GTG, Chris and I are working on a home improvement project this afternoon and he is giving me the evil eye for being on the computer.:eek:
 
Katie, We were looking back at old pics and DH asked "who is THAT?!" about a pic of ME! He didn't even recognize me from when I was so big. He *said* he never noticed that I was that big. Yeah, right. You were craving the sweet after the salty, weren't you? I HATE when that happens. And dk.choc. mms are so addicting and so good. (esp. w/ peanuts or almonds!) What project are you guys working on? I would love to order some pace weights too. Need to get around to doing it.

I just finished Cardio Fusion. Not quite sure where my burst of energy came from but it was awesome. Lots of power the whole workout. Now I'm enjoying my larabar and huge ice water. Then I'm going to the grocery store to pick up a fwe things for dinner tonight.

Colleen, Congratulations! How exciting, a baby girl! Mom and baby are doing well?

Kate, I'm a recovering cardio junkie and I love CF. I try not to do it often b/c it's difficult for me to gain muscle and the extra long cardio was part of the problem. But I LOVE it!

Robin, Congratulations on the weight loss. I was overweight as a teen and young adult. I weighed less giving birth to all 3 of my children than when DH and I started dating. It's a great feeling! Keep it up! I've kept my weight off for 18 years! It took me about 10 months to get back to my original weight after my boys were born. I'm about 5 lbs. heavier since the birth of my daughter but I wear the same size and I have more muscle.

Katie, Hope you're making some progress with the project. Good job with the weight loss, too!

Steph, Were able to take a nap today? The superbowl is fun b/c my boys love it. It starts tonight at 6:30. I make healthier snack food for them which is actually dinner and a snack. Instead of the typical chicken wings, I make chicken breast strips with a healthier version of the chicken wing sauce. I make my own blue cheese dressing with ff sour cream and fresh blue cheese, pepper & sea salt. That way I'm able to control the amount of cheese, etc. We're having a SUPER BOWL salad, (I always make my own salad dressing, wine & balsamic vinegar, evoo, sea salt, pepper, fresh garlic, basil & oregano); ww pita artichoke quesadillas(lowfat cheese) and their favorite beverage - water with fresh lemons. Ok, now I'm hungry. I better get busy making this food.

Jenn, How was KBX? I haven't done that one in awhile. Love Amy's energy in this ...move that body! FUN, FUN, FUN! Did you do the ab work at the end? I like the halftime show too. I plan to watch the preshow to see Paula Abdul perform. I keep myself busy until the boys yell "Mom you have to watch this replay!"

Chris and I have so many freaking home improvement projects in the next few months it's ridiculous!! Recently we ordered some new bar stools for the kitchen, they *said* they were wood seat and white frame. That was exactly what we were looking for -- the kitchen is white and blue, very country looking (with lots of modern things too, like lots of Kitchen Aid appliances and a flat screen on the wall!). Well, the stools were NOT white -- more like beige. So we were painting them (3 of them) white. We also cleaned out my car.

In the next three months, my mom is moving out of her house that she has lived in for 20+ years into a new house, I am moving out of my house into Chris's, and our best friends are moving out of their apartments into a new house. Oh yes, and the weddings! CRAZINESS!!

In the coming weeks, we are painting the entire house, cleaning carpets, laying down new laminate flooring in the kitchen and bathrooms, lots of cleaning of course, and getting all new living room furniture. It's gonna be CRAZY!

I think I may be finished with all the crap that I had to do today.
Now I'm tired and it is only 5:45. Katie I would love to help you with your house plans but I got to much plans of my own. Sometimes I wish I was Oprah and could just employ a team of people to do my will.

Right now I'm eating a big salad and a small serving of baked ziti (whole grain ziti but fatty cheese).

My chest hurts and I need a drink (wine) I've already drank my water.

Well, my baked potato BLEW UP in the oven! So I had salad instead. Had a few bites of DH's potato. My salsa was so hot I could barely eat it. I drank 3 enormous glasses of ice water with dinner and still downin' it. Those were some spicy jalapenos in there!

Ugh, Robin, I *detest* ironing! I send all of DH's stuff to the cleaners now. For $1.34 a shirt....can't beat that! Hope Oprah finds her way to you. I think you're just about the most deserving person I know. ((hug)). Hope you get your relaxing evening!
