Hi everyone.

Busy Saturday for me, not sure if it's going to be fun. I have a movie trip, then the electrician is coming over today or tomorrow. I really need to go to Michaels Art and Crafts store to buy plain wreaths. They are on sale 2 for $3.

I have to drop off my DS to his cousin house so that I can go and shop for his b-day (Nov 18). He only wants wrestling stuff, which I made him print out a picture because Toy-R-Us is confusing to me, too much selection. Maybe I'll go to Walmart first.

Oh one more thing. I cheated last night. I had pizza and cheesie bread, with a diet soda :9 :9 :9 , but nothing after 7 pm

It's pms time for me so I may be boycotting the scale on Monday. I am so bloated and just feel like yuck! The too many cheat days could be part of that too.;)

Katie, That cake sounds so delicious! Enjoy every bite and the time with your Mom!

Robin, I'm up for some of those challenges. You've inspired me to decorate my house this coming week! Amy's Slo-Mo core section twice - I'm impressed!

Colleen, Butternut squash soup sounds divine! Did you make it? Enjoy your weekend with your Mom too!

Steph, It's great that you and your DH are proactive and plan to go to counseling. It sounds like your house will be decorated beautifully for the holidays. How was your chiro appt.?

Kate, Yummy - turkey dinner - my favorite! I've never brined a turkey before. Amy's workouts are affordable - $20 with tons of premixes. She is definitely worth checking out.

Question for everyone:) How long have you been working out with Cathe and how did you discover her?

I'm pretty sure I discovered Cathe in 1999. There was a review of MIS in a fitness magazine. I was looking for more of a challenge and I found it. I'm a former Firmie. I started with Firm Vol. 1 in 1986! I still did the Firm, some Tae Bo and the couple Cathe's I had until early 2001. I slowly got rid of my Firms.(except vol. 1 - too sentimental) I started purchasing almost every DVD Cathe made. I just recently started selling the ones I no longer use.(never thought I'd do it) I just couldn't justify keeping them. Cathe's workouts were my main source of exercise for a few years until I felt like I needed a change. There are a few other advanced instructors out there whom I really like. Cathe seems like an old friend when I return to a just Cathe rotation. Wow that was a long answer. :D:D

My workout is going to be Kelly Coffey Meyers new step boxing. I'm looking forward to it.

Workout this morning was LIC Cardio Blast Premix, LOVE IT! Those core-leg-side repeaters really get my heart going! I am going to try to squeeze in some abs sometime today.

I only found Cathe about 9 months ago. I had been working out here and there since my son was born in 2005, but it got really inconsistent after his father and I spilt. I had always really wanted to try step aerobics, so I bought a set on sale at Target in March 2007 that came with Cathe's Basic Step, Body Fusion, etc. I did those for a few weeks and I was HOOKED! 9 months, 15 DVDs, and 15 pounds later, I am still here and I feel confident that Cathe will be in my life for as long as I am still breathing!

Menu today will look something like this....

B cereal w/skim milk
S banana
L leftover pot roast and veggies
S ???
D out with DF, probably burger and fries!}(

I just finished my workout and I loved it a lot! This is my first Kelly Coffey-Meyer purchase and it was fantastic IMHO.

I always forget about collage. I went there and watched the clip, and the workout looks fun. However, I have reservations about the instructor -- I don't mean this to offend, but I'm not sure if I would "click" with her, and that may deter me from doing the workout. How is her personality?

I just put about 5 or 6 new videos on my wish list over at collage!

Kate I can smell those french toast from here.

I over heard my kids talking about me. They said that if we were to win the lottery the first think I would do is go to cathe.com. I burst out laughing!!!! Then I said "how did you know". LOL You see how kids think. They don't think I pay bills. They think that I just buy exercise DVDs.

Shirl I remember the Firm from 1986. Back then I was into Jane Fonda. I really did not start with Cathe until a few months ago in May. I was doing the Firm and buying all of their steps. My weight selection back then was 5,8 and 10 pounds. Just think....I'm using 20 and 25 # DBs now. I starting recording Cathe on Fit TV and did Low max. Back then I did not even use a step because the moves were hard for me.Then one by one I'd replace the taped w/o with the real thing.

Great w/o Katie, wow you lost 15# good for you.

I'm off to drink some water. Chat tomorrow.

Sorry for the late post, and Shirl, thanks for your kind words. DH and i went to counselling today, its over an hour away each way, so it ends up taking up most of my day.

Robin, mmm cheesy bread, and Kate, french toast!

I think my damn hypnosis CD is working, because today i tried to cheat and couldnt!!!!
The day isnt over yet though
I always am a little freer on the weekend,

workout: Upper body premix (70 min!) of 4D, and i did Kim Spreens abs and cool down.
Shirl, i have been eyeing the step box, now i'm thinking i have to get it!

B: oatmeal!
s: 1/2 vegan protein bar (post lift)
L: mushroom barley soup, carrots/hummus, egg white, added a bit of oatmeal and cinnamon, and yogurt

then....carob raisins, like maybe 100 of them, and a few organic malt balls...
D: nothing yet. I'm thinking oatmeal and a mango. its that weird?

Hey Guys! It's Sunday morning & I'm up early. We decided to move our Thanksgiving feast to today and we are having so much company and I'm making ALL the food. I've read everyone's posts but don't have much time to respond right now. After the girls go to bed tonight I'll have time for personals.

Eating yesterday was good & w/o was fantastic - KB & weights, per rotation. I worked so hard & sweat so much.

Hi Ladies

Shirl I saw two movies. The first one with my troop, the Bee movie and it was very cute but some of the jokes only adults could understand them.
The second movie I saw with my DD was Fred Claus and it was so funny because I use to work with a person just like that.

My w/o today was a killer. I did 4day LIS and Amy's slomo legs. WOW :eek: Amy new DVD has very original moves and it is hard.

I've changed my w/o rotation:

Sat: step
Sun: step and Amy SloMo or Cathe 4day
Mon:powerwalking and ab
Tues: rest
Wed:Amy Slomo or Cathe 4day weights only and abs
Thur:Kickboxing
Fri: Amy Slomo or Cathe4day weight only

This way I will do my cardio 4 times per week and weights 3.I need to fit in one more ab w/o...where?

Hey ladies, sorry I've been MIA all weekend.

I have slept a lot, very little activity, and lots of unclean eating. I am terrified of what the scale will say tomorrow morning. I will be happy if I just break even with last week...
