Question of the Day: What is your favorite CATHE workout and why?
 
Happy Wednesday, ladies!!

Busy day at work ahead, hope it goes by fast!

Workout will be GS Chest & Triceps -- YIKES!

Menu will be something like this...

B protein shake
S half sandwich
L tuna, crackers, apple slices
S banana, Kashi bar
D chicken fajitas w/onions and peppers, black beans (little or no tortilla for me)

QUESTION:

My favorite Cathe cardio DVD would probably be LIC cardio blast premix. I just think it is so fun and challenging, but not so hard that you are gasping for air. I also really love Step Blast, I'm thinking that could become a new favorite.

My favorite lifting DVDs would definitely be Gym Styles!!

no workout - rest day! I'll be all rested up for Rhy.Step tomorrow!
fave cardio: Imax2 - If I ever get burnt out this is the DVD I do that reminds me why I love Cathe so much
fave weight: Pyramids or MM. MM is great when you're time crucnhed in the week but want to get it all and it goes by so quick. Pyramids - my 1st Cathe weights and my best results ever. Need to start a rotation with these.

Gotta run - last minute prepping for the PAINTERS!!!!!
 
Morning ladies.

My fav weight w/o is Gym Style also because it is so hard, but easy to follow. You don't have to look at the tv to see what Cathe is doing, she tells you.

My fav step w/o is always the one I'm working on at the moment. I really like Imax and Imax2. I guest my fav Cathe is Rymthmic Step or Low Impact Cardio.

My w/o today was GS-BSB and I increased my shoulder weight selection. WOW did I feel it burn.:D

My favorite Cathe cardio are Imaxes, Cardio Fusion, SJP/Step Blast combo, RS. Several mishmoshes from A-jock and myself. I'm sorry I can't limit it to one. :)

My favorite Cathe weight w/o's are SS/PP 3 set premixes, GS all of them including MM, Pyramid combo, I could go on. :)

I also love BC/ME and L&G/KPC premix - several of them. :)

Oh, I want to do one of my Cathe's now and it's P90X+ upper body today.

Robin, Way to go with your workout! :) Menu looks good.

Katie, I bet you'll be able to squeeze out another pushup today!

Shirl, I find it hard to limit one too - they all have different things about them that make them the best.
 
Short on time, running late, I will catch up with personals at lunch!

Chest & Tris was HARD -- I am proud to report that I did ALL of the push-ups (from the knees, of course), and did not miss ANY -- 1st time for me I think! By the time I got to tris, though, I was burning and they gave out. It hurt to shampoo my hair in the shower after!:eek:

Need to do some Clean/Laundry/Packing Max tonight. I also need to wax my eyebrows. I also need to probably throw it to Chris tonight -- poor boy is getting a little antsy, I can really tell when he needs *some.* }(

Its so windy, and rainy here today, Christmas trees were blowing down the streets! My dog looked at me like i was nuts!

Katie, good question! Thank you, i dont mean to make you the question person, but you're so good at it! My fav cardio workout, i really like all the 4D, maybe because they're new, but LIS and HIS rock my world! I just got the pyramids yesterday, i think i'm going to love them, but my fav weight workout is the total body premix of 4D, its very thorough and you feel worked for sure. I love the IMAX's too, and BM the music..now i'm cheating!

Kate, ooh, paint day! Hope DH had a great birthday. enjoy your rest day too!

Robin, good on upping the weights! Its such a good feeling. Are you liking the gymstyles a lot? Any improvments?

Shirl, I like Bar for the dance quality. I also think the stretching is deep, which just makes me feel longer and leaner. My trainer is insane looking from Germany. I've hired him to kick my ass once a week, and look at my form, since i've had the injury, i want to make sure i'm not re injuring myself all the time. and its a nice change.

Kate, the prices range from $80-150/hour for a trainer. Because he's a friend of a friend, he's charging me 80 bucks/hour. And i get to go to his studio without membership, so access to different types of equipment etc.

I have to run to the chiro, i cant move my neck this morning. Maybe went at the weights a little hard last night considering this stupid shoulder!

Steph. Thanks for the info. it sounds like something I'd like. Boy, I wish I could charge those rates here. (I live in a small community) What type of degree/certification does he have? Sorry about your neck - be careful.

Katie, Great job with your workout. Your comment about Chris gave me a good understanding laugh. Thanks for the questions, I really enjoy them. Sorry I couldn't narrow it down.

Steph, The per.trnr. I had before was this HUGE black guy - super huge, cool, defined muscles. One reason I didn't continue with him was that I don't think he "pushed" me enough - he didn't think "tiny, white girl" knew how to work hard. One of the other trainers there worked hard w/ me, but that owner I really grew to dislike. Hope the chiro offers some help for you. I know I feel better IMMEDIATELY when I go.

Any classes today Shirl?

I have a few clients this afternoon and teach a class. Thanks for asking. Do you have a finished basement? My workout room is in the basement. Well, we're in the process of making it a room. My DH made a raised subfloor, we have the walls framed and insulated. I love my space even though it's not finished. My workout rocked this morning, my core is sore already. Friday is my rest day from "my workouts", but I teach a bootcamp class in the afternoon and have a few clients.

Busy busy morning at work. Hopefully things will calm down so I can get some things done.

Munching on my apples now, tuna and crackers in a couple minutes.

Question about my dinner... I am having chicken and veggies grilled, no oil or butter. Should I use my "tidy" calories to have a few (2) tortillas, or should I have some cheese and sour cream instead? How would you eat it if it were you? Oh, and I am having black beans also (how the gas doesn't kick in until AFTER the SexMax, LMAO!).

Robin, ^5 on the weight increase!
Kate, how is the painting going? When do we get pics?
Steph, BE CAREFUL with those workouts, let us know how you are doing.
Shirl, you are crazy with all those workouts AND teaching AND clients!

I am definitely feeling this morning's workout, especially in my triceps. Hopefully it won't be too bad!

You're cracking me up girl! What will satisfy you more, tortillas or cheese/sour cream?

I work up more of a sweat cleaning my house than I do in some of the classes I have been teaching. 2 of the classes are beginner level, I've designed the other classes so I can get a break to walk around to check form, etc. I also increase my caloric intake due to my activity level. When I'm working with clients I demonstrate the exercises and may even work along with them at times if they need the extra push/encouragement. So, I'm doing extra workouts but not all of them are the same intensity as when I workout at home.

My rotation is going well. I'll probably see some visible results in a couple weeks. I've already seen some improvement with increased reps and some of the hanging core work has improved.(quite challenging for me)

What do you think of Tracey's walking DVD? Hope work is going well.

I'm sitting down to lunch, and now i'm laughing so hard at Katie's post, my soup is all over my desk.

Katie, there's good carbs in tbe beans, so you could have a bit of fat instead of the tortillas, or have one tortilla and a bit less fat. I hope the gasmax waits til Chris is asleep!!

Ive managed to strain all the muscles down my neck and back, obviously to avoid using my painful shoulder to lift!! Stupid!
