Morning girls,

I have little time this AM but I PROMISE I will be back for personals later and to welcome our newbies!

Max interval plyo this morning - holy push-ups batman! I am SORE! I have to say as much as I hate it, I am LOVING insanity! So happy with it.

Gotta get Ryan some bfast, clean kitchen, shower myself and girls, get them to school and off to church coffee.

Angie - You're making me anxious for our Insanity to come in. Should be here by end of this week I'm hoping.

Kate - I was making P's invites all last week. Finally sent them out today.

It is muggy here tonight. Finishing up some work then heading upstairs to bed. Planning on an uphill stroller walk tomorrow and ub. I am feeling super gassy (sorry tmi). Not sure why. I think all the fruit and whole grains are getting to me, ack! Eats were pretty good today. I did have a bite of dd's ice cream, but overall it was pretty good. Good morning to you ladies and I will see you when I wake up. Off to bed!

Morning ladies!! WHEW, was yesterday's workday a NIGHTMARE! We have a new Judge in my jurisdiction and he is doing things differently on this big court days and it went sloooowwwww!! I was in court from 8 am to 1:30 with no coffee and no food - can you imagine how hungry and cranky I was? The next two Mondays are the same (loooong court days).

By the time I left court, I was ready to eat a house - but I didn't do nuts. I ran out and got some soup and half of a sandwich and a coffee, then went back to work. I had TEN phone messages waiting for me when I got back :rolleyes:

Gosh, I hope to get some serious paperwork done today. My caseload is an absolute nightmare:confused:

Nina, I find it ironic and a bit pathetic (on my part) that you felt so awesome after 18 miles and I felt like death after 8!!

WO is cardio today. Busy day of food prep too. In-laws are coming over for dinner.
Builderman is meeting the framer here this AM to go over things and we have a BIG MEETING w/ him at the end of the week to see what the final $ is and timeline of things. I'm kinda nervous!

Becky fun workout. Do you do cardio 1st or 2nd? I've started doing cardio after my weight work, which helps me do my cardio w/o dreading it.

I woke up too late to do my w/o. I set the wrong alarm. Anyway after work I plan to nap-max and then do Class stretch.

hi katie! hope today is better at work. somedays running clicks, and sometimes4 miles is horrid. not sure why sunday was so darn good, but i will take it.

lisa, how much did dh end up getting insanity for? not that i am thinking about it....;)

Robin, nope, no water either! I was lucky to get a break to pee!

4.5 miles this morning - and it SUCKED! My legs felt like lead, and it took every ounce of motivation to make it thru. Ugghhhhh, I hope it was a fluke.

I just realized that I promised to bake cookies for a meeting tomorrow:confused: I have not cheated in 8, going on 9, days and I'm not ready. For the past two nights, I have watched my husband eat a HUGE piece of pumpkin pie after dinner and it has been sorta hard. Send me some ***no cookie or cookie dough*** vibes!!!

becky, that sounds like a FAB workout! love imax2! and ive been resisting clx for a while. its so my kind of workout but i think ive got too many aches in my joints to go for it right now. maybe when im healed compound moves with heavy wts will be on the agenda!

morris, what is your name? running is dream of mine but i am a walk/run/walk kinda gal for now... too many aches and pains lol.

katie, altho im currently unemployed, youth work is my field... so we have that in common! dropout/GED program, wellness education, youth community organizing, pregnant and parenting teens, lots of overlap with probation. can you make a type of cookie you dont like? i hate raisins so if im worried i can make oatmeal raisin for whatever event!

lisa, is Ps party soon? we had JJs sat... funfunfun!! illl try to post a pic of him eating cake/making a huge mess on dh. you asked about yoga - ive worked up to 35m vinyasa flow sessions at home, still not ready for 90m class, hope soon. my wrists are better but not great.

so i realized i should post what im eating if i want any feedback at all!! yesterday was not a typical day for me, too much running around and i ate out which i dont do often, but here itis:

brkfst: coffee w/skim and sugar - is sugar unclean?? 1/2 tsp in my huge coffee mug. plus a luna bar, we were on the run.

lunch: met friends at a venezuelan place...black beans on (unfortunately white) rice, yuca, plantain, grilled chicken. the dressing was cilantro/basil/oo/spices...clean but more oil than i needed. oh and a margarita, oh boy. this does not happen often!

dinner: weekend leftovers -- put tons out for my guys but i only ate pot roast from rosh hashanah dinner, a little orzo salad, carrots and chard.

im good at keeping my portions small. just look at my dh and then eat about 1/3 of that!!

workouts:
walked approx 7 miles yesterday. plus 20m of baptiste long and lean.
today i have gym planned after morning nap, either bike or treadmill intervals. like to fit in squeeze during pm nap if time after prepping dinner!

sorry for the novel, ladies, you will be sick of my posts pretty quick =)

This morning was Max Interval Plyo along with a 15 minute run (I am supposed to be at 20 min but I just couldn't do it - my glutes were sore and I was worried about reinjuring my knee). Once I finish insanity I will work on building my running more. I am tired today and I don't really have anything specific to do so it may be a long day.

Wendy & Jennifer, I am a program manager working on a dept. of education contract for the govt. I have been married to my wonderful husband for 7 years and I have been doing Cathe for 4-5 years.
Katie, sorry about your long morning in court. I really hate it when I have to go all morning without food. Good luck with the cookies - make something you don't like.
Angie, we did the same workout today. The good thing about all those pushups is the muscles in your chest will start popping out.

Hey girls,

Having a quiet afternoon here but getting a lot done. Just went through all our finances (always fun) and stopped by the grocery store for some chicken. Doing some laundry and just watched last night's episode of J&K+8. I am mad because I got the "season pass" from itunes and it was expensive so now I feel like I have to watch it but I hate the whole thing. This week's show was cute though. I wish I could get my kids to eat veggies like hers do!

Lisa, I'll be interested to see what you think about insanity. It's been crazy for us but I really think it is working. I'm seeing so much definition!

Katie, ^5 for not binging y'day after court. I totally would have ran for something like a burrito and justified it b/c I was so hungry - PROPS! And please enjoy yourself a cookie. You can't resist for too long or you will end up binging (at least I would). One cookie won't hurt you but 10 might!

Becky, hope you have a good WO - I miss imax! That will definitely be one of the first things I reach for post insanity!

Kate, I'm so excited for your and your addition. I can't wait to have a big kitchen someday! You can see the whole infomercial for insanity on you tube.

Robin, sorry for the late sleep. Hope work goes well. I think your pull up goals are good!

Nina, glad your running is going well. Sorry about the recent homesickness... believe me I can relate! After insanity I am going to do 4 weeks with FF's Jan rotation (might change up the cardio a bit) and then Ryan and I plan to do insanity again for the 2 weeks or so before we go to IL and our cruise (which is 96 days away!!)!

Patti, we miss you too! I understand needing time away from the computer though. You're welcome here whenever and don't feel like you need to do personals. Just say hi, let us know you're OK!

Wendy & Jennifer, WELCOME! Sorry I haven't introduced myself. I'm Angie (obviously), married to Ryan (my hs sweetheart) for 7.5 years and we have 2 little girls (Annabel - almost 5 and Noelle (call her Ellie - 3). We currently live in northern France (which is why I start our thread most days as I am 6 hours ahead of EST) because my husband works for Caterpillar and they have us on a 2.5-3 year assignment. It's a crazy life right now but it's a good one. I've been doing Cathe workouts for almost 3 years - discovered her on Fit TV, first purchase was 4DS and now I have everything but STS and S&H! I'm a glutton for punishment (and all these ladies here are super enablers!).

Wendy, your eats look good - food is such a hard thing!

Colleen, I agree about the pushups. I was AMAZED that I could do all 16 of the first set of the level 3 drills on my toes. I was so proud of myself. The second set I did about 5 and then went to my knees. I was beyond thrilled when he didn't repeat that last set 3 times. I thought I was going to die doing those sideways push up things. Ugh.

Klaudia, BB is really about the ab workouts! Have you done Shaun T's hip hop abs?

OK, time to be done with computer (oh... Cathe's on the forums for the next hour... EEK!)

Morning!

Ended up going out to breakfast with some of the neighborhood moms-I had fruit lover's french toast-no powdered sugar, no whipped cream:) Going down to do some hiit and abs before I have to go pick up Nevena. Dance and PTO tonight. Thinking about a pot roast for dinner-never made it last week.

Angie, I've not done Hip Hop Abs. The only BB stuff I have is P90X and the original P90 that my mom gave me. Great workout!

Lisa, thanks for the reminder-I need to send out evites for the girls' party. I need to get back to my incline walks-my butt is sorely in need of some lift!

Katie, keep away cookie vibes coming your way! I think making a cookie you fel "meh" about is the way to go. I can't imagine going that long without food-cranky is right!

Breakfast : protein pancake
lunch: 1/2 chicken wrap (no sauces) lowfat cottage cheese with a garden tomato
snack that I will have pretty soon : blueberry/banana smoothie
dinner : still undecided
