Looks like I am up and at it earliest this morning, so I will get us started.

Today I would like to pose the question: What does "eating clean" mean to you?

As for me... I have never read the book, but I understand the basic premis. But I know myself well enough to know that I love certain foods too much to ever really go there.

So for me, "eating clean" means cooking at home, not eating out (so that I know what is in my food), trying to eat a balanced diet of all food groups, limiting the fats and sweets, and watching the calorie intake.

Here's what today looks like for me...

W/O Gym Styles BBS

B cereal or oatmeal
S half sandwich
L chicken and yogurt w/fruit
S wheat crackers w/low fat cheese
D chicken pasta and broccoli

Good luck today and allllll weekend, ladies!

Speaking of -- what is everyone up to this weekend? I have a wedding to attend on Saturday, and possibly a wedding expo in my town on Sunday.

Hey Ladies TGIF is right.

hhhmmm eating clean to me seems like a simple way to eat after all nothing is suppose to be processed. Clean eating I'm suppose to eat a lot of low fat meats, veggies, fruit and high grain pastas and rice. My only problem is my snacks. I can eat clean meals but when it comes to snacks I slip up. Yesterday I was stressed so I brought a box of Dove Chocolate Mint cookies and ate about 2, no 4, maybe even 6...I lost count:-( . Does anyone else have this problem with snacks?

Yesterday I could not workout so today I did Amy's Kickbox Xtreme premix #2 with core exercises. I really like Amy's w/o and may buy some more after Cathe's 4- Day comes.

Enjoy your wedding Katie. This weekend I have girl scouts, and we are going to make smores (not clean nor tidy LOL) I guess I'll buy some oranges and cut them up also.

b- egg white or kashi
s-yogurt
l-fish baked and salad

Hello Katie and Robin, and all clean eaters to follow!

Katie, you are going to be weddinged out :) I always find the food great at weddings, that a bad thing!

Robin, i havent done that premix or the abs on that workout, is it good? When my back is well, back...i cant wait to hit it again!

Last night i managed some pilates again, and abs from KPC on the ball, i just took it easy and didnt use the weight for the woodchoppers.

Eating clean for me means food in its most natural state, i agree about cooking at home as well. I try not to add anything to food, except herbs. I stopped things like Ketchup, and now use pureed tomato and garlic. But, i slip up, weekends are a nightmare!
We have couples counselling on Saturday, that's fun :) and Sunday i'm going to prepare for my trip and the midterm i'm giving at school on Monday morning. Fun weekend! I leave for London next Friday though!!
Tonight, i'm going to try to workout, i'm going to ask the doc today.
I'm writing a lot, i'll post menu later.
All the best ladies,
Steph

Good Morning!

I'm starting late this morning. I decided to do some cleaning when I wokeup. Clean eating to me is eating a variety of fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, legumes, low fat meat/poultry/fish, healthy & necessary fats without adding to or changing the food from it's natural state too much other than cooking it. I do add fresh herbs, pepper and some sea salt. I try to avoid processed foods. I love ketchup though! Oh, I love ff milk, lf cottage cheese and ff plain yogurt. Is dairy considered clean? BTW, dark chocolate is a clean food to me.;)

Robin, I have the same problem with sweets. My meals are typically clean, but I have such a sweet tooth. I love to bake and sample several of whatever I have made. Oh, I use ww flour and try to buy as many organic ingredients as the budget allows. That's how I rationalize eating my baked goods.;) I really like Amy. Did you preorder her latest series? I did and am looking forward to it.

Katie, Great question! Have fun with your workout!

Stephanie, Are you a teacher? London sounds wonderful. That's pretty cool that you attend couples counseling and enjoy it!

Hello everyone else and have a great day. It's time for BBC chest & arms + floor cardio! I am enjoying BBC!

A friend in fitness,
Shirl

Shirl I haven't pre-ordered Amy new stuff yet but i've been looking and looking. I'm still waiting on Cathe. LOL

Slow day/night in here ladies...

I am happy to report that my eating went as planned -- no slips, no sweets, just good clean food!

Tomorrow will be a rest day most likely, which makes me nervous because I will also cheat on the eating end as well.

Although, I have noticed in the past that when I eat really clean for 3 or 4 days, then have a cheat meal, then go back to clean, it helps the scale move DOWN a little. Anyone noticed this?

Have a good weekend everyone!
