+++++ clean & tidy monday +++++

Here I am on Monday morning of my "rest/recovery" week, and I am up early to work out!

First of all, I looked at a calendar and realized that I miscalculated the number of weeks til my wedding -- DUH! So I can actually take this week off from my "focused" program, and go back and pick back up and not miss anything.

Here are my goals this week: 1) lift a weight ONLY when I really really want to, 2) learn Rhythmic Step, and 3) re-read the nutrition section of NROLFW.

I am going to try at least combo one of RS this morning and see how it goes. Hopefully without so much pressure, I will do better! Menu for today...

B cereal
S fruit, almonds
L chicken and grilled veggies
S larabar?
D shephard's pie
 
YAY, I got combo one and about half of combo two!

Can anyone explain the concept of calorie zig-zagging to me??

Later on my w/o will be Kickbox and Bicepts.

My menu is about the same
b-oatmeal
s-1/2banana and yogurt
l-chicken and brocoli
d-chicken breast and salad
s-ceral and lowfat milk

I need to put in 5-6 grams of fiber in this menu.Hmmm

I'm getting so excited about the new STS series!:D

Sorry i was MIA yesterday, i was superduper grumpmax, and i think i got the tummy bug Katie had, lots of bathroom visits! TMI!

Katie, enjoy the week, great goals!! I need one, i feel it hurten all over, i havent had a rest day since December 25th. Zig zagging is just that, alternating higher calorie days, with low calorie days. the thought is it may change metabolism. If you google it, there are tons of sites that show you how to do it.

Robin, which diet are you doing, wheat and berries or greens and berries? I have been adding Glucomman to my meals for 2 years now, i think the diet is quite good, i actually know the author, she also wrote NROLFW. Let me know if you have any questions, i read the book for my column.

I have a team building day at work today...great, and my boss isnt coming either, so what's the point?
Yesterday i did alright, CS and very clean!

today, workout will be KCM stepboxing and probably KM blasts and core

B:...egg whites, fibre, almonds, blueberries (no oatmeal!)
s: cc/pp/almonds
L corn soup, carrots, celery, hummus, apple
s: ryveta and almond butter
d: egg white omelette, salad, ezekial, strawberries, and yogurt
s; kamut puff and almond milk

I won Stretch Max but I lost the Terminator. I couldn't stay up until the action ended and someone outbid me by $2. I didn't really want the terminator - I just bid on it because it sounded fun.

Robin, good luck on your diet. Not sure how you can get more fiber. Maybe eat an apple?
Steph, hope you are feeling better today. My manager schedules all this lovely dovey stuff and then reschedules it 40 times. It is really a pain.
Kate, glad you got rid of the cake last night.

The zig-zagging calories thing really seems complicated. Thanks for the link, Robin! I guess I am just considering spreading my "cheat meals" more evenly thru the week, rather than just letting all hell break loose on the weekends. Basically the same concept, right? A higher calorie meal every other or every third day??

I have a tremendous headache -- from stress, exacerbated by hunger, I am sure. I got so busy at work this morning that I didn't eat my snack when I should have, and now I am starving!
 
Just wanted to disclose... I added broccoli to my lunch, but was still hungry so I ate 3 small cubes of cheddar cheese. I am really craving some chocolate, but I am trying to resist. I am PMS'ing baaaaaaaaaaaaaad, and there are thin mints at my office.....}(
 
Good afternoon! I finally made it to the computer! This has been a not-so-stellar day. Last night my mom called and offered to watch Isabel this AM so I could get some work done. I took her over there and was so tired adn sick I stayed there napping and puking. We're home now, lunch is done, DDs are playing. Mommy is bringing food for our dinner tonight. I take back everything bad I ever said about her....almost!:+ I have to be at our preschool tonight for the open house... a "perk" of being on the board! NOT! And tomorrow is a board mtg. Lots to do. I'm supposed to bake a bunch of cookies using the cookie dough I have left from our fundraiser for the OH tonight. Not what I feel like doing. At least I don't have to mix it.

Katie, ^5 on RS. That one is super fun. What does it feel like to exercise??? I hardly remember. Good luck witht he Thin Mints. Wish I had some right now. Mint settles the stomach, right?!:p

Steph, NO OATMEAL FOR BREAKFAST!? What are you thinking?!?!:) And you need a rest day! My word! That's almost 3 months with no rest day!

I can't believe I found a break in the middle of the day to check in.

Kate, sorry you are so tired. I am glad your Mom can help you out. DH rolled his eyes when I told him about it. I converted from contractor to employee in August and he just said not another job. I am having a hard time finding a job that challenges me enough for more than a couple of years. I just don't want to waste away somewhere.

Katie, sending you thin mints resistance vibes. I was not very successful at lunch today.

Colleen, Glad you had a break - thanks for sharing it with us! I understand wanting to be challenged - I hope something works out for you. I can think of a lot worse cheats than a Shamrock shake. I like a few sips of DH's then no more.

Anybody have plans for St Pat's? We never do. Neither one of us have ever even drank so that part of the holiday doesn't really appeal to us. The Shamrock Shakes aren't too bad though!

My stepdad just dropped off our dinner to us. Its so nice to have homemade that I don't make right now. And I am sooooo tired of eating out.

Colleen's BBQ Salmon sounds soooooo good.

I finished my w/o and had some fun with kickboxing. Now I miss heavy weight ;-) . I was sooo hungry after I finish that I grab a bad snack :( but just a hang full. I need to have something ready for my post w/o.

I love the new blog pics but they don't have enough pics of Robert;-) with his shirt off.
 
My clean dinner was GROSS!!x( Bleh! I didn't have all the ingredients, so I did the best I could with what was in the pantry and it was GROSS!!

Robin, My GS cookies come in Thursday...wah! Somebody take 'em away before I eat em!!! Funny on Robert!! Robin's got a boyfriend!!!

I'm doing pretty good right now. I'd like to WO but I HAVE to paperworkmax or I'm gonna be in big trouble!
