I am happy! So far I am pretty consistent with my loss. My eating was not great this weekend, so I am thrilled to still see a loss this morning. I expect my weight to go UP next week because I am changing my weight workouts.

Speaking of, here is my plan for the month of November. I am leaving the Gym Styles (tears!) for the 4 Day Split. My week will look like this...

F lower body weights and extended stretch OR rest
S step cardio (1 hour)

I have got my equipment and my workout space all ready for these new workouts. However, I am nervous that I do not have weights that are heavy enough. I will give it one week and see if I need to purchase something else or not...

I went grocery shopping yesterday and got lots of yummy clean food for the week! I got lots of fruits, veggies, lean meats, and whole grains. With the switch over to the new weight work, I am going to make a few changes in my diet... First, I am going to try to eat MORE veggies, fewer carbs. Second, I am going to focus on my water intake so that my muscles are getting the hydration they need. Third, I am going to go back to having a protein shake for breakfast right after I finish my workouts. I have some BSN Lean Dessert Protein on the way, but I will use the not-so-yummy stuff in the meantime.

Today's Menu~

B smoothie w/frozen strawberries and 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
S half sandwich
L tuna, crackers, baby carrots
S apple slices, string cheese
D ???

Great job, Katie!!!!!!!!!! You sound like you've got an awesome plan for yourself! Props to you! I've always wanted to do protein shakes, but my workouts are 99% of the time at night, like 8-9PM. I hate thinking of drinking something like that at that hour. I already wake up at 5 to start the day, so waking up earlier is just not an option for me.

Well, I'm down a 1/2 lb. (to 138) which I'm actually pretty content with. (Hey, it's better than gaining a 1/2 lb!). This was a very stressful week and I made it thru it. This week should be much better.

today:

l - romaine, chicken, veggies, maybe salsa
s - Fiber 1 Bar, maybe???
d - not sure yet

We're taking the girls trick-or-treating tonight to make up for them missing it last week. We'll just go to neighbors and realtives that know we missed it. It's supposed to be a rain/snow (!) mix tonight but we won't really be door-to-door anyway. We'll probably end up at Wendy's or something, so I'll likely be eating another salad w/ chicken tonight. I will not be eating any H'ween candy.

Workout will be Bootcamp & weights - yay!

Water intake will of course be high all the day thru.

Colleen, Glad to see your post from last night. I looked up the recipe for your pot pie. It looks really good! I would love to make it but DDs would turn their noses up for sure! Hope you have a good day today.

Good Morning,

Congratulations on the weight loss Kate and Katie. I maintained this week. I'm happy with that considering how I ate. This week is going to be better. We are healthy, strong, fit women! I'm starting Amy's rotation; Slo-Mo legs today. I really liked it the first time. We'll see how it goes this am. I'll check in with my menu after my workout.

OK enough of the junk eating... I gain back my 1/2 pound and I now weigh 160;( ;( I know why, too much carbs!!!

I like your rotation Katie and I was also thinking of getting heavier weights. I think I need 25# for the back work. I'm with you I need to take in less carbs.

Hi Colleen what's new.

Today's w/o powerwalking and 4 day kickbox Abs.

Menu
b-egg whites and banana
s-mix nuts and tea
l- fish and veggies, tangerine
d-pasta and gd.turkey 1 serving and veggies
s-popcorn but not after 7:00

I'm going to try and get at least 3 or 4 ab w/o per week and drink water (64 oz). I'm also going to start (again) measuring my portions and eating fruit and or veggies at every meal.

Shirl what does your Amy rotation look like?

Robin, menu looks great, i love the abs from the new workouts too. My aunt lived in Queens before she passed, but i never got a chance to visit. I'm just across the border, well, a few hours away, but no snow here in Toronto.

Today i'm going to attempt lowmax, my first step workout since the back fiasco. and abs.

Menu, much better than Saturday, even yesterday was better.

s: puffed kamut/almond milk

I hail from Michigan.

AM Snack today ended up being cashews and a few tortilla chips while I was grocery shopping w/ DD. Very filling. Will have a later lunch to compensate.

Katie - good plan. You should also look at getting Amy's slo-mo. You don't need heavy weights but really effective. It is a nice change from Gym Style
Kate - sorry your DD's won't like the recipe.
Shirl - I had DOM's for 3 days after Slo-Mo legs. I am going to try again tomorrow.
Robin - good menu. sorry about your weight gain. Keep focused and you should lose it this week.

I lost the weight I gained last week which is a surprise because I don't think my eating was very clean.

I am going to mix Amy Bento's Slo-Mo with Cathe's 4DS this month.

My lunch was more like a snack. Apple and some more cashews - I just love fresh nuts! (Wow - you could take that RELLY BAD!)

I am on hold right now and there are 23(!) call ahead of me......I should put the phone on speaker and start Bootcamp!

I have to watch my portions though!!
You probably could get a 30 minute workout in there, maybe that's another good use for them!! I'm going to time it with my next call to the gas or hydro company.

Good evening everyone! Sorry I didn't check on you at lunch -- I met DF at Qdoba for lunch -- OOPS! I had a naked chicken fajita burrito (relatively clean and YUMMY), but I had cheese and sour cream (DIRTY).

Tomorrow will be better -- I am off work for Election Day!!

Here I am, here I am!

I was out trick-or-treating w/ my girls & DH. We had a blast...and I had a butterfinger. I haven't had one of these in YEARS and it was so good. Burned it off w/ bootcamp & weights. DDs were both princesses, I was a burly fat man, and DH was an old woman! He was such a good sport. Nylons, stuffed bra, makeup, curlers, the whole 9 yards. He is a very macho, masculine construction-type. I would LOVE to send pics to our contractors and suppliers! He would never hear the end of it!

We have a Qdoba about 30 min. from us - never ate there, but it sounds good.
