Mikkia- how’s the rain in Texas, isn’t usually super hot down there in July.

Stephanie D-, I like the Golean Waffles. I added microwave fruit to make them a sweet. I’m glad that your back is feeling better. What kind of dogs do you have?

Thanks Colleen for the recipe. I’m going to try to make this sometime this week. I also get great recipes from the Food Channel, like pork tenderloin with apples.

Robin, my back feels a bit better today, thank you for asking :) I have 2 dogs, a boston terrier and a pug! They are a handful, what am i gonna do if i have children :)
Well, we went to visit my parents yesterday, and i did ok til the warm apple crisp came out!!! Apple and cinnamon anything is my weakness!!! i can go without chocolate, but apple pie, apple crisp, apple anything...yum!! so i had a bit, oh well!!
New day today

Good morning! Its raining here again. I am trying to use positive thinking to send all of this rain to you, Collen on the east coast. I must not be trying hard enough.

My legs are on fire, but until I started doing all of this lunges I never, ever had definition in my legs. They were always my problem area(still are but look a little better!) so I keep going, I put on what ever I have on Tivo and it takes about 15 minutes.

Steph-2 dogs are a handful! Are boston terriers hyper? They are so cute.
I am going to ME today, and some more lunges.

Stephanie - I love warm apple anything. If it is cold it doesn't taste the same. Oh well, today is a new day.

I am taking a rest break from my workouts. I have a cold and I have been struggling during the last week to get out of bed and do my workouts. So I decided maybe its my body's way of saying I need a break. I have not decided the duration of my break only that I have to start working again no later than this Saturday. I hope to start working out again on Wednesday but I am going to listen to my body.

Here's my eating plan:
B: shredded wheat w/ almonds
L: leftover shrimp jambalaya, grapes
S: berries w/ yogurt, carrots
D: TBD
 
Well, we had a busy weekend so I was MIA here but it's good to read everyone's posts.

Robin, Happy B*Day! Enjoy your cake (one of my total weaknesses)! Do you honestly eat sardines!!!!!

Steph - MMM...apples. Do you think 2 dogs really are busier than 1? I wolf think they would keep each other busy so they wouldn't need as much attention. We have a great dane (Annie) and we love her to pieces. I JUST found out about a g.dane that is for sale and I am UNBELIEVABLY TEMPTED to go pick him up tonight. He's 9 wks. old and looks just like Annie - black w/ white on his chest. How cool would that be to have identical dogs! I am so excited but at the same time I'm not sure I want to potty-train, make sure we're home all the time, puupy-proof (Annie was a TERRIBLE chewer), watch out for my landscaping, etc. But I would love for Annie to have a playmate! Any thoughts from anyone....

Mikkia - Wish we had some of your rain! DH is driving me crazy w/ constant watering of our lawn. Everyone else's around us is brown but ours is like green carpet. Hate to think how much energy we're wasting. But, it's his only *vice*. He doesn't drink, smoke, or hand out at the bar. He's home every night for dinner and he loves me and our girls like crazy. So I guess I can put up w/ the watering.

Trixie - Get well soon! I've been slack on my workouts the last couple of weeks but tonight I'm starting a slow/heavy rotation. I'm really looking forward to it.

Oohhh Kate, i love great danes!!
Mikkia, neither one are hyper, but i think all puppies are hyper!
The 2 dogs, Bowie (now 6 years old) and Roxie (1 year!) do keep each other entertained. DH works from home most of the time now, and evenings otherwise, so puppy training worked out well. Oh, go for it, get another! Danes are so big, do they sleep in bed with you?? Mine do!

Okay, after vacation and period time I am back to clean eating.

Today's workout was Jari Love Ripped 1000 (tried it for the first time and LOVED IT!) and I am getting ready to go for a walk with Jen from the Atlanta Cathe group (she lives a mile away!!!).

I woke up late and didn't have time for breakfast because I can't work out right after I eat. So, my day so far:

L: big salad from Whole Foods with tofu cubes; watermelon and strawberries
S: plum
S: dried strawberries and bananas (got it at WF)
D: soy nuggets
S: ???

Back to day one as far as sugar. At least doing this for almost two months before showed me I can kick the sugar habit.

Off to go walking! So glad to be back!
 
Hi! I'm new here, I hope it's okay to just jump in and post, and that I'm doing it right :)

I've been working out consistantly for awhile now and it's just a clean diet that I need to get on track with, so I thought this would be the best place for me. I'm also a vegan/vegetarian & I'm allergic to peanuts, so I've got to be careful to get what I need. I hope it's okay to post at the end of the day, rather than the beginning? Here's what I've had:

B - One scrambled "egg" & 1 c. pineapple chunks
L - Protein shake w/ 1/2 OJ & 1/2 soymilk, apple
S - 1 cucumber & a whole food bar
D - Homemade veggie mini pizza w/ basil & tomato
S - Some kind of fruit & soymilk

For a workout, I'm doing Kick, Punch & Crunch for the first time!
 
Welcome! It must be hard being a vegan and allergic to peanuts. It always seems that soy products always say was "manufactured in a factory that also processes peanuts"! You can post anytime you like, the posters here are all great and well informed.
What do you use instead of eggs?
