Uggghhhh, I have to go to work.... But, only 3 days this week!

I am lifting this morning - not sure what. BBIAB......
 
DH is back to work today too ......and of course it's 19 degrees and snowed last night !!!!! Brrrr (don't like the cold but wish we would have had the snow at Christmas instead of a totally unexpected near 50 degrees and RAIN !!)

So MAYBE I can get the eating under control and..........I am THRILLED to be able to workout again !!!

Not sure what I'm doing yet.........need cardio AND strength......AND abs.........LOL

Morning ladies.

I started shopping in this new discount store called ALDI. The have super cheap foods and the supermarket is very clean. The meats are a good size for the price. Plus they have "dieters" food called fit & active.

The only thing is you have to bring your own or buy their recycle bags because they don't use plastic bags.

I only work til 12 noon so I will be able to w/o this afternoon.

ok.... 4 months til Florida. Not long. Not long at all. We NEED to clean up our act. Mike and I made a pact - no dessert/sugar/extras til his birthday which is 2 weeks away. We MUST hit a WO every night after DDs go to bed. And no Wii playing until the WO is done.

WO - not sure yet - maybe one of Cathe's new step WOs

robin, that store sounds good. i grocery shopped yday but did not go to our commisary due to time. i was shocked at the bill:eek:

kate, great looking meals, but i think i'd keal over from lack of energy. hope it works for you though.

i am getting so lazy. with dh gone i have been sleeping in most mornings and exercising later in the day because there is noone around to tell me not to:confused: today i will go to the gym with kids and run. need to do core and legs too, but we will see. playdate this afternoon with a friend of finn's, here, and playground this morning. glad my day will keep moving along, though. i need it.

who has tried the mma on sc?
 
Morning again - I decided to go with what I know works - Gym Styles. Did Legs today, will do a short cardio (walk/run) tonight to try to keep the juices flowing and DOMS down.

Robin, is the retail work settling down yet?
Kate, good plan with Mike! Chris and I still have one more holiday celebration this weekend (and we will be at someone else's house, which makes it even harder) so we are going to just do our best until after that.
Becky, do you have time to do the full BM2? How much snow did you get?

Nina, you snuck in! SC I have tried Athletic Step, Circuit Blast and MMA Kickbox. I really liked the MMA. Re: sleeping in/working out later... Sleep is GOOD for you and the daycare at the gym (I assume this is where the boys go) is GOOD for the boys (IMHO)! Don't mommy-guilt yourself!
 
NIna, I highly doubt you are LAZY! Like, I am so sure!:p You're just rearranging your schedule and you're still getting WOs in! Your body NEEDS that rest! Take it! Sounds like you're going to have a great day! Enjoy!

thanks katie:D i needed that this morning. i am just such a creature of habit, and i know part of the sleeping in this is a mild depression - time of year, lack of job, dh gone. but for now i will just go with it and work those endorphins. i cannot wait to try circuit blast, if my sc ever comes!
 
BM2 would have been a great choice for me today, but I was already working out....didn't see that suggestion first.
But I did SC boxing and LOVED IT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I figure that covered upper/lower/cardio and abs. The ab drills at the end are awesome !!!

Becky, I was going to suggest Cardio & Weights, but it sounds like it's too late! Glad you enjoyed what you did.

Nina, you are NOT lazy! Geesh. If you knew how little I did yesterday you'd understand why I say that.

Katie, the Gym Styles are great. I hope your knee is feeling better.

Robin, I haven't been to Aldi either, but I know the one Kate is talking about. It's right by my house. I'll have to check it out.

Kate, good plan! I'd love to have lunch this week, just let me know what works for you. Tuesdays are rough because I usually have meetings (which may or may not get canceled and I never know until the last minute). But Wed, Thu or Sat would be good. It's my weekend to go to my parents and I decided to go on Friday since I'm off that day and then I'll have Sat and Sun to myself.

Oh, Colleen, I highly recommend getting a pillowtop mattress. I know, it depends on how you like to sleep, but I have a king size Serta Perfect Sleeper Night Star Elite II Pillowtop. It's the best bed ever. There was no way you know who was getting that, ha! I sleep better at home than anywhere else.

Hi to everybody who follows!

So, my parents were even more generous than usual this year (we all get a check for Christmas) so I decided I'm going to get STS Strength to go with STS Cardio. Is it easy to figure out the 1RM stuff once you get the guide? I need to get back on the bandwagon and I figure all new work outs will help me do that.

I'm working Mon-Thu this week. We don't have New Year's Eve off, but we usually get to leave early. It's quiet, though, so there's time to play some catch up.
 
Good Morning Everyone!

Back to work - ugh. I work Mon - Thurs this week but hopefully I can sneak out a little early on Thurs. It was a crazy morning trying to get cleaned up for the cleaning lady and I felt like I needed a bulldozer to get rid of all the clutter over the past couple of days. Workout was Lauren Brooks Kettlebells vol. 1 and Kelly Coffey-Meyer 30 min Cardio Blast Plyo. I am getting much better at kettlebells and I am definitely beginning to feel it. The Cardio Blast Plyo wasn't too taxing cardiowise but my legs are fried and we didn't use weights.

Anne, thanks for the recommendation. We are going to discuss it tonight. 1RM is a pain but you can cheat a little because some of the exercises are similar. I found I had to adjust once I did the workout too.
Nina, you are not lazy. IKWM about the mild depression. It is good to ease up every so often. I hope you get your SC today.
Katie, good call with the GS this week.
Kate, excellent plan for the sweets. I am starting next week after I eat all the delicious cookies my aunt made. I look forward to them every year and I just can't bear to throw them away.
Robin, I never heard of Aldi - but that is a good find.
Becky, I haven't tried boxing yet. I did MMA Fusion yesterday and it was a lot of fun.

Katie, I feel the same about work! Two more to go after today.

Becky, I know what you mean about getting the eating under control! I did workout all last week except for Thur, but ate way too many of the wrong things, and the scale is showing it badly.

Robin, glad you only have to work until noon today.

Kate, yes, you can do it-4 months :) Are you having fun with the Wii?

Nina, I tried Fusion. I enjoyed it, liked the mix. You are still working out so no worries on sleeping late :)

Anne, I used the workout manager to enter the 1RM and didn’t use the guide at all. It can feel cumbersome, but like Colleen said, you can use the same #s for some of the similar exercises. I did them over about a week.

Did my first Hiit workout yesterday 30/30 – it wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. I was thinking I would have lost more cardio endurance with slacking on exercise during vacation and then going right into the holidays. I really like it, it moved fast.

I am trying to do better on clean eating today-it is actually easier when I am at work so hopefully that will help.

Clintonya, Yes, the Wii is fun. For some frustrating reason tho Mario won't play today. Cleaned the disk but not reading it....weird. Maddening. Why does nothing work??!?!!

I think Clean eating is easier when away too. At home it's so easy to graze.:confused: Mindless Boredom eating gets me every time.
 
Wednesday would be great, Kate! (Hey, that rhymes. :D) I could probably take the afternoon off so we wouldn't have to rush. I'll send you a PM.

Hey all!

I'm here, just trying to get back in the swing of things after a rough 10 days. I've been reading, but haven't felt like posting. I'm glad everyone had a wonderful holiday-I did too aside from my issues. I haven't even opened SC yet! I'm hoping to get back to my workouts today-maybe SS. And I need get back to my clean eating attempts! Thank goodness the cookies are gone!

Kate, where and when are you and Anne getting together?

I did circuit blast this evening. I need to get on some type of rotation – I have just been picking from the new workouts depending on how I feel. If my upper body feels up to it, I may do amy bento kettlebell dynamics tomorrow. Eating is still going good for the day. I am off to Costco - hope everyone has a good night!

Robin - I love when I find new stores to shop at esp. for food.

Nina - Sleeping in every now and then is good I think. I slept in today also so I have yet to do my wo, but I do love getting my wo done in the morning. Sorry about the blues.

Kate - I don't know about my kids being whiny, but I sure feel whiny, lol. Good goals! You can do it!

Katie - I love my GS series. Def. a good one to get you going. P was the same. Content with just being there. She did love what she got though esp. her crayons and giant coloring book.

Klaudia - Hi there! Miss seeing you around. I hear you on being glad the sweets are gone! Hope everything is okay.

Colleen - We bought a new mattress last year and love it. I think going for what feels the most comfy is worth the money.

Clintoya - You must have joined in while I was MIA, but nice to see you here.

Ouch, my body is having some doms from my wo yesterday. I'm going to do Athletic Step once I get off my butt here while P is napping. Eating has been on and off. I'm feeling in a bit of a funk and trying to snap out of it, but eugh, I've been stress eating. We're hoping to buy a house next year and try to separate ourselves from our families a little bit more so we don't always feel the obligation to do stuff for/with them everytime kwim? I love our families, but some days I just need some down time. It's like my mom called today to ask if I would stop by and pick up food on New Year's Eve and I felt like she was making it hard to say no so I caved, but now I'm like, another thing to have to do. She doesn't live that far away, but you get the picture. Don't get me started with all the things we have to do with DH's family. Anyway, sorry for being a whiner. Hope the wo helps me feel better.
